Ann's Catering

My husband's company hosted a luncheon this week and I was fortunate enough to have an entire packaged meal delivered to me - what a sweet hubby. I was given the #21 - a Vietnamese Style Grilled Tofu flavored with vegan mayo, pickled carrots, cucumber, cilantro sprigs and jalapeños served on a baguette. Accompanying the sandwich was a pasta salad seasoned brilliantly and finished with a vinaigrette and a chocolate chip cookie. Each item was separately packaged, wrapped carefully and contained within the same compostable box.In fairness I devoured the tofu sandwich the following day, following an overnight stay in our refrigerator. With that noted, the baguette was soft with a bit of crunch - perfect as if it were freshly made at that moment. The pasta salad was firm and seasoned appropriately, not too heavy or delicate. I typically do not stop midway to compose a review but for this I had to. I wanted everything fresh in my mind and on my taste buds to share. Please forgive the half eaten photo, which does it no justice, but know if I am raving about this the day after it was prepared imagine how insanely delicious your experience will be same day! This is my first time ordering catering for a party of 50. I'm so glad I did and especially through Ann's Catering. The ordering was seamless, the communication throughout this process was prompt and responsive. And now let's get to the food--- everyone raved about the food!!! We had finger biscuit sandwiches (steak, egg salad, turkey, fried chicken) and potato salad. It was amazing. Thank you so much for making this an easy process. I gotta hand it to Ann's - they have been a catering gem for my past in-person work events, friends' birthdays, and my very own wedding reception!They have seasonal menus with a variety of delicious options that are customizable for dietary needs (vegan, gluten-free, etc.), very helpful customer service for several of my online/phone inquiries, and they make and present their food with lots of TLC.While you can't go wrong with any of their high quality options, some of my favorites are the soba noodle salad, tofu, mini fried chicken biscuits, spring rolls, portobello skewers, mini loaded potatoes, and steak with chimichurri sauce.They don't deliver but offer pickup at designated times of the day. Prices aren't cheap but you can taste, see, and smell the quality.Needless to say that I highly recommend Ann's Catering. You should also brunch at their sister restaurant,, Rick and Ann's!

I work at a Grad School and we were doing catered lunches for each cohort. This entailed finding somewhere that did individually packaged lunches that were gluten free and vegan inclusive. Ann's has gone above and beyond to ensure we got exactly what we asked for. The food is fresh, delicious, high quality and made with care. They even label everything individually! Let me tell you that bread on those sandwiches was SO tasty. I'm not even vegan but the Vietnamese style grilled tofu sandwich was my favorite! Sarah and Tony took amazing care of us. When I went to pick up the orders (they do offer delivery as well) I was impressed with the selection of items to take home. I had to grab their key lime pie! The whipped cream looked like utter perfection. We will definitely be using them again in the future. They have a restaurant, which also looked poppin!

Just ordered complete Thanksgiving meal for 6- Sliced Organic Diestal Turkey, Stuffing, Mashed potatoes, Gravy, Green Beans, Cranberry sauce, Cherry Salad, Sweet Potato Biscuits and Phyllo Pastry Triangles w Creamy Butternut Squash Soup for Appetizer. All was SUPERB!! Picked up at scheduled time on Wednesday afternoon- all packaged perfectly for reheating. We will be doing this every year, as Ann's food is flawless and extremely reasonable for level of culinary finesse! Thank you, Ann's Catering for making our holiday bright and EASY!!

I just had some of their food. A turkey sandwich, Swiss with avocado, lettuce and basil aioli on sourdough bread. Delicious, you can tell they took great care in selecting the ingredients that went into this sandwich, just a great balance with every bite. Also included was a pasta salad and a lemon cookie. Everything was deeply satisfying. I look forward to trying more of their food.

Ann's Catering handled a reception following a friend's Celebration of Life in Berkeley last year. Lovely presentation, lots of choices, lots of food and everything was delicious. Highly recommended

I recently used Ann's Catering for a baby shower brunch and it was incredible. We loved the chia seed pudding, the fruit and cheese plate, the frittatas and the biscuit sandwiches were incredible! Everything was very fresh, well seasoned, and just tasty. I received so many compliments from my guests. The drop off in Alameda was on time and the platters looked great on the buffet table. It was so easy to order and I was able to get feedback on the quantity of food I was ordering vs. my number of guests. We even were able to make slight adjustments the week before the event based on my final guest count. Highly HIGHLY recommend!!
