Wow this place is fantastic! It's one of those random spots that you discover that you just fall in love with. The food is delicious and the servers are extremely sweet and nice. I mean, what more can you ask for?We went here to celebrate my friend's birthday. It was 5 of us including my son, and we are so glad we came here! Not only did we have a great time, we also left with a perfectly full belly! We ordered the galbi, pork belly, and brisket. All of it was so flavorful, but our favorite was the galbi. Even my son was going to town on those delicious morsels of beef. Yum! Our server cooked all of our meats perfectly and everything came with salad, rice and side dishes which rounded out our meal. They also randomly through in a vegetable tofu soup as a Christmas gift, which was perfect for the cold weather and so tasty! Tofu soup is actually my favorite Korean dish and it certainly did not disappoint! Definitely coming back! I am happy that they weren't one of those Korean spots that blast Kpop super loud and keep the room so dark that you can't see or speak to your friends. This place is a perfect spot to celebrate with friends, take someone out on a date, or have a delicious family dinner. Love love love this place!

*LOCATION*This restaurant is located in a very quiet plaza and shares a parking lot with Foodmaxx. It was pretty dead when we drove into the dark lot and seemed almost creepy with only a few parked cars. *WAIT TIME*We visited on a Friday ~7:15pm and the restaurant only had 1 table (with 2 people) dining. They had low music playing but since it was almost empty inside, I felt like I had to talk in a quiet voice or whisper LOL. It was a cold and windy day so maybe that was why there weren't many people out and about. *FOOD*Kimchi pancake: big and shareable size, decently crispy, no dipping sauce (but also not sure if they usually have one) LA galbi: tender juicy pieces but the meat wasn't super hot, the sizzling plate also wasn't sizzling like it should beSoft tofu soup: this was ok, soup was hot but not boiling as I'm used to, maybe the stone bowl wasn't heated enough?*SERVICE*The waiter was quick to seat us and offer tea or water. She was nice and checked on us several times during our meal. No complaints here!*AMBEINCE*I'm not too sure how I feel about this place. The food tasted fine but there was no "wow factor". I think it might be a combination of the restaurant being dead and also none of the food being very hot (or freshly made??).. I really wanted to like this place because it seems local/family-owned but I might be going back to some of my other tried-and-true places in the future!

I liked it! Remember my scale: 1star no one should go there. 2, I will go if others want to 3 means I like it and will go back. 4-- it's my favorite of a genre. 5 everyine shiould try it. Only a handful of 5 stars in my book and too many of them have closed; meaning my taste can be questionable. So, this place... yeah, I like it and will come back as a neighborhood spot. However, there was nothing particularly outstanding about it. Service was great!! (probably why I will go back) and the food was what I expected. It was a little pricey, but then we ordered the barbeque, which is my favorite Korean dinner. ($160 for three with two beers). Ambiance was a little fast-food basic., but clean. Menu was extensive. Next time I lmight try something elso (cheaper)

Bae Go Pa KBBQ opened where K Town BBQ was. Similar infrastructure. Similar fare. Single white female server uber friendly, efficient.Confluence of food pics, long wall mural, 4 way split flatscreens, soft musical vocals pleasant soothing. Offerings: entrees, bento boxes, combos, noodles & soups, apperizers. Soontofu, ramen, bibimbap, Korean BBQ, lunch specials..Bites: grilled pork belly + seafood tofu soup combo (33.99) -free soft drink with yelp check-in.-banchan:spicy fish cake, kim chee, broccoli schreds , spicy cucumber, eggplant, radish kimchee, broccoli florets, potato. 'Fridge fresh. Better than average. Fish cake fab..-grilled pork belly needed more grilling. lst time.Flava enhanced by sesame oil dipping sauce. Ate with white fresh steamed rice.Bossam (boiled pork belly) a better choice. 1 order too much for 1 person. -seafood tofu soup was the star. Flavorful msg-less broth enhanced with shrimps, clams, mussels, plenty of tofu has no peer. Flawless. Spiciness would have alter taste as would veggies. *proteins had minimal flava as it flowed into broth.4ish stars. Worthy. Though portions small, i was fulfilled...steady stream of Asian diners..

