*First time review, DoorDash order*Danggg this place is good! My partner didn't feel like going out tonight because of the crazy rain we are having so we DoorDashed.Nachos: 4.5/5 partner ordered nachos with steak (no sour cream) and that's exactly what he got. He said they were sooo good and the steak has lots of flavor. Huge amount for the price too. Will definitely order again. Tortilla soup: 5/5 this is one of the best tortilla soups I've had in forever! I was a bit nervous ordering this for delivery because the tortilla chips would be soggy but they had an option for me to select "on the side". Loaded with so much chicken, fresh avocado slices, the broth was very flavorful and still hot! They also gave me a lot of tortilla strips, no shortage by any means. Can't believe this soup was $12.We are 100% going to order again and dine in next time.

My friend and I picked up lunch to go on a Thursday afternoon. It was fairly busy but no wait. The small kitchen restaurant feels too much like a small cafeteria inside. Although they do have some street patio seating. Which I would have opted for vs. the small dining area indoors. But we took ours to the Plaza park across the street. Way better option than anything else. The gentleman at the front taking orders was pleasant and knowledgeable about the recommendations of meats to choose from for my burrito bowl. I chose to go with "Al Pastor", black beans, leafy greens, no rice, Mexican cheese, salsa, jalapeños, and cilantro. My friend chose the crispy steak tacos (order comes with 3). I don't think I'll ever order the burrito bowl again. It was a small serving I side a large plastic bowl. For the price it's not worth it and the meat was so greasy. I could have easily poured out the grease there was so much of it. Since we were at the park, I didn't have anything to pour grease into. My friend said her tacos were ok in flavor and wouldn't order them again. Our meal cost was about $28. Wow! If you want Salsa from their salsa bar, they give you 3 small containers. You're only allowed 3 containers per order. (We ordered together.) Otherwise, they charge for additional containers.

This is Andale Kitchen, not Andale Restaurant which is across the street. People are checking in and posting pics of the wrong place.Andale Kitchen is tiny with only 5 tables, a kitchen, and no outdoor seating.. If you want to order take-out the Kitchen is the easiest, fastest, & cheapest. If you want to sit down with a group or sit on an outdoor patio then you want to go to the restaurant across the street. We ordered takeout from the Kitchen location and it's okay, not great. They estimated 15 minutes but it was done in 5 so it sat on the counter for a bit before we got there. We ordered the Quesadilla Suprema (only 3 pieces), Burrito Chipotle, & the Breakfast Burrito. My gf said the breakfast burrito was really good. I thought the quesadilla and chipotle burrito were just okay(bland) and needed hot sauce from our fridge for flavor. I put the quesadilla on our comal to brown it & get it crunchy.Nothing came with salsa so be sure to ask for salsa if you want it.Basically our experience was meh... Americanized Mexican food, not our first choice but a lot of people like it. Try it, you might like it too.

I ordered takeout here for a Wednesday lunch. I got the Grilled Fajitas with steak and Baja Fish Tacos. The steak in the grilled fajitas were pretty good, tender and a little chewy. It went well with the peppers, onions, and guacamole. The rice and beans on the side weren't anything special. The fish tacos needed some work. The fish itself and the salsa were really good, crunchy fish even after ordering it takeout. However the taco shells and other toppings needed improvement. The shells were too weak and easily ripped. It would have been better if they added a second shell so that it has a better chance of staying together, as most other taco places I've tried so. There was also too much red cabbage on the taco, which was overpowering the taste.

Every time I've gone here there's been some kind of incident and I'm a local and usually we brush it off because we're sitting at Carry Nation's one time we ordered chicken nachos with some salsa and when we went over to pick them up, there was no chicken on it, and there was no salsa. She literally took my food after we had eaten part of it and slop the chicken on top of it. she was a Rwd manager she was always there. I don't know her name. I asked her for salsa. She said she already gave it to me. I brought the bag back and said there is no salsa in this bag. She said I must've taken it out basically calling me a liar. I couldn't believe it. We basically had to eat our nachos without salsa or she wanted to charge us. Today I did a DoorDash, unfortunately on DoorDash it does not allow you to put any notes on on Andale-all I wanted to request with cilantro and onions on the inside of each burrito and the shrimp quesadilla. I also wanted to make sure they used refried beans they don't allow you to put any notes. I called the number listed on yelp 31 times I finally had to call my DoorDash and ask him to hand them the phone. Of course they had already made the food. My daughter is allergic to spicy salsa. She cannot have it so I was asking for them to substitute it with the enchilada sauce. 21 minutes on the phone arguing with the same woman I'm assuming who's the manager she would not put a side of enchilada sauce on a $74 DoorDash order. I told her to take her salsa back and then I've been trying to contact them this entire time instead of agreeing to do so. She told me she had to charge me and there was no way to do so. In the very end, the young girl who had no idea what was going on and completely acted idiotic says to me. Oh well they're already wet burritos. I put my head down and I said why didn't you say that from the beginning? I said because I asked you if I could have two wet burritos if they aren't done then if you could, please put the enchilada sauce on the side. What a joke talk about pennypinching locals. It was absurd. I will never order from them again.

