Coming back to remind you all that Belotti is amazing! One of the best Italian spots aroond Oakland.New things I tried: Got the stuffed spaghetti and the texture / nuttiness with the cheese is to die for. Aperol sprits was new for me too, and bartender makes it strong!! Living lettuce salad's pine nuts are so creamy.. I got to really appreciate it on my second try. Really has to be most memorable salad I've had from a restaurant.

My mom has raved about Belotti for years and I finally had the chance to go there with my mom's family for dinner on 2/22/2025. We made a reservation in advance so we were seated quickly when we arrived. Note that there's a 1.5 hour time limit. We started off with some salads. One was the lattuga though I can't remember the other one. For my main dish, I had tagliolini burro e acciughe. The sauce was a bit rich but I took the rest home for leftovers. It tasted even better the next day! I also took home my aunt's spaghetti al pomodoro, which I like a lot and would get next time. In addition to our main dishes, we shared Brussels sprouts and greens. I had a glass of moscato, which perfectly fit the bill when I asked our waitress for a sweet wine recommendation. For dessert we shared the budino (?) and affogato. Our waitress was friendly and helpful with recommendations. We didn't have to wait too long for our food to arrive. After enjoying the delicious food Belotti had to offer, I understand why my mom is a fan. Hope to return soon!

Make a reservation (it's a very petite dining room), then run to Belotti! We got very, very lucky walking in last Wednesday in the middle of the afternoon. Thanks to the Yelpers who gave this lovely ristorante such love and great ratings. We were celebrating our sister-in-law's new citizenship, having come from the ceremony in downtown Oakland. This wasn't far and seems especially appealing.I mentioned to our server (who was a dream!) what we were there to celebrate and she gave my SIL a big hug when she came back to the table from the restroom. Such a friendly and lovely way to start our meal. She made recommendations on beverages, and answered any questions we had about the food options.Starting with the Americana salad with honey cinnamon dressing to share, we were off on our culinary adventure. Be sure to check out the photo of this Insta-worthy dish. Yes, Yelp-worthy, obvi! There was enough texture, crunch, and flavor to awake our tastebuds, and it was a visual delight, too.We all ordered different pasta dishes. It's very evident that they make the pasta by hand onsite. Yum! We all took turns sampling a bite from each other's dishes. It was truly hard to say whose was better, but I loved the Paparadelle Funghi that I ordered. Our niece went for the gnocchi, which was a fine selection. Dear Hubby chose Casoncelli Bergamaschi, which I'd never seen on a menu before. What a taste treat of exciting flavors. Finally, SIL may have picked the winner of the table - Risotto Alla Milanese Con Ossobuco. The ossobuco was incredibly tender and savory beyond belief. What an amazing dining experience. It felt like being in Italy with the tiny dining room, the high ceilings, the continental flair, and the warmth of the occasion. Our server made it very special by taking great care of us. Our water glasses were kept full, along with the refreshing of the simply tasty Italian bread for the table. As a big finish, SIL was treated to the panna cotta desert in recognition of her big day. Both our niece and I have to avoid dairy, so we each ordered the non-dairy coconut sorbet. Outstanding texture and taste! We kept talking about our wonderful meal experience the rest of the evening. It was the best dining adventure that DH and I had enjoyed in a very long time. My SIL told my brother about it, who was out of town and missed the event. She's going to take him there for a date night. Wish we lived closer, as we'd do the same often for our date night spot!

The first time I tried to come here was on a Tuesday night at around 6:00 pm. We tried to get a table for four and they told us it was almost a two hour wait! We ended up going somewhere else but lesson learned - make a reservation.A few weeks later I finally got to try Belotti and it 100% did not disappoint! The food was amazing and our server was great. We ordered four pastas and the beef tartare. Everything tasted so good, but my favorite pasta was definitely the mushroom one. All the pastas are also made in house so they were cooked to perfection. One of our dishes was unfortunately a bit on the salty side, but the chef gladly took it back and offered us free desserts to compensate which was incredibly nice of them. I dream of the next time I can come back and order the beef tartare. The restaurant is pretty small. They do have an outdoor seating area which is on the sidewalk around the corner, but definitely make a reservation if you can because they do fill up.I guarantee you I will be back here to try everything else on the menu!

One of my favorite spots in Berkeley, whether it's a casual evening or a special occasion. The restaurant has a charming, understated vibe with a cozy dining room and a small patio area. Since seating is limited, I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. The food here is absolutely delicious, featuring a selection of northern Italian cuisine. The pasta is fresh, light, and perfectly prepared. Every dish is beautifully presented and well-balanced in flavor. The service is consistently excellent, and the portion sizes are just right.Casoncelli bergamaschi is one of my personal favorites. I almost don't want to share this place because it's just that good.

Nada at the bar was amazing! We had the agnolotti, the tagliatelle, and the lattuga. She was the kindest and most attentive server. We had the montepulciano wine and ended with the panna cotta and biscotti to finish. Such a wonderful lunch date with my girlfriend at the bar. Thank you Nada!

My wife and I had an amazing dinner last night. The pasta serving size was small but tasty. Left the dinner very satisfied. At this stage in life prefer small portions with amazing flavors. This meal did not disappoint. Our server also the bartender was excellent. Made us feel welcome and was ready to answer any questions. My water glass was always kept full. Much appreciated as I enjoy lots of water and it was so nice not to have to ask even once. Fun to look over and see how hard the staff in the kitchen was working. Next time we will try the outdoor dining option.

Belotti is one of my favorite restaurants in the area! The service provided at Belotti is always exceptional, and the restaurant provides a romantic and intimate atmosphere for dinner.I would 100% recommend ordering the "Anatra" or the seared duck breast. For ~$30, it is absolutely worth every penny Easily one of the best duck that I have ever eaten in my life, and I routinely go here, just for the duck alone! We also got the "Lattuga" salad which although was very pretty, I thought was pretty mediocre. I felt that the butter lettuce was not properly strained enough, and it was still watery, which caused lemon dressing to not attach to the lettuce. The beef tartare is also decent, although is not the best that I ever had. We mainly ordered it because my friend never tried beef tartare before, and she wanted to see if it was similar to Korean yukhoe. It was definitely good, but if I was the restaurant, I would consider replacing the chips(?) with something else as breaking them was difficult, and if I were to order it during a date. I wouldn't want my date or myself to have it break and fall on my lap.My friend also ordered their most popular dish, the Agnolotti Di Lidia which is stuffed pasta with beef shank, which was exceptional as well. Rich, savory meat encapsulated in a pasta, what's not to like? I would recommend getting reservations though as they do get busy at dinner!

If you're in the mood for amazing Italian food, Belotti Ristorante E Bottega is the place to be! This cozy spot has such a welcoming vibe, and the food is absolutely top-notch. The pasta here is on another level--fresh, homemade, and cooked to perfection. Their agnolotti is a standout, and you can tell they use the finest ingredients. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel right at home, which really adds to the whole dining experience. The wine list is great, and there are some awesome Italian options to pair with your meal. It's a perfect spot for a relaxed dinner with great food and good vibes.Definitely recommend checking out Belotti next time you're craving authentic Italian food. You won't be disappointed!