The prices are quite high compared to some other Korean restaurants in the area but we came here because the place I usually like to go to for seullongtang was closed and I was craving it. The soup was not as rich but they have a lot more variety of banchan. Personally I found the kimchi to be more on the tart side and less to my liking but my husband got a pork lunch special which I think is a pretty good deal. We were probably the only table of customers there at the time so the staff was very attentive and refilled our banchan without much of a wait.

There's literally almost no one when we come to this place. We came here a couple weeks late from my grandma's birthday since my parents are gone for vacation. I heard that this is a new Korean restaurant. There was another restaurant called K-Town BBQ, but it was replaced by Bae Go Pa KBBQ, which is not long ago. This is a good Korean restaurant to go to if you want to get Korean BBQ. I believe that the lady who helped us cooking the BBQ happens to be the owner of the restaurant. She helped us since no one besides us is dining here at that time. Really appreciate that because there's literally too much food. We ordered like a large set of food, that's why. After all that, we weren't able to finish the food, which does not include the sides which they usually get refilled.I think they recently opened which is why rarely people come here, but I guess that it's because they go to other Korean restaurants around Newark. This place isn't as bad though. I highly recommend people to come here to avoid long waiting times and also the food too.

Great selection and no wait upon opening. Lots of parking available in the shared lot with Food Maxx.Server doesn't know much English and was not aware of the yelp check in free soda and therefore refused to honor it.

Such friendly and quick service here! My fam and I will definitely be back here to get our Korean food fix that's close to home. They have an option for grilled/bbq but we opted for the cooked entrees. The galbi was soo soft and our favorite. The side dishes were delicious. The spicy chicken was okay but that's probably bc we weren't a fan of the sauce but we still finished it. The chicken was cooked to perfection though and so soft, and maybe next time we will try the regular chicken entree. The dumplings were crunchy, however, we felt like the inside was a little undercooked or could've been fried a little longer. We definitely will be back to try their other dishes.

Authentic Korean food tucked away in a corner of an underutilized mall and just a few blocks from New Park Mall.Bae Go Pa offers a variety of dishes that are made fresh to order including your traditional barbecue and grilled items as well as soups and noodles/rice cakes. The portions are small and the price is a bit high compared to other Korean establishments on this side of the bay. It was a nice surprise to see a check-in discount offered by Yelp.We came in for lunch on a weekday and it was pretty quiet. There are plenty of tables and seats available, most of them with hot grills in the center and vents up on top for those interested in doing the barbecue. They do offer lunch specials that include an entree, rice, and banchan (a good variety of them). The price is more reasonable with the lunch special but not by much in comparison to other places. They also have a plethora of appetizers and barbecue platters with decent meat options. The saving grace is that the food comes out fresh and tastes delicious. The bulgogi was flavorful and tender but the portion is small. The grilled mackerel is really good; the crisp and seasoning is perfect. The service was great. We were greeted soon after we walked in and seated and they were patient to take our order. Overall, Bae Go Pa satisfies the craving for Korean cuisine but at a steeper price than most places. The quality and variety of food and spaciousness is worth paying for. Consider giving it a try if you're in the area (perhaps before or after a visit to the mall/Costco) but it may not be worth traveling too far for it.

Came here for lunch and was happily surprised with the lunch special! We ordered a bossom and some spicy bulgogi to split and lemme say I aint mad at it! Bulgogi was some nice heat to it but wasn't too overpowering, that was the lunch set which also came with some banchan. The variety of the banchan was great and of course we had free refills! Places that charge for extra banchan is just weird to me idk man. I love me my side dishes. The sweet oma took care of us like we were her own and you know, service like this just makes the meal that much better!Only fret I had is that I thought the bossom portion size was a little small given the price and I wish it had a little more napa cabbage for wrapping. Other than that, I'll be back whenever I'm in the area and need my Korean foods fix! Thats it!!LEEEHHHSSGGOOOOO!! PEACE!!!
