We took our toddler for brunch for our first visit to Brezo and we were so satisfied! We sat in the little patio area and got a side of cheesy polenta (mmmm so good) and a fried egg for the kiddo, and the fried chicken sandwich and chorizo egg torta. Everything was so delicious. The waitstaff were friendly and very sweet with our kid. The outdoor seating was nice on a sunny morning, and we're looking forward to coming back for the dinner menu in future.

Brezo is a welcome addition to the lower Solano neighborhood. They have a brunch menu that is only available on weekends, but their lunch menu also includes some brunch-like menu items. For a weekday lunch, I ordered the steak and eggs salad which was quite delicious, and the serving was quite large. When I went for lunch on a Thursday afternoon, it was relatively quiet and easy to get a table.

My family and I stumbled upon Brezo a while back on a Saturday morning. We were happy to find 2 sections of outside seating and fairly easy parking on the street. We were seated outside swiftly after staff put tables together for us. There were some flies around doggie water bowls in the corner which they said they would clean up but may have forgotten as the morning got busy fast. Our experience started off so wonderful but went down hill right after seating was completed. As we settled in and reviewed the menu, a different staff member came to take our drink orders. We ordered two lattes and some other various drinks. The drinks took forever. One of the lattes was a steamed cup of milk that they forgot to put the espresso in ... In the meantime, some other folks were seated near us. They had a different staff member helping them - they got their drinks, placed their food orders and received their food all while we were still waiting to get our food order in. We watched their server tend to them and had to let her know about our espresso less latte. A short time later, our server came out and poured espresso into the no longer hot cup of milk as it sat in front of my sister. She then rushed off while we begged to place our order.Eventually the server came back and we ordered our food. The lattes were cold and weird at this point. I asked her how long the food would be now that we were finally placing our order and she said they were busy and there were several orders ahead of us... which was a bummer because they were NOT busy when we arrived but some how got back burnered when others began to arrive. The server told me they were out of cheesy polenta. I ordered other things instead. A while later she kindly came to report that it turned out they had one left, I was happy to hear it and said I'd take it. When the food came, no cheesy polenta was anywhere to be found. The server didn't check on us so I couldn't inquire. AFTER we finished our meals, the server came out with the cheesy polenta. I told her that we were done eating and ready to go (we had now been there for over two hours because of the delay in getting to place and receive our orders). She frowned and insisted that I take it to go but that didn't make much sense to me so I declined. The food was ok. Ultimately, we had to go inside to hunt down the check because it never came. My sister spoke to the manager and explained what happened with the latte and why she didn't drink it. The manager said latte would be taken off of the bill - it wasn't. I had to actually send the bill back to have the latte removed and have them correct the over charge on one item because it didn't match the menu price. Finally the bill was corrected, we paid and got the check back for signature but of course, it was dropped off and the server ran off again. She failed to return my credit card and my sister had to go back inside to find it. It was eventually located, it had been left in the machine. We gathered our belongings and were leaving (SO much later than we wanted to leave), and the server ran out demanding my credit card again and saying that the transaction got cancelled when she removed the credit card. Apparently even though she had my card all that time, had merchant and customer receipt copies that showed the transaction which I signed for, she now wanted my card back again.... When I inquired about how necessary this was, if she was sure and how much longer it would take as we were late for an event - she retorted something off putting and stormed off. We stood by confused for a moment; she didn't come back so we eventually left. I really wanted to like Brezo but I'm afraid after this experience that I am very unlikely to return.

Cheerful, friendly, family-friendly neighborhood eatery, recently moved from Richmond's Craneway Pavilion. Serves Brunch weekends. Full lunch menu of salads/sammies till 2:30p, with short afternoon break, then dinner till 8:30p. Note weekday lunch menu has some limited breakfast options, as well. Parking moderately difficult; easier on side streets. Service is good. Food is good, with more protein-heavy emphasis (i.e., American style) than Lulu's across the street.Salads are large so shareable if desired. Spouse gives tri-tip sandwich 4.5 stars, saying it's one of the best versions he's gotten from any restaurant in years.

