wide variety of korean dishes at a good quality! what makes this spot special is the brown rice options!! i absolutely love the amount of customization the different dishes have here.there is plenty of street parking and seating inside this restaurant. i saw many families here, and i think it is the perfect environment for a group outing. there is a huge menu with many options ranging from a small snack to filling meal.rose tteokboki - so creamy, and there is a lot of bacon and sausage in here! the rice cakes are so soft and chewy, and they're bathed in a yummy milky and mild saucebibimbap hot stone - we got this with bulgogi and you really can't go wrong with it. there's a good amount of toppings and add the gochujang sauce to your heart's desirebeef short rib - i'm surprised how flavorful the galbi was!! it went so well with the other dishes we got.i also loved the banchan here!! i've never had a mini chili tofu side dish anywhere else. i hope to be back here soon!

I love love loved this place.I went a few years ago and they didn't have many gluten-free options, but they have totally changed that. I ordered the Bibimbap with salmon. Since it was cold outside, I asked for it hot, and I loved it, so many vegetables, lots of flavor, and they actually have gluten-free soy sauce. The trouble with many places is that when they say they have gluten-free options, they take away the sauce and all of the flavor. Here this was not the case at Bowl'd. I loved how the rice was crispy in the bottom of the bowl and the different textures and flavors blended together for one yummy dish. I would definitely go back.My Non-gluten-free family got the chicken barbecue and shared it and both really enjoyed their meal. They've been here many times and always get the same thing because they love it and finally brought me with them.I can't wait to go back. There were other options for gluten-free but right now I am remembering my dish and want to get it again. The restaurant was quite busy, atmosphere was upbeat and fun and the service was good. No complaints!

Bowl'd is one of our go-to spots for family dinners in Albany. The Bibimbap is delicious with generous portions, and the purple rice is a nice touch. We also enjoy the variety of banchan that come with each meal. I do miss the myeolchi they used to serve - they were my favorite, and I hope they bring them back. I tried one of their soups once, and it was delicious, but enough to feed four at least. It is usually pretty full with families and the servers are tolerant of kids being kids. They switched the decor up couple of times my favorite was the giant utensils they had on the wall, but that was several years ago. They do use a lot of plastic packaging, which I wish they'd reduce. But overall, the food is great, and we're happy to keep coming back. Good takeout too.

Today we had planned to have lunch at Rose Pizzeria, but the weather was going to be overcast and perhaps even rainy. It had rained at Nina's house so she was concerned about the weather and texted me. I had made a reservation for 12:15-12:30 so I canceled it and we decided instead to meet at Bowl'd. I found parking right in front and Nina arrived right after me.We were seated and looked at the menus. I knew I wanted the Galbi Tang, w/ mixed grains to add to it. I hadn't remembered that was an option. Nina wanted the Dolsot Bibimbop, so that's what she ordered. We had water to drink because they had no tea today for some reason. We were brought 6 banchan which we pretty much finished, between eating it and adding it to our dishes, aside from the kimchi tofu, which is my least favorite. Nina doesn't eat kimchi at all.Nina's dish came first and then mine. It was huge, much larger than I remembered it, although rereading my last review I see I brought some home for dinner then too. I ate as much as I wanted and then took the rest of it home to have for dinner tonight. Our server kindly packed it up for me. You can see from the photos how immense it was. When I used the restroom I was reminded of the sign they have there, which I had loved last time. The next time I went I brought my phone so I could take its picture, which you can also see.

Go to spot in Albany for Korean food! Love their glazed potatoes, must try! Have come many times and it doesn't disappoint. Located on the busy Solano there's limited street parking, but there's a Safeway nearby you can park at. The staff greets you when entering and guides you to a table. There's a good amount of space around the restaurant mainly tables of 2 or 4.We ordered the seafood pancake and it was nicely cut into pieces. The edges were perfectly crispy and center more chewy. The seafood was tasty and all blends well. There could have been a bit more seafood but still very good. The bulgogi comes with side dishes and choice of mixed or white rice. I always get the purple mixed rice. It was super tender, juicy, and flavorful. Decent portion but enough shared for 2. I always get an order of the glazed potatoes so delicious! Don't see it at other places either. It's a little crispy on the outside with a sweet glaze. The price is worth the taste. Have tried many of their dishes and enjoy them. Staff are friendly and attentive.

Very pleased with this spot for some high quality and comforting Korean food! I miss SoCal Korean food, and I think this location hits it spot-on with affordable prices. Had dinner here with a friend on a cold weeknight. We were surprised at how crowded it was, but the wait was not too long. We ordered the tofu stews and spicy ramen (very delicious and flavorful). Highly recommend the freshly fried soy-glazed potatoes. They are WORTH IT. Friendly service and lovely welcoming interior. I'll be back!

Loved it here. Server was nice and helpful even though he was the only one in. They have a wide menu - soft tofu soup, bbq, stews and soups, bibimbop, kimbop, fried chicken, pancakes, ramen, fried rice, japchae, a lunchbox special M-F 10-3 and happy 'hour' also at the same time. Beer, sake, soju and other NA drinks. Food came out sizzling hot (as it should) and was delicious! We got soft tofu soup, bibimbop w/pork belly and bbq beef short ribs. Flavorful and filling especially with the 8(I think) ban chan. The least flavor was the pork belly which was surprising but the ribs were yummy! That was enough food for 3 of us. Parking was surprisingly easy for a Saturday afternoon and no wait to get in. Coming back soon!
