The food is AMAZINg here. Try everything and it is meant to be shared. The beef curry was my favorite along with coconut juice. Service is great and you can always ask them to give you recs depending on your party size and dietary preferences. The place is very big and fits a lot of people so it's a great place for social gatherings.

I went to Burma Ruby after a long time - to meet a colleague for lunch. I have to say I am giving this a generous 4/5 stars. Ambience: this place has great ambiance and comfortable seatingFood:My colleague and invite ordered the Ruby Rainbow Salad. I don't want to judge the restaurant based on one dish but the dish was very confusing to eat. It was neither sweet nor salty and the taste was very mixed. I would say if you are going to go to the restaurant, I would read the descriptions and ask the server some pointed questions about what it is your are getting. When we went there, the server we had appeared to be new (or disinterested) but her answers to my questions on the taste were ambiguous and not helpful.

I hate giving a bad review, but this was truly an awful experience. I went here once years before, and loved it. We typically have consistently great experience at Burmese restaurants, however, this one was just awful. We came in on a weekend during lunch, and the place was pretty empty. we were seated, and everything other interaction from there happened through the QR code that you scan on the table. This meant that we literally had to flag down serving staff if we needed anything. The sodas were flat, the food was the most unseasoned and unpalatable, and the low light of the meal was the pumpkin chicken, which literally was over steamed chicken topped with canned pumpkin. I never send anything back, but we sent this one back, and all they did was add some black pepper on top. I don't think we will ever be coming back, it was really disappointing, and expensive to boot.

I ate dinner here with a friend on a weeknight, and it was moderately busy but not full. For appetizers, we shared the tea leaf salad and northern fried tofu. For the salad, our server brought it with the ingredients still separated and mixed it in front of us. The tofu was crispy and came with a savory and slightly sweet dipping sauce.I ordered a beef kebat and my friend got the Burmese eggplant curry. My dish was beautifully stir-fried with a good mix of meat and veggies (tomatoes and onions). I tried some of the eggplant, which was also quite tasty.As sides, we got the coconut rice and palata, adding a nice sweet touch to the meal.