Not bad but just really expensive food and not worth the price I feel like. It was $100 for dinner for Two. Service was fast and everything was quick. Ambiance was fine. Just was totally empty... we were the only people in the place. Salad was really good. Pot roast was decent. I don't think I would go back. It was fine.. I just think I would spend my money elsewhere if I'm dropping that much on a dinner.

Hella good! Service was delightful. Great place for families, friends catching up and they have sangria. Outside parklet and mimosas. But the food was outstanding, I can't wait to go back.

I had quite happily tried the original location in Port Richmond and was saddened when it closed. My spirits were buoyed when I saw Brezo reopen in the former Rendez-vous Cafe which itself also sadly closed. Man, It's hard to keep track of the changing food scene around these parts, but I reassured Jamie W. that Brezo made solid New American fare, and I was right. We decided to split three items that tickled our palates. First up was the $18 Brezo Burger, a juicy, medium rare Niman Ranch patty on a soft challah bun and topped with cheddar, grilled red onions, bacon, pickled jalapeños, tomato, lettuce, and chipotle aioli. It came with an $8 side of crispy Truffle Fries nicely seasoned with truffle oil and Parmesan cheese (photo: https://yelp.to/X3Puk7VxTR).Quite satisfying but wait, there was our third dish, the $15 Calico Salad, a full platter of romaine, jack, tomato, red onion, avocado, tortilla strips, and black beans drizzled with chile-lime dressing (photo: https://yelp.to/Mmm7Btvspz). It was a refreshing contrast with the burger and went particularly well with the complimentary grilled baguette slices with butter (photo: https://yelp.to/qaXq2qYKoY). Brezo is back!FOOD - 4 stars...the burger, fries, and salad combo worked just fine hereAMBIANCE - 4 stars...still looks like Rendez-vous but it works SERVICE - 3.5 stars...efficientTOTAL - 4 stars...Brezo made the move from Port Richmond to Albany just fineRELATED - Exploring Albany? Moved.... Kicked out?? from Assemble in pt Richmond a while ago. Heather and Hector revive the ol favs in this prime spot on Solano Ave, in Albany. While we gain a Pickelball club at Assemble, we are also able to continue to enjoy the great menu, not too far from the cribbage! Apparently Heather earned her chops here when it was Rendezvous Cafe, a a long standing iconic location. Well if you loved em when downtown Point Richmond... then post Covid moved into Assemble, on the water front steps from the Bay Ferry terminal and next to Rosie The Riveter National museum, then you will love this location as they have brought back the classsics for lunch and dinner. The only place I will forgo the diet as their blue berry pancakes are to DIE for, we had to drop in and support our local peeps in the new digs. I've never been here before so not sure what's different but who cares as long as the food is as we remember. And yes sir it is! Some staff also from the other local are in da house as well. Totally warm and intimate inside and a few tables outside on iconic Solano ave! Friendly for couples, families alike! Warm convivial and absolutely packed on an overcast Saturday late morning- early afternoon between atmospheric rivers! It's a bummer cause I will have to ride my bike a bit further to imbibe, which probably is a good thing for my waistline: used to be able to get there in 2 minutes now more like 15 but either way, they provide an excellent breakfast and dinner menu. I don't think they needed to even invest in menus and of course we know it by heart. These two know how to throw down in the cozinha! Such an iconic selection with massive portions! Hopefully now more folks who don't venture to the Point will soon learn this IS the spot to chill and chow down. Based on how packed it was... the words out! Congratulations guys! We appreciate your dedication to the diners who love you and are happy to continue to enjoy and delight in the Marina bay Albany area! I'll be back for my Brezo Tee which I plan to proudly wear claiming we knew y'all "from back in the day!"Let me know Heather when I can pick it up! May have to also get those Chiliques for the trouble!
