For the food service, we came at the traffic hour, so probably we understood that it would take more time to finish. Definitely can be understood as well, cuz if u came in weekends, u could c how busy it is.For the customer service, i feel very sorry for other people who couldnt have a good experience here becuz for my experience, i brought my frds here several times. Most of them are foreigners as Burmese, Thai, or Mex. And they were all fine w the service and gave complitment. I highly recommended you guys as do not be shy to ask for service when u saw the store are busy!! If you needed fixing the foods, heating up, etc jus give them a request, i think they totally get it for you guys.

The service here was great! We were seated right away, and our server recommended some of their top sellers, which we decided to try. Everything was great, except for the Bun Bo Hue soup--it was a little too sweet for my taste, but that's just a personal preference. On the other hand, the Banh Cuon was fantastic! It had that perfect chewy texture that made it really enjoyable. The ambiance really takes you back to Vietnam, with that authentic vibe that makes the experience even better.

2/1/2025Our family from SF was excited to try this restaurant after seeing their enticing photos of Hue appetizers pictured in front of the establishment. We came for lunch - a group of nine, looking forward to a delightful family meal. It took them some time to put together 2 tables for us to get seated for this NY weekend. We decided to order a variety of appetizers to sample.Clean your utensils - they have brown watermark stains on them. :OIce water has a minty taste so beware. We ordered:- (3) Nuoc Mia (sugarcane beverages)- (3) Banh beo tren (which never arrived; we had to request it to-go when settling the bill since the kitchen was already working on it)- (3) Banh it ram (just okay)- (3) Banh la nam (very dry)- 1 Mi Quang, 4 Bun Bo Hue, 1 Bun Thit Nuong- (2) Banh Cuon Combo Platter to-go for $29.99 (serves 2-3)The appetizers were served inconsistently, arriving (no kidding) one at a time. The first dish was the Banh la nam with 3 pieces (we ordered 3) which allowed only part of our group to start eating while the other six waited for the other dishes to come. The noodle bowls also came out individually, and the Banh it ram followed the same pattern. The Mi Quang noodles fell apart easily, and the Bun Bo Hue was disappointingly bland, lacking flavor, seasoning, pork blood, and spice. Despite the condiments at the table, it remained underwhelming even after adding two spoonfuls. My cousin found the Bun Thit Nuong to be ok as it's a simple safe bet. After the 2 appetizers arrived and most of the bowls, in the end we werw still waiting for two bowls--one Bun Bo Hue and one Bun Thit Nuong--as well as the three Banh beo appetizers. When we tried to cancel these items because most of the table had finished eating, the staff informed us it wasn't possible, stating the kitchen was already preparing them and apologized. Eventually, we asked them to pack the Banh beo to-go since we couldn't cancel. The kitchen packed us 1 order of cha oc (3 pieces) as an apology for not bringing our apps out timely. The (3) sugarcane drinks tasted extremely OFF and did not have any fresh sugarcane flavor; none of the kids wanted to drink them. When my cousin inquired what they served us to the cashier, the cashier open the cup, tasted thebeverage and agreed it was bad, resulting in a refund for the three beverages. The decor was minimal, and the service left much to be desired. Overall, nothing particularly stood out, and unfortunately, we won't be returning. There are plenty of other excellent options in the area that are more deserving of our time.

Went here with 3 others during LNY in the plaza. There was a good amount of seating which was nice. Service was actually pretty fast and our server helped us pick out what to order. We started off with the Bánh Ít Ram and it was my favorite part of the meal honestly lol. We got the combo that's supposed to serve 2-4 and it filled us up pretty well. I don't think it's on the menu but the server brought it up to us and it was like $30ish I believe? I don't remember the exact price.Only complaint is my friend said the bathroom smelled so rancid and every time someone opened the door, the smell would radiate into the restaurant Good thing we were seated further away from it lol. I would've def rated lower if I had to experience it, but thank god I didn't.

Came here with a large party and it was really good! It's located inside a Vietnamese mall so there's plenty of parking in their large lot. Best items were definitely the large platter of rice rolls to share and the beef rice rolls were the star of the show. The bun Bo hue was also decent, but I think the broth could've been more intense in flavor. Service was accommodating for our large party and quick with grabbing extra bowls and utensils when we asked. I would definitely come back for the rice rolls in particular, and everything was set at a really affordable price.

Banh cuon here is just ok, I actually preferred the bun bo hue more. There are better spots for banh cuon to order from also with tastier nuoc mam. It was salty and a bit fishy tasting here. BUN BO HUE DAC BIET: 3.75/5 ($15.99)+ Decent BBH! Broth hit all the flavors from savory, sweet, and sourness from lemongrass+ I was pretty satisfied, I've had better but also had way worse BANH CUON THAP CAM "COMBO": 2.5/5 ($15.75)+ Fillings were the best part of the banh cuon, and even then it lacked some flavor + Wrapping of the banh cuon felt rubbery and had a weird chew. It didn't taste freshly made+ Shrimp fritter tasted way too floury when biting. The cha lua was good but nothing great

Located in the Grand Century Shopping Mall, Banh Cuon Hong Hanh specializes in the cuisine of Hue in Central Vietnam with a casual, no-frills atmosphere. We started with the Banh Da Xuc Hen, a plate of spiced baby clams with a huge black sesame rice cracker on the side. While tasty enough, the clams were a bit muddled in flavor, and I've definitely had a better version of this dish. The thing I came to try, however, was their namesake Banh Cuon, or rice crepe rolls. The combination plate came with two types--one filled with powdered dried shrimp, and another with minced pork, radish, and woodear mushrooms. At each table was a jug of watered-down sweet fish sauce for dipping and raw chopped chilies for spice. My favorite part of the Banh Cuon was the slithery, chewy texture of the rice flour sheets, and the accompaniments included three types of Vietnamese pork sausage, bean sprouts, cilantro, a fried pork/shrimp roll, and a fried shrimp cracker. While decent, the food here was definitely not the freshest or of the highest quality, leaving something to be desired.

