A Hidden Gem for Coffee Lovers! We stumbled upon this place while craving coffee after a heavy meal at another restaurant in Palo Alto. Tucked away in a cozy spot, it's accessible through an 'Insta-friendly' walkway between two beautifully painted mural walls--a hidden gem in every sense. At first, I assumed it was one of those trendy spots that people flock to more for the aesthetics than the actual coffee. But I couldn't have been more wrong. Our group ordered a variety of drinks, and everyone loved what they got. The service was friendly and prompt, and to our surprise, there was plenty of seating. While their signature brews feature some unique craft coffee blends, I went with a classic cappuccino--and it did not disappoint. Bold, flavorful, and beautifully presented, it was everything I hoped for.I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

Paid by card. Backyard Brew is very hidden so look out for the signs to go down the alley to find it. There is some parking lot and street parking close by.I went on a weekday morning and there were a couple people there. I was disappointed when I asked if they had food, and they didn't, since some of the pictures show food. I ended up getting a Jordanian Chai and it was ok.Overall I'm not sure if I would go back since it was difficult to get to, the environment wasn't that cute, the drink was ok, and there was no food.

Not what I expected. The place is quaint but all the seating looked uncomfortable and in the shade. It's literally a narrow alleyway with tarp based set up. Not my scene Also didn't like our drinks which were $7 for jordanian latte with almond milk - tasteless. Just hot tea with steamed almond milk and $6 for golden latte. The latter tasted like burnt coffee with tumeric. Overall not going back

I stopped by for a cup of coffee as I was in the area. I remember trying to come here before in the past, but probably couldn't find it due to its somewhat "hidden" location. Anyway I saw a sign for it today and turned in next to Terun. I ordered a cappuccino (my go-to order everywhere) and it was delicious! Shortly after ordering, a crowd of people showed up. They have some seating in the patio area as well.

Backyard Brew is my new go-to coffee spot. The pistachio baklava latte was perfect, and don't even get me started on their pastries - the leek parmesan thing they have and butter croissant were *chef's kiss*. Super impressed with how the staff handled the Sunday rush, keeping everything organized and warm (coffee and pastries came out together!). Love the vibe and that they have plenty of seating with a creative menu that makes me want to try everything.Definitely worth hunting down this slightly off-the-path spot. Already planning my next visit!

Visited this super cute outdoor café with a friend on a Wednesday around 4 PM. The ambiance is like a secret garden, with plenty of outdoor seating. Many people were working on laptops, giving it a cozy and productive vibe. While there are tents over some seating areas, everything is outdoors, so it's best for nice weather days.**What We Ordered**- Raw Mocha:This mocha is made with unsweetened dark chocolate, espresso, and milk. I really enjoyed it! It's not sweet like a typical mocha, which I appreciated since mochas can sometimes be overly sugary. The bitterness and flavor of the dark chocolate really shine through, so if you're a fan of dark chocolate and prefer less sweet drinks, I highly recommend this.- Desert Rose Latte: My friend got this drink, which is a sweeter latte with hints of rosewater and cardamom. She loved it! The drink is sweet but not overly so, making it a unique and enjoyable option for anyone looking to try something a little different.**Pricing**Most drinks are around $6, which is quite reasonable for the area and the quality of the drinks.**Overall Experience**- Ambiance: A charming hidden gem with a relaxing outdoor setup--great for catching up with a friend or studying.- Service: The staff were super friendly and welcoming. This is the perfect spot to enjoy a drink on a nice day. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique café experience!

This place was very unique. Very cozy and artsy! The banana bread latte was good! Personally I do like sweeter coffees but this was still good. You can taste banana bread opposed to straight banana. The nitro cold brew is your average cold brew. Still good! The only thing is the price. It's definitely worth a try if you're a coffee fanatic!

Backyard Brew is a really fun and unique little spot. You kind of feel like you're finding a secret coffee shop. You have to go through an alleyway to get to it.Once you're there, you'll find a cute coffee shop that has some nice flavored lattes and some solid choices for food.Definitely recommend it if you're in the area.

Such a cute spot! This is an outdoor place, and they do have a couple menus when you go in. Service was fast and I ordered a nutella mocha with oat milk, my friend ordered a pistachio baklava latte. We also ordered the avocado toast, and it was decent. The presentation was nice though. Only downfall is they provide you with 2 different receipt numbers, one for your beverage and the other for food, so it does get a little confusing.

Pour over coffee: Ethiopian beans: 5 Service: 5 Ambiance: 5 Pastry: Almond Fluff: 3.5 Environmentally Friendly: 3.5 This is a great spot that I come to whenever I am in the area and needing a good cup of coffee. The service is always amicable and efficient, and the coffee (I regularly do a pour over or the golden latte) hits the mark. The atmosphere is a great mix of eclectic & natural, and they always have some good tunes playing. There are plenty of spots to sit and chill, or work if that is your vibe. The pastries I've had are ok.. not great, and I normally go down the street for a bagel if I'm really wanting something to eat. I added the environmental score because I am noticing more and more places that do not offer any reusable mugs (when I forget to bring my own). I normally order an espresso but there are places where I won't because they put it in a cardboard, often waxed) cup.
