"A couple pints and some finger foods ... all of it was pretty good. In particular, the mushroom empanadas were very tasty. The chicken wings were also good but they are basted in that thick, sticky, sweet sauce, so you gotta like that. Fried calamari was light and fluffy. Beers on tap of several varieties. Service was fast to start, but we ordered the calamari in the "second batch" and they took 20+ minutes. Not cool. But this has a real brew pub atmosphere and there are games on the tv's. Pretty cool hangout spot."
"Hung out at Barebottle for the husband's birthday and overall, had a nice time! Our group arrived around noon and although the place was busy, we were able to grab a table. Barebottle offers a wide selection of beers in which we couldn't decide on just one. So, we opted for the flight and I'm glad we did, because all of them tasted good!Staff was friendly, service was quick, and prices were fair. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and atmosphere is chill yet lively. All in all, solid taproom."
"I've been a fan of their beers for years now. I've never actually been to one of the brewery locations, but have had their beers when it was on tap at beer bars or when friends within my craft beer group have brought cans/bottles to shares. This location is right by Jack London square (if not located within the square?). The space feels like a hybrid brewery and a clean, nicer pub/ restaurant. In terms of service, you order at the bar/ counter when you walk in or you can order from a QR code (toast tab if I recall) and they bring your food and drinks. A friend of mine said their bar pies were really great, so that's what I wanted to order. They also have Detroit style pizzas that sound and look delicious (maybe next time). I ended up ordering the seasonal bar pie, which at the time, was the fall harvest. The toppings just sounded so amazing. A variety of fresh seasonal vegetables.... the pie is cut up like a grid so you can pick up small pieces and eat easily and these are very shareable. The crust had nice caramelized cheese that provided a nice crunch and concentrated flavor. Just a really big fan. I would love to try the pepperoni, but it's hard to pass up the seasonal pies. Oh and as luck would have it, they had one of their barrel aged stouts (my fave!!!) on tap during the visit. It was the Old Rip Van Winkle Vastness of Space. It had everything I loved about BA stouts. I rated it high on Untappd as well (the high average suggests I'm not alone in loving this beer). Just a really cool spot and if you are a fan of their beer or beer with good food in general, this place is a place that should be frequented.I was here on a Saturday afternoon and parking along the street, especially if you don't mind walking a bit, was really easy to find."

Headed down to Murphy street this wasn't my first choice but glad we picked it. Had the fried chicken sandwich , family member had a bacon burger and the service for ordering was very good. Bartender is a guy seen here many times and provides excellent service This place usually has people in it but not over crowded. One thing very cool is they provide you samples on the beers when trying their large selection and so problem trying multiple Fully recommend giving this place a try. Good environment and friendly staff all around

Apart from beers, this is a great place to celebrate simple and chill gatherings with friends! Booked a few tables online to celebrate a friend's birthday and everyone had fun.We got to bring our own food, and then we got our drinks from their bar (outside drinks not allowed). They have a good variety of beers and drinks to choose from, and both ladies and gents from the guests got to choose a good drink to fit their preferences. Prices are also decent. The place is pretty spacious. There were 20+ of us and we had areas to move around and mingle without bothering other regular customers. The staff were nice. It's not that busy between 1pm - 3pm on a Saturday. But I saw more groups coming in after that. Highly recommended. Thanks!

Awesome place with plenty of parking on a Friday night on the street. The place is clean and pretty spacious. The bathroom is clean and modern as well. Good selection of food and drinks. I love that now they offer my favorite sour beers from The Rare Barrel. Pizza Detroit style we got was good but a bit salty. Service was friendly.

Love Olfactory Brewing in San Francisco because their beers are A+ but decided I HAD to drag my friend out their new Berkeley outpost for their Chicago grub since my friend is from Chicago and misses Italian beef so much that he orders Portillo's on the regular. Dedicated man. Never mind that he doesn't even drink, but...food for him and more beer for me! Win-win, I'll say ;) SO DID IT LIVE UP TO THE HYPE???Short answer: YES!!! the food and beer were both amazing - the beer was a foregone conclusion but to top it off, they had a smidge left of this experimental European-style beer that I thankfully was able to try and that was a special treat. The Italian beef was juicy and had just the right amount of sog without losing it's structural integrity. Wish they had the Chicago goods in San Francisco but guess they gotta dangle incentives to keep us coming across the bay...so fine, definitely coming back soon!

We came here after the Cal Game we arrived around 4:30 for an early dinner. We are not students. We are in 50's and it was a good happening environment. This was our first time here. We picked this place because it had a crowed inside. Mostly college students. The Thai place was empty so we voted for the place with other people in it. We snagged a 2 person booth in the 2nd room. As time progressed the place filled up, to the point of there were no more tables for all the people coming in. They have large tables where different groups can sit together and they did. Every table shared the table with at one other groups. It's just the way it is and everyone is ok with it. They have TVs up around the room. There were 4 TVs in the 2nd room showing the games. We were there on Saturday night so college football filled the screens.Ordering is via a QR code at your table. You can't switch tables once you order. One couple did and they were lucky and no one sat in there old table so they were able to pick up there food from there original table. I'm skeptical of using a QR code for ordering, but it was easy and a success. And fast. Service was really fast even with it being packed. My husband had Internet so it worked out perfect. My internet was hit and miss, so good thing we weren't relaying on me. We ordered the smash burger with fries. It's a little spicy, a good spicy. We split the first burger and then ordered a second one. Looking at the kitchen the majority of people were ordering burgers. People were ordering food around us, not just drinks. They'd order their burgers and then other dishes to split, such as onion rings and wings. I would defiantly order the smash burger again and highly reccomend it to others. The only thing that was off was the lack of napkins at our table. No one refilled the tin lately. The bathroom was clean. They had 2 unisex bathrooms. I was afraid there would be a long line since there were so many people and only 2 single stall bathrooms. To my surprise when I went there was no line. It's nice they have a green or red disk on the door so you know if it's occupied or not. And you don't have to giggle the handle to see if it's busy or not.Service was impeccable. The food came quickly and they servers were pleasant. The water jug was empty when I went to get a refill. I went back to my table and with all intentions of flagging someone down the let them know it was empty and with in two minutes it was refilled and I didn't have to say a thing. See, great service. They are really on top of it.I would definitely return and get the smash burger again and I wouldn't share mine next time. They also have a good dessert selection. I didn't see anyone ordering dessert, but I was temped to. As it turns out we went somewhere else for dessert. Ice cream Sunday, fried Oreos, and a pizzalo I'm not sure how to spell it but it's a chocolate chip cookie with ice cream on top. I belive it comes in a skillet. If you haven't checked out this place it's a must and you need to get the smash burger.

"Just posting to add photos. I haven't been back yet, although I plan to, either before or after a concert at The Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse or a play at Berkeley Repertory Theater, which may happen in January."
"My friends and I came here to attend a friend's band's concert. Hubby dropped my friend and I off and another couple of friends drove but had a hard time finding parking on a Friday night so they parked in a lot. This is a humongous place with two big rooms and a rooftop with seating. I hadn't eaten dinner so using the QR code on the table, you can order drinks and meal and/or appetizers and pay on your phone, very convenient! They have a huge menu! We had a Diamond Dealer moscow mule, beer, cheese croquettes, fried brussel sprouts, a basket of french fries and a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich with coleslaw. The drinks and food came out pretty quickly and there is plenty of seating inside the venue. I thoroughly enjoyed the Diamond drink, along with the crispy french fries and fried chicken sandwich. Next time, I'll try one of their beers since it is a brewery!"