honestly not the best restaurant I had (not the worst either). To begin with the staff was not attentive at all aside from seating us. Did not feel like I had a friendly welcome at all more of a "order and eat up fast" type of deal. After we ordered, we didn't receive our drink until half way through our meal and we had to remind the staff that we never got it. Food wise it was alright. Definitely had better. The bun Bo hue was salty and had weird hints of sweetness? Mostly salty and the broth felt oily. The noodles were very overcooked, too soft with no snappiness to it. If you like your noodles that well done it'll be okay for you but the broth is not saving the dish. The banh nam la fell apart so fast. Very mushy and did not hold together at all. Flavor was aight nothing special. There could have been more meat and a bit thicker paste to actually hold together. Or a shorter steam time. The banh cuon again was okay. It was a bit sticky. The nem chua was not sour at all nor did it have the typical peppercorn, garlic, and pepper/basil. Just tasted like a block of meat. The sweet potato was so dry when we bit into it, the inside was not soft with potato. We were met with just fried dough. The egg roll was your typical eggroll. It would be questionable if they messed it up. We went when it wasn't even busy. It was us and another table. Not sure why or how they even forgot our drink. They didn't even bother to check up on us until we finished everything. Overall, there are much better restaurants around Grand Century that is more worth your money and time. Not coming back again unfortunately

Final Thoughts:- With service included: 3.43/5- Without service included: 4.21/5As it stands, the highest I can give them is a 3 star. Because I really want to give this place a fair chance, I gave two ratings though. One of the owners/supervisors/managers/someone genuinely apologized for the service and the little kinks. They mentioned that they've only been open for about x2 months now and they are very aware that some aspects warrant improvements. With that said, I would give this place a soft 4 star otherwise.Food:Bánh Cuốn Combo: 4.1/5How anyone found out about this item - No clue, because it's not listed on the menu. It's available though. That aside, definitely recommended if you want variety and/or if you're eating with a larger group. Rice paper rolls is something I get really tired of if I consume it too much because it's just starch and flour. I appreciate the combo because you get different fillings in each.Favorite and least favorite rolls:Personal favorite was the bánh cuốn nhân thịt nướng (grilled pork filling) and bánh cuốn trứng cuốn thịt (scrambled egg and ground pork). The grilled pork has a nice flavor and is very tender. Well seasoned. I enjoyed the lettuce as it adds a texture component and a freshness to it. For the scrambled egg and grilled pork, I enjoyed the added component of the egg. Again, it just gives a different texture and flavor to the rice rolls, which makes it more enjoyable. My least favorite of the six would be the poached egg. Something about the runny egg yolk was just too rich for me, which made the rice paper less desirable to eat. Nothing significant to note on the other rice paper rolls. They are the typical rice paper rolls you would think of.Rice Paper Roll Texture:There is a bite and there is some chew. Regarding the chew, I would have preferred a more chewy and bouncy rice paper roll. It breaks pretty easily versus having some pull and elasticity to it. Misc: Veggies, pork roll, fritter, eggroll, fermented pork, and pickled veggies For the vegetables, they seem to have run the bean sprouts over hot water, so the texture is more undesirable for me. I like the freshness and crisp of fresh ones. Only 6 pieces of pork roll pieces are given, which is quite the concern for me because this plate has a lot of rice rolls. I understand that other items are given like the fritter and fermented pork, however, this ratio feels off balance. The eggroll was quite good. Optimal amount of meat and shrimp throughout and seasoning was good. Bánh Bèo Chén: 4.0/5These were quite good. The ratio of topping to dough felt optimal. There was nice flavor from the dried minced shrimp and fried onions. Lovely textures in this dish. The fish sauce finished this off nicely. For the dough itself, it's quite soft and only has a bite. Definitely would have preferred it with some more chew.---------Price: FairFor a large plate like that, it was $29.99. I believe this plate adds up to about 2 smaller plates. Pricing seems fair and these prices look quite average for what is given. For the smaller plates, the average pricing is around $14 to $16 depending on what you get. Regarding drinks, average price is about $6 with a few outliers in between.Service: Suboptimal at this timeWe went on a Sunday afternoon. Not ideal to go during rush hours (ever), but that is what happened. No greeting to anyone and that's probably related to them being busy. There was a "waiting list", which was just our names written on a tiny notepad on the side of the door. Not very noticeable at all. After about 20 minutes, we were given a table. Our order was taken pretty quickly, but it took another 15 minutes to get our smaller dish and another 20 to 30 minutes to get the main dish. Definitely not the ideal waiting time because it was already fairly late into the afternoon by this point. One of the waitresses walked by our table x2 times and just said our table number without context. Perhaps this was a communication to the back kitchen as to which tables didn't have their food yet. Another note was that we were almost given someone else's food. It was an accident and the correct table was given their food afterwards, but definitely some miscommunication happening. Again, we were given a pretty sincere apology, so I hope there are improvements. Ambiance: TypicalThis place is your typical Vietnamese restaurant really. Reminds me of some larger restaurants in Vietnam. Nothing too significant. There's a fair amount of tables here. Volume of everyone talking was pretty similar to other places that I've been to.Location/Parking: FairThis place is located inside of Grand Century. Right at the corner in between Saigon Kitchen and the food court. Seems like an optimal location because we all walk by it. Parking, there won't be an issue on typical, normal days. During the Lunar New Years time or during rush hours, however, you will have to make a few rounds or just be very lucky to get a spot.
