Came with a party of 3 before lunch rush and there was plenty of seating. Parking on the other hand gets pretty packed so come early especially on the weekends. I ordered the number 1 which had fish cakes and pork. The spice level was a mild medium for the soup and the noodles were the perfect texture. Sometimes banh canh is a hit or miss for me because I'm not a big seafood person but I really liked it here! My friend let us try her coconut curry broth with fishcakes and that was also really good and had a sweetness. My partner ordered the Number 2 which is a clear soup option with pork blood. The broth reminded me of the side soup you would get with com tam, very rich and flavorful. I probably would get his next time or number 10! Also don't forget to get the chinese donuts on the side :3

Visited Bánh Canh 3 Miền for a comforting dinner, and we ordered #4 (Bánh Canh Tôm Cua - Crab and Shrimp Noodle Soup) and #5 (Bánh Canh Đặc Biệt - Special Noodle Soup). This spot specializes in the hearty and flavorful Vietnamese bánh canh, and it definitely hit the mark in terms of authenticity and portion size. The Food: - Bánh Canh Tôm Cua (#4): This dish featured thick, chewy tapioca noodles swimming in a rich, orange-red broth packed with flavor. The crab and shrimp portions were generous, and the crispy shallots and green onions added a nice texture contrast. A squeeze of lemon made the broth pop even more. - Bánh Canh Đặc Biệt (#5): The "special" noodle soup was a more elevated version, with additional toppings like pork and a medley of seafood. The broth was equally flavorful, and the mix of proteins made every bite exciting. Definitely a hearty option if you're really hungry.Ambiance: The restaurant had a cozy, family-run vibe. It's a casual setting with some homey decorations, but don't expect anything too fancy. The "CLOSED" sign in the background might be a little confusing, but it's part of the charm.Service: The staff was friendly and attentive. Even though we arrived later in the evening, we were served promptly and with care. Water and utensils were provided quickly, and the table setting was clean and inviting.Final Thoughts: If you're craving authentic Vietnamese bánh canh, this is the place to go. The portions were huge, the flavors were bold, and it's priced fairly for the quality of the meal. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and want a satisfying bowl of noodles. Pro Tip: Bring an appetite--these bowls are filling! Also cash only!

This is a small restaurant across the street from the bustling Grand Century/Viet Town Plaza. Gives off a homey vibes the minute you walk in.I was feeling a little under the weather so I wanted a hot bowl of noodle soup and this place delivered. I ordered their banh canh dac biet (combo banh canh) and it came out in less than 5 mins. I saw a lot of people getting the Chinese donuts with it so I did too. I've had Chinese donuts before but this was my first time eating it together with the soup. By itself, the donut was really dense, almost felt like it's been sitting for a while. But with the soup, omg it was great!! I fell in love with the donut dipped in soup to soak up all the flavor of the broth. The broth! This was definitely one of the better places I've had banh canh at. The broth was amazing. Flavorful and plenty of meat to go around. Love the additional chili in fish sauce on the side. The only odd thing was the noodle had a strange after taste, almost like it was made with old oil and left a weird taste.

Solid choices for Banh canh. I was craving it tor the past week and it hit the spot!My table ordered #1, #3, and a few #5I had a small bite of #1 and it was a clean pork broth, well flavored with the chili and lemon.I got #5 because I love crab and shrimp. A little disappointed that there was only 1 shrimp, but loved the amount of pork and crab that was given. The flavor was solid after adding the chili and lemon.I would gave liked it better if temp was hotter-- it was just warm. Also got a side of Chinese donut. Can never go wrong with Chinese donut...The table also got orders of pennywort juice, which I took a sip of... it tasted.... healthy... not my cup of juice.BF ordered some viet iced coffee... it was STRONG. Had to wait for the ice to melt to dilute it enough to stand drinking. If you're looking for some coffee to kick your butt into gear, it's this.Restaurant was small, but they had some tables that fit 4 people lined against the walls and 2 larger tables in the center. It fit our party of 6 perfectly fine.

I ordered the banh canh dac biet. The broth was very flavorful, thick and rich. They load up on the toppings. There were lots of crab meat in the soup. I was impressed by the amount. Get a side of fried dumpling to dip in the soup. Service was mediocre. It took them a while to take our order as it was pretty busy. Definitely would be back for another bowl of the banh canh.

I've been looking for a good place for banh canh cua closer to me so that I don't have to brave the drive to My Canh in SF. Banh Canh 3 Mien certainly isn't the same, but it hits the spot.Rating Breakdown:2/2 Stars for Taste --When the waitress came by to take our order, I told her we were struggling to decide whether to get the same thing (banh canh cua dac biet, #5) or to try different things to split. She gave me a look like it's a no-brainer, so we took a leap of faith and both got #5. No ragrets! The thick broth was so savory and comforting. We couldn't get enough of the tapioca noodles. They were so generous with toppings -- the slices of pork belly, chunks of pork trotter, and little fish cakes -- so good. My only small quibble is that there was some crab shell stuck in my crab meat, but you can't eat sesame pancake without dropping sesame, am I right? The soup came with little chilies in fish sauce for dipping...the chilis are no joke, proceed with caution! 1/1 Stars for Value --Generous portions of crab noodle soup for less than $20pp? A steal! We didn't bother with the Chinese donut because other Yelpers seemed indignant about the price tag, but we definitely didn't need it -- we left stuffed and ended up forgoing out dessert plans. 1/1 Stars for Customer Service --We went on a Sunday for dinner and there was plenty of seating. The server took our order right away and the food came out in less than 5 minutes. It helps when everyone orders the same thing, I guess! You pay at the front and they don't take card -- cash, Venmo, and Zelle accepted.Bonus star because I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area and craving that savory crab soup.

Small but nice Vietnamese "Udon" shop. Their mein noodles are Banh Canh which is really similar to the shape of Japanese Udon but it's rice flour based. The soup broths they have are amazing. The two main soup broths are the seafood one and a clear soup broth. We had the #5 which had crab, shrimp, pork meat, and pork knuckle. Soup was very rich, with a strong crab flavor with a hint of tomato. Very thick soup. Rich and hearty, very good and the amount of crab is generous. I ordered the #2 its a pork and pork blood noodle soup in a clear broth. Light yet very flavorful, it was perfect for a cold day. A lot of pork as well. I definitely recommend it to anyone who likes standard pho, it's a little different because the noodles are thicker and the soups here are different from standard beef or chicken pho. Would definitely come back again!

Banh Canh Cua is my FAVORITE noodle soup of all time, and this is the only restaurant I will go to for it. I have been coming here for years, and although I moved to SoCal, I make sure I stop by Banh Canh 3 Mien every time I am in the area. The food is always fresh, and flavorful. The broth is amazing on its own. The flavors are well balanced, and the protein to starch ratio is straight PERFECTION. Service is always quick and friendly, which is refreshing and hard to come by in this day and age. I always stick with the #5 no pig feet, and a side of Chinese donut to sop up the extra soup. The restaurant is nice and clean, and it looks like they upgraded a lot of things since my last visit. Seriously, COME HERE. Viet food is more than just pho and banh mi, and good Banh Canh Cua is hard to come by. I searched everywhere in SoCal, and nobody comes close.
