Angel Devil Cakes

Never got a call back until 11:15pm who calls clients back at this hour received no message very disappointing...

I feel quite bad in writing this review and even contemplated not writing one at all but that's just not my style, especially when I know that there are people that read my reviews just for my opinions of Desserts. Although the service was excellent the Cupcakes were just not good. As a very experienced baker myself, I know my Cakes.The first thing I noticed with the dozen Cupcakes I ordered was that none of them looked at all like the pictures on the website, Nor did they have the ingredients the website stated either. Raspberry Neapolitan (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/angel-devil-cakes-san-jose-2?select=DnNie8YbJAHFzzOYFiS30A#VVqnAwuT4knpqPkeQ6s9jw). - The mix of Chocolate and Vanilla Cake batter was not even, about 95% of the cake was chocolate and just 5% Vanilla and instead of a simple pale pink Raspberry frosting it was bright pink with lot's of chocolate sauce and a Raspberry. The Raspberry was a nice touch but the Chocolate sauce that was not mentioned at all in the description was nasty (I am guessing Hershey's which in my opinion should not even be classed as Chocolate). I hate Chocolate sauce and had I known this is what I was going to get I would not have ordered it. Looking back at the website I believe I was actually given the ''Chocolate Raspberry'' Cupcakes instead. I didn't get one single hint of Cream Cheese that it was meant to have.My Husband and I both disliked these Cupcakes so much that between 2 of us we ate no more than 3 of them and the rest went in the trash which rarely happens. I would rather give food away than waste it but I would have felt so bad in giving these away.Like I said.. Customer service was excellent. I got a quick response to emails and was able to place my order with a few days notice and I even traveled around 60 miles to collect them. Maybe I just picked a bad time? I had a Groupon for these and honestly am so glad I did as had I paid full price ($40) I would be even more angry at myself than I am now. As it is I still paid $19 for them and even my favorite Cupcake shop only charges $30 for a dozen and I get 2 extra free also..

Feng was so accommodating and her creations are delicious! I ordered a sugar free cheesecake for a diabetic coworker, and it was so pretty and tasty! I also ordered some red velvet/cheesecake cupcakes for my son, and they were moist and better than any higher end bakeshop! I respect Feng's passion and talent, and I hope her business grows and prospers! I would definitely use her again for my dessert needs!

I was disappointed when I picked up my cake. It did not look like what I we discussed and I sent her pic also. She is very nice, but unfortunately it didn't turn out as expected.

What can I say? Feng is awesome. I ordered my daughter's cake on Wednesday and it ready for pick up on Saturday. Feng emailed me several times asking if I would like to custom the flavor and made sure she was making the cake to my liking. Her prices are very reasonable and I cannot rave enough about the flavor. Typical fondant cakes do not last a week since the fondant hardens. Her fondant stays soft for more than a week. The cake itself was super moist and tasted divine. I passed out her cards to all my friends since I brought the remainder of the cake to work. I just really wanted a fancy two tiered cake for my daughter's bday even though we only had a few guests. Her website has a lot of her beautiful creations, but it doesn't show her full talent. When I picked up my cake at her house, she made a despicable me themed cake and a Pixar Cars themed cake that wasn't on the website. Those cakes looked very impressive. In a nutshell, if you want a custom cake that tastes wonderful and looks fabulous, this is the place to order one!

Great cupcake ideas, a terrific variety as well. My only concern would be when I asked for a switch on frosting I was told this could be done, however the switch did not compliment the cake I had ordered. I would ask Angel Devil Cakes to be upfront in letting the customer know that the frosting s are designed to compliment specific cakes. Sometimes the customer is not always right! We really enjoyed the peanut butter cup and the vanilla mini cupcakes! The Oreo frosting could have had more Oreo flavor to it. Thanks for the cupcakes, they were a true treat!

This place is so fraud. The address is the owners personal home address in a residential area. That is not immediately known from this business posting. I called super confused and she said, "Oh i work at home in my kitchen". Like, get outa town! How do you not have a location?

The address on yelp is to an apartment complex. Drove my daughter here for her birthday took us 20min. Just yo find out it's a apartment complex and no cake for her Big Day.
