Bakery El Sol

Bakery El Sol is located inside the Fruitvale Market Place. Just a stones throw from Fruitvale Bart station. This bakery has a small section of baked goods which includes cakes, flan, etc. I ended up getting two slices of cake:Tres Leches: this was average at best. Not bad but not good either. For the price I don't think I'd get it again. $7 a slice for mediocre Tres Leches is a pass for me.Oreo Cake: it's looks and sounds good. Maybe it was old cake they served me but it was hard and dry. I probably won't be back to El Sol. Too many other bakeries serving superior cakes for the same price.

Great service and cake! I ordered the tres leches cake for a coworkers birthday. Everyone commented how wonderful and tasty it was. The only downside would be parking. I had a hard time trying to find somewhere to park. Drove around a couple of times but eventually double parked and just did a quick visit.

Great place to pick up a quick bday cake. Staff is very friendly and will write on the cake for free. (Btw beautiful cake writing) I paid $30 for a round Tres Leches cake; great flavors- very sweet and moist. FYI- store is inside a building with multiple store. Will help if you speak Spanish but staff does speak English.

Omg. No their bread is expensive and some is old not always fresh will nit be coming here no more beside being rude very unfriendly.

The tres leches cake you guys made for my gf made her so happy. We discovered a caramel tres leches cake in Chicago and this was soooo much more authentic. Also appreciated how long the cake lasted. We consumed it over a week and it tasted just as good each bite we had. Thank you for being my new tres leches supplier.

Best Tres Leches. Ive been a TL fan for two decades before TL was a thing and have since tried many. This is legit. And great customer service. Go. And enjoy.

I've been purchasing my rosca de reyes from this bakery for the last 5 years & I can say its the best my family has had so far! Highly recommend.

Típicamente no tomo el tiempo para ofrecer mi opinión sobre un local, pero esta panaderia es demasiado caro. Hoy fui a comprar pan de muerto, el pequeño me lo dieron a 7 dólares. Más tarde encontré el mismo pan en un supermercado Mexicano en la Fruitvale a 3 y pico. Realmente se pasan los locals con tal de sacarle a la gente dinero. a nuestra comunidad apenas nos pagan bien. It is significantly overpriced. You can find the same bread for the same quality elsewhere for half the price.