We stopped here on our way back from Monteray. The kids were in need of some food in their system so we came here to take a breather after a long trip back. We sat down and then quickly realized that they are a bit disorganized. We wanted to order a few dishes and were told that they didn't have them anymore. It was 1PM on a weekday??? Well anyway we ordered other dishes that were in fact on the menu. The shrimp taco dish I had was pretty tasty. I ordered a snapper dish for the kids and it lacked seasoning especially salt and was not edible. I felt bad and didn't say anything as our waitress clearly felt bad! So I definitely give an E for effort in terms of the staff as it's clearly not their fault. The ambiance was lovely, filled with nice little trinkets and soft music. So if you're in the mood for a quick bite, I'd say stop here but be prepared to deal with disorganization and possibly things on the menu that are not available. Overall I'd give it 3.5/5

Vegan / vegetarian reviewer:The food was nothing great, it was just okay. The vegan burrito was pretty small and they served it in a plate, but it was packed as if it were a takeout. Yes I am reviewing the dine in restaurant, not the take out one.The waiter got us the food pretty quickly. But it wasn't worth the money we spent, I wouldn't recommend this business. My partner didn't complain about the food- but both of us came home and ate another meal coz it wasn't filling or satisfying.I was absolutely mad that the restroom wasn't maintained at all. Isn't a Sunday evening, a peak time for a restaurant business? It looked like they didn't care. Not just one thing- it was dirty everywhere even though they did have a code to use it. The restroom was pathetic, a public restroom I used after the hike was much more cleaner than this one. This is in downtown so I would suggest finding parking in a garage nearby.

It's a Bay Area institution and certainly for Los Gatos. They changed this location from self-serve to table service a few years ago and they have a nice outdoor seating area in the back as well. The expanded menu has also added some nice variety. My usual is the chile relleno which is fantastic, but decided to try the quesabirria which was one of the newere menu items. They were fantastic! Sometimes the shredded beef can be dry and tough, but it was very tender and flavorful. Nicely crisped tortillas, a little bite from the raw onion and nice oozy cheese. Dunked into the consomme is the perfect pairing. We started with guac and chips which usually are pretty good, but last night was slightly watery which also made it a little more bland which was unfortunate. Service was friendly, folks there are usually always with a smile.

Uniqueness: What happened here? Used to have excellent service and quality has droppedWait Time: [x][x][x][x][ ]Food Quality: [x][x][ ][ ][ ]Service: [x][x][x][ ][ ]Setting: [x][x][x][x][ ] Cost: [x][x][x][ ][ ]Recommendation? Recently, I would not recommend visiting here as food quality has dropped. Don't get the nachos as it became a heated block of soft chips bound together in cheese.I used to love visiting Andale all the time for some good Mexican food but my last visit here (probably my last visit here for a while) was not great. Service seemed uninterested to be there and it seems like management here changed over the years. We got the nachos, crunchy tacos, and the quesabirria taco, and all had their own bits of issues. The nachos for starters was just a mound of cheese with soft chips stuck inside that was difficult to separate. I wouldn't even call it a proper nacho for what it was. The quesabirria was crisp but was much more saltier than I expected; the fact that it was very oily was not an issue as that's expected for Quesabirria. The crunch tacos was the only thing that wasn't too off-putting but was pretty straightforward to begin with, nothing too unique I would say. Cost for everything was what you'd typically expect for a bit higher end Mexican food.I left Andale disappointed during my last visit and I won't be coming back for a while to see how things improve. I wouldn't recommend this place for others for the time being and better to try other places if you want to enjoy your meal.

I don't know how there could be possibly any bad reviews about this place. I'm assuming you have to be mental to write a bad review because not only was the service great, but that was genuinely the best Mexican food I've ever had. My usual order is a cheese enchilada, crispy taco, and side of beans an rice. It was genuinely perfect and I'm so upset I don't live near here. My mom got two carnitas tacos and she said they were amazing. Highly recommend going here. Oh and the chips and salsa comes with 3 different salsas, chips were yummy, and the guac was fresh as well.
