Yummy bun bo hue! A well-known and well-liked restaurant specializing in bun bo hue. It's nearly my version of a perfect bowl except that it's getting to be quite pricey... but what isn't?Parking lot does fill up sometimes and there can be a bit of a wait on weekends (but usually no longer than 20-30 minutes).

Dined in for lunch on 2/14/25.It was only a third full since it was in the late afternoon.I ordered the Bun Bo Hue large with more tendon and no pork paste. I am glad you can customize some of your bun bo hue if you wanted. The Bun Bo Hue tasted pretty normal to me. The flavors were good and I liked how they gave us a lot of meat which was nice. Overall, I would come back again for the Bun Bo Hue!

This place is our go-to for pho and BBH. My wife LOVES BBH and this has been the place she always picks. Pho broth is amazing. The food comes out fast and hot. This place is busy, but extremely efficient. People come in and go out. There's always available tables and parking spots. Pizzle is on the menu. I ordered it without knowing what it is. Google first before ordering something you don't know. I'm down to try new things (once).

The BBH soup quality dropped a lot compared to my last visit. It's not longer my no1 for BBH. The soup was kind of meh, not rich with the flavor anymore. We also tried their pho Bo, it's just average. Given that their business is still good, they insisted debit card or cash payments. I won't be back for BBH.

One of my favorite places in San Jose for bun bo hue! The broth was so delicious. I love how it's spicy and flavorful but not superrrr spicy. The restaurant also gave us a small plate with shrimp paste and crispy chili peppers and they make the broth taste even better! My friend and I also ordered 1 cha lua and it was so good after putting it in the broth before we eat it.We also got our food very fast!

THE BEST bun bo hue spot by far, and I've tried dozens since BBH is my favorite food. I've been going here since I was 8 years old, and they have never disappointed me! The service is also great.

I ordered the #1 Bun Bo Hue, and it came out in about 5 minutes. I've been here a few times over the past decade. Their broth can vary slightly from time to time, but overall, I think this is one of the best spots in the Bay Area for Bun Bo Hue. While the prices have gone up over the years, the portion sizes are still massive and packed with meat. The soup had a light lemongrass flavor, it wasn't too spicy or salty. The meat was good, but this time around some of them weren't as tender as I expected it to be. They also provide a side of fresh veggies, shrimp paste, and sate (Vietnamese chili sauce). I added all the veggies to my soup while it was hot to soften them slightly. For a more savory flavor, I added a bit more shrimp paste. Just be careful not to add too much, as it can overpower the dish. Season to taste, add a bit and give it time for the flavors to kick in before adding more if needed. The same for the sate, I added more to give my soup an extra kick of spiciness.

Just updating because we came back recently, and the Bun Bo Hue was still the greatest of all time! It seems like there is a different flavor or texture to enjoy with each bite. Now, the challenge is to get my kids to try it...

The OG spot for bun bo hue! I've pretty much grown up eating here. For restaurant BBH, their broth outcompetes many other spots although their meat was really tough to chew. I alternate between getting BBH here or at Hue.BUN BO HUE DAC BIET: 4.25/5 ($16.95 - Small)+ MUST try! This is what BBH An nam is known for+ Broth is well balanced savoriness, sweetness, and lemongrass. I love adding sate for a spicy kick+ Only issue I have is the meat was really overcooked and not tender

Was introduced to this by my Vietnamese friend. Apparently when you come to this restaurant, don't order the regular Pho... order the Bun Bo! A nice option to Pho. The noodles are too weird and thick, the broth is rich and savory. The restaurant ambience is pretty basic, comparable to any other Vietnamese, casual dining.Hmmm... Next time should I try the Ox Penis??? I feel like if I'm a true foodie this is a bucket list item!
