This place was a little hard to find. It has ample parking and seating. They also had outdoor seating as well. The place was simply decorated but feels like it's been here a little while. The vibe was pretty chill and the people who worked here were nice. I placed our order for to-go, items were:1. Monster burrito- I didn't know this was the type of burrito you eat with a fork but my husband loved it, so much I didn't even get to try it. 2. Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs - I was a little disappointed they didn't have biscuits I wanted to have it with this. The chicken fried steak was super crispy along with the crispy hashbrowns and over medium eggs.. it was perfection..3. Cornbeef hash with eggs and rice - Delicious, nice and crispy. I especially loved that you can have rice as a side.4. Side order of sausage patty - delicious especially when you dip it with gravy and put it on a slice of bread.5. French toast - Amazing!! I didn't even need syrup but good with syrup as well. I can't wait to come back and try their other items.

We had high hopes for Amy's Grill, stopping at the playground next-door, but unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. The service was casual to the point of neglect--after taking our order, no one bothered to check in with us at all. The outdated and poorly maintained interior didn't help the experience. As for the food, it was a disaster. The Philadelphia omelette potatoes were over-spiced to the point of being unpleasant, the waffles had a strange chlorine-like flavor, and my little one wouldn't even touch the scrambled eggs--enough said. The milkshake was the only redeeming item, but even that was painfully basic and served in a tiny glass. This visit was a point of no return for us. Definitely not going back

Amy's grill is a hole in the wall brunch place in a strip mall. The food was ok and the cafe was definitely outdated. I got the veggie omelette and it was typical portion. The garlic they use comes from bottle and would have appreciated more fresh ingredients. The service was friendly and the food came very fast! A typical breakfast and brunch place in the area.

The setting here is a lovely little place, but they need to bring up the sanitation training and how to serve food. The toast was delivered first, then the plates about 8 minutes later. The kitchen is dirty. And they misuse gloves. The Ave plate is 16 $, and the place is packed on a Sat at 10 am; they can make money. Look at the small things, such as how often you change your gloves and wash your hands--wiping down all flat areas. The kitchen floor was not clean. I recommend finding alternative restroom options. Having to go through the kitchen to use the restroom is not a good thing. Unsanitary. I was told the restroom was clean. Thank God the lady was done and did not reveal herself to me. I know it's tough to have a place with limited ergonomics, but you have to do it.

Amy's Grill has been around FOREVER. This was my first time visiting and they were pretty solid. There was a short wait but not more than 10 minutes. It was a gloomy Saturday, about 10:30am. By the time my parents and I left there were maybe 3 parties waiting. There were a lot of regulars that came to pick up food orders. All greeted by name. The dining area is small, clean, and has lots of natural light since they have the two huge windows. It's nothing fancy, but has a very homey feel.My parents enjoyed their everything omelette with fruit. I got the Swiss mushroom burger. When I saw the mushrooms were really cooked down I didn't really like that, but it turned out to be pretty good. They did forget the Swiss, but I didn't even miss it. I didn't even notice until after I was done. I didn't have any problem with it, but might be worth mentioning that the garlic used was the minced garlic from the jar. Burgers come with chips unless you upgrade.

Decided to try a new breakfast spot and found Amy's Grill on Yelp. It's in the same shopping center as Fitness 19, Sonic, and Grocery Outlet. There's plenty of parking available since it's in a big shopping center. They have about 5-7 tables outside in their patio and about 6-8 tables inside the small restaurant. I went on a Saturday morning around 10 am and was greeted and seated instantly. I got the Veggie Omelette with Cheese which comes with bell peppers, onions, spinach, and mushrooms. It comes with hash browns or hot fries which are like country potatoes and toast. I got the hash browns and after tasting the hot fries I wish I would've ordered those as they had lemon pepper seasoning and were really crispy. The omelette plate was a perfect serving for myself, but compared to other restaurants it was smaller so if you are super hungry it might not be enough. I did wish they had hot sauce besides tapatío that paired with the omelette to give it a bit more taste. My sister-in-law liked her strawberry banana waffle which looked delicious. The staff were really nice and attentive the entire time and the food arrived pretty fast. If you want a normal breakfast I would recommend Amy's. On a beautiful day it would be nice to sit outside and enjoy breakfast. I will definitely be returning in the future and would recommend to friends and family's. Check them out!

A small, cozy spot for local families. My job requires me to be on the road and often times I look for spots in random neighborhoods for a quick lunch. More often than not, The solution is fast food but I've been making an extra effort to locate mom and Pop shops so at least my burger is fresh! I was greeted by a friendly waitress and had the opportunity to pick my own seat. I enjoyed a cheeseburger with a side of chips, but it appears that they are more known for breakfast items. Looking forward to my next visit.

Key Points:- Cozy Mom/Pop Diner- Soft and fluffy pancakes- Open as early as 7am- Not a lot of space but outdoor seating availableI visited Amy's Grille after a demanding night shift, and I'm glad I did. Located conveniently close to both my old neighborhood and my old work, this cozy diner has been on my radar for a while. With limited indoor seating and a charming diner-style bar, it exudes a welcoming vibe, reminiscent of a classic mom-and-pop establishment. The Mrs. and the Little one weren't with me. It was far too early for them. So the limited space was no problem. AND, there was no wait, at least not during the hour I visited. Food:Philly cheesesteak omelette: apparently a specialty of theirs. This was a delightful decision. Packed with beef, cheese, and eggs, it surpassed my expectations. Pancakes: a breakfast staple. Nothing short of heavenly - fluffy and moist, they hit the spot perfectly. The coffee: was decent, but it leaned towards the darker, more robust side, which might not suit every palate. Certainly not a single origin light roast pour over. However, given the diner's character and ambiance, it was understandable and consistent with the classic diner experience.Service:The attentive service added to the homely atmosphere, with the server checking in to ensure my experience was satisfactory. I believe it was Amy herself behind the grill, adding a personal touch to the place. Being open early, and closing by 3pm, this is a place you can visit after a night shift, for a weekend brunch, OR if you find yourself in Hayward craving a homestyle breakfast or brunch, this quaint diner is definitely worth a visit.

I've always seen this place for years and never really stopped by. One day I decided to take my mom out to brunch and we settled on this place because we needed to grocery shopping. My mom likes diners or something similar to this place. This place is pretty small, but hella charming. You can tell already by the people and the building that the food is going to smack. The server was hella nice and personable. She made sure to pay attention to everyone! I ended up ordering the biscuits and gravy, it's not like the south, but it was still hella good. If I go back, I would like to try a burger or the other lunch items.
