Anchors Fish & Chips and Seafood Grill

Stopped here on our way through Saratoga. First of all, the service was excellent. I don't want to understate anything by saying the servers were "friendly". They were upbeat, attentive, and seemed genuinely happy to be there.I can't speak to all the food, but, the blackened shrimp taquitos! I could eat those all day. The halibut fish and chips were solid. Flavorful, crunchy, and hot. Served with a unique and tasty house-made tartar sauce. If I had any complaints, it would be that the fries were just - meh. But I didn't come here for the fries. Next time, I'll try one of the other options.I liked the ambience and there was nothing unusual about the price, as far as what I ordered.I would come back again next time I'm passing through.

The size of the fish and chips was amazing. For $20 in the bay area I'm used to a finger size fried fish, but this was like maybe a forearm length cod! & Two of them! Flavor was not comprised. Had I known how big the fish would be, the family meal would've been totally worth it! We also got the ciopinno which was jam packed with seafood and delicious. My family also got other pasta dishes which I have no complaints for. Everything was yummy and filling. The only thing I regret getting is clam strips. There's not much meat to the clam so it just tastes like eating fried dough. Maybe next time I'll try the oysters.Our servers were also very friendly and welcoming! Def a gem in the Saratoga community!

Great place to satisfy my fish and chowder craving.Came on a Saturday early evening and was seated right away. There was one server and she was really pleasant and got our orders and food in right away.I got the fish n chips clam chowder special with an upgrade of garlic fries. The fish n chip was MASSIVE. The fish was very buttery and the breading is super light. The garlic fries weren't bad and the clam chowder flavor was good but it unfortunately didn't come out super hot, more lukewarm.The lobster roll was tasty and the bun was nicely toasted. They also offer many different dressings for the side salad.Really solid spot, only suggestion is to make sure the clam chowder is a little hotter!

I had lobster roll and a cheesy bread. Absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend this place. I ordered for delivery on GrubHub, but I would definitely go in person and try it.

Awesome food and ambience for reasonable prices. Great service by Cynthia. She gave a little history on the other locations that we shall certainly try. Impressed by all means !

It was our first time here and could say that overall we were pleased. The fish and chips batter was different from what Im used to, but good. The Dungeness crab sandwich was also tasty and well portioned. It was early in the evening so the place was quiet and the service was great.

The worker at the front today was great (forget his name, not Miles. Miles is great too).The food though, da f. Good thing this happened to me directly. If this happened to my mom, I wouldve been 100x more upset.$60 bucks and I get:- a large lobster shell embedded within the lobster roll- some metalic thing that was inside the halibut fish. I have the image of the metal object but not the large lobster shell as I was going to overlook that.

Food: 4/5 Our group ordered fresh Alaskan Halibut Fish and Chips, Fish and Chips Mixto, Grilled Halibut Fish Tacos, and Scallops Linguine. Everything was tasty, but the standout was the Halibut Fish and Chips. One star deduction for the price to food ratio, although we understand Saratoga is a pricey area.Service: 4/5 Good service, efficient. Nothing notable good or bad.Ambiance: 3/5 Not easy to combat, but there was a pesky persistent fly that kept landing on us or our plates throughout the entire dinner, which made us leave before dessert and grab some sorbet a few doors down at a cafe.Parking was very easy on a weeknight. I would recommend coming by for some tender and tasty fresh fish and chips if you get a craving.
