The ladies working were nice and welcoming. It honestly was such a wholesome interaction. The food was ready pretty quickly too! We ordered a pandan waffle, shrimp spring rolls, rocky philly sandwich, and a pork banh mi. They definitely didn't skimp out on the filling in the sandwiches. The interior was clean as well. There wasn't many customers given we had gone on a weekday. I also tried the mango matcha drink and it was really tasty too! It is more on the milkier/creamier side, and less tea based though. It was still really good nevertheless. There were actual mango chunks at the bottom!Overall -- reasonable price point + yummy food + great service!

The 5 stars is for the views from their main window area: Banme & Hoagie is one of the best places in downtown to meet someone on a rainy and windy day, because you can eat next to the main windows here and see everyone approaching on the outside street in both directions. And be both dry and warm while waiting for someone on a stormy winter day.And there are 4 levels of free parking across the street for the first 90 minutes at the grey and blue garage.The old generic cheesesteak menu has been expanded and now leads-off on nonalcoholic drinks and desserts.

The only time I eat here is when I'm in this area for Fanime convention. This Cheese Steak Shop is nearby and usually has seats so our group would stop by for lunch.The cheese steaks here are very subpar. They're fine when everything closer to the convention is pricier and have longer wait.The cheese they use reminds me of cheese wiz and the ribeye quality is very average. The cheese wiz flavor is overpowering so if you can get provolone instead, I would definitely recommend that.It's food and I got full.

Delicious sandwich and boba! It's close to SJSU and there are 2 doors in the front that lead to the same store. There's a decent amount of seats with a clean minimalist design. Service was straightforward and staff were friendly. There's a self kiosk but the student discount only applies if you order through the front. I ordered a kogi beef sandwich and mango passionfruit tango with boba. The kogi beef was filled with mushrooms, onion, and beef with cheese on top. It was delicious and served warm. The mango passionfruit tango was solid and refreshing. Boba was chewy and there were passionfruit seeds in it.

Banmie is conveniently located near SJSU and is a great place for a quick bite or a snack/drink. I stopped by on a weekend with my family and there was plenty of parking in front of the shop. We ordered two cheesesteaks, a banh mi, and three drinks. My strawberry lover drink was made with fresh strawberries and not the syrupy stuff. It was very refreshing! All the food was made so well and so tasty! Not greasy and not salty. Just the right amount of seasoning. There's plenty of tables inside and a few outdoors too. Customer service was super friendly as well. Where else can you get a boba drink with a cheesesteak? Highly recommend checking this place out!

This was my first time trying it! I heard they are now under new management, which is why there are new menu items. My favorite has to be the kolgi steak sandwich--so good, with perfect tenderness and cheesiness! The spring rolls are a refreshing addition, and I love eating them with peanut sauce, so it was nice to see that on the menu. I also noticed they serve banh mi, which I definitely need to try next time. I went around 11, and it wasn't too busy, so I might try to do some work there next time!- Also don't forget to reduce sweetness for drinks!!

Cute study spot with good food and drink options, super close to SJSU campus. Inside was clean with cozy ambiance. Would recommend the spring rolls as they were refreshing. Owner and staff are super sweet and the portions are really great for the price! Would bring friends here or stop by for a quick snack again

I love coming to this place whenever I visit San Jose. The steak sandwich (particularly the Rocky Philly with provolone cheese) is the best! I was a little upset they replaced steak fries with regular fries (but they're still good). As long as they keep the steak sandwiches and maybe bring back the "Chicago hoagie" it's still a must go to place.
