Huge fan of this place ever since it opened up and I discovered it. They stay truly authentic to some of the dishes to the area of their origin and how it is made there. That's the best part. I have recommended this place to quite a few people and it's been liked by most.Well, starting off, I sill do not know the origin of the name (the fact that it has salads in it!), but does not matter. Pretty upscale location, next time Inchins Bamboo and a couple other restaurants and bars in North San Jose! Retail parking is available.I rate this place 4.5/5. Coming to the food, I highly recommend these,Kizhi Parotta (Chicken) - as already stated in plenty of other reviews, this is one of their trademark dishes. Portion size is huge! It's basically wrapped up parotta with their chicken curry and I must say, the chicken curry is great - huge portion to be honest and juicy well flavored chicken, with a hint of coconut. It will fill you up.Parotta with chicken curry - I have also tried this version of the above dish and this is also great. The parotta is flaky as it's supposed to be.Chennai Chicken Biryani - being from Chennai, I love a Chennai style Chicken Biryani! What is it? It's a long grain(basmati) mildly flavored mughlai style bone in chicken biryani. It's hard to describe but I really like the flavor. One thing I'd say is I like spice in general but they don't customize the spice of this - and in general this is how the Chennai Biryani tends to be. I have also had some of their other dishes like the Kathi roll and the paneer tikka and they are pretty decent too.I hear they had a banana leaf style thali before but I have not tried that. I had their weekend buffet once and most of the food was pretty good. It had the Chennai Biryani, Parotta, a butter chicken, tandoori fish (very good), and some other vegetarian dishes I don't seem to remember right now. Service can sometimes be slow because they employ lesser people but it is not that big a negative. You'd probably keep repeating if you try their best dishes, I certainly will!

It was a Friday evening and it's not busy here. We're a bit worried that maybe the food is subpar. There is a vegetarian Indian Thali restaurant just a couple stores down. We've been there and it was pretty good. We decided to give this establishment a try. It certainly did not disappoint. I hear they serve lunch meals on leaves. We'll have to come back to try that.Here's my quick take:+ Kizhi Parota is flaky bread like pratha that is smothered in tasty curry inside of a leaf. We chose egg but you can choose chicken or vegetarian. This is a unique dish for us. I enjoyed the savory curry. I love the pratha texture after it is soaked in the curry sauce. It comes with 2 eggs. (5/5)+ Chai tea is very good here. Just add 1-2 packets of sugar and you'll get a little caffeine and sugar rush to help get you through the evening. (5/5)+ Hyderabadi Chicken Briyani is standard. Although the chicken is boned, the meat just falls off so it's fairly easy to eat. The side of sauce can be mixed into your rice for more of the deep flavors. (4.5/5)- Gobi 65 is a fried cauliflower typically seasoned with Indian spices. I didn't taste much spice although I see them. It was a bit salty after a few bites. (3/5)- Appam Fish Curry has a tomato based curry that is a bit sour in flavor. It comes with appam which is a pancake that is somewhat spongy and crispy (near the sides). The flavor of the curry and what I guess is Basa fish just doesn't work for me. (3/5)We ordered via QR code and our phones. It's a clean restaurant with modern plasticy decor. It almost feels like an IKEA. You get your own plates and utensils but the lone cashier/server refilled our waters.

This place is a hidden gem. I advice that you call a head of time on what they have available to dine-in vs. take-out. I ordered the kizhi parota with mutton curry to go, and that was wrapped in a banana leaf. It was so good. A little taste of home. My friend got the non-veg thali which also comes with a banana leaf that you can use to eat it out of. The place is small but the variety of dishes is really good. Definitely coming back.

I recently dined at B3 Boyz, a restaurant specializing in biryani, and it was an exceptional experience. I savored their Hyderabadi chicken biryani, which was bursting with flavor and perfectly spiced. To complement my meal, I enjoyed a delightful cup of tea. As a first-timer, I couldn't resist trying the Kizhi Parotta, and it turned out to be a delightful and yummy surprise.What pleasantly surprised me was the combo deal that included a refreshing ginger mint lemonade and a portion of delicious chicken 65 with my biryani. The staff at B3 Boyz were incredibly friendly and polite, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.With such a fantastic start, I can't wait to explore the rest of their menu. B3 Boyz has definitely earned a repeat visit from me, and I look forward to trying their other culinary delights.

The Salads and Fusion tagline is misleading, please change the name! If I had just read the name I never would have guessed they offered such tasty South Indian food. The kizhi parotta is a real treat, wrapped in a fresh banana leaf. Definitely not something you see on most other menus. You can choose veg, egg, chicken, or mutton. The appam was great as well, and so was the chicken biryani. Raja our server was very friendly and attentive. Some of the best service I've ever received at an Indian restaurant. Highly recommend!

Personally felt this place is a hidden treasure. It's very rare that you would still feel hungry after a good Indian meal - goes to say about the quality and freshness of food at the restaurant. The service was overall pretty warm and the restrooms were pretty clean. Dishes : 1. Kizhi Parotta - Tried both the chicken kizhi parotta and the Veg kizhi parotta. The parotta's were fresh, crisp and rightly soaked in chicken curry making ky an amazing experience. The veg Kizhi parotta was coconut milk based and smooth. (Unique must try dish!!!!) 2. chicken 65 - Rightly spiced3. Mutton Combo - The Biryani was pretty fresh and the overall portion size was pretty good. Would visit again just for the Kizhi parotta

Ordered takeout through Yelp and the food was ready in less than 30 min. Parking garage is right next to the restaurant so was easy to go pickup the food. Ordered Hyderabadi chicken biriyani and Tawa fish fry.Loved the food! The Hyderabadi biriyani was yummy with the right amount of masala and around 4 large pieces of chicken. The quantity is also really sufficient for 2 adults. The Tawa fish fry was more like Fish 65 and looked oily. But the fish was too good and just melted in the mouth. Marination was the right amount and so was the spice level. Had around 8 big pieces of fish. They also gave us a complimentary chicken dish which happened to be chicken pepper I guess. Anyways the chicken pieces were so tender and the curry was good. Overall tasty yummy food and can't wait to try more dishes and their unlimited weekend buffet.

Have to admit, I avoided this place for a while because they took over my favorite salad place that used to be here. But I finally caved, and tried them, and I'm glad I did. They have this sliced egg sandwich that I quite like. The service is quick, and the server guy is really helpful. Win, win, win.

Too good food. Kizhi parotta and Chennai chicken biryani are very good. Good portions.

Great food! Bit on the expensive side. Location and ambience is good. Should give it a try!
