Went here for my birthday, we heard that this location used to be the Santana Row location. The inside was pretty so so compared to the old place, and had barely anyone in it. Not usually a problem for me. I had the butter chicken which I am giving a mixed review to- the sauce is amazing, one of the best I have ever had- a lot on the buttery side, BUT the quality of the chicken has deteriorated from when I used to come here about 20 years ago. The chi icken quality has been replaced from fine shredded chicken to that of a lower end indian restaurant. The garlic naan was tasty, but portion size was extremely small- needed to get 2 in order to get full!

This place is located in an office type of building so it can easy to miss. There is a decent amount of parking. The interior was spacious, modern and clean. When we were there, we were surprised, because we were the only ones. The restaurant didn't get too crowded either. The staff was friendly and the service was decent. The butter chicken here was probably the best butter chicken I have tasted. It tasted different and better than all the past butter chickens I have tried. The garlic naan and the tandoori chicken were delicious as well. The tandoori chicken was not dry and went well with the provided sauces. I tried pani puri for the first time and it was okay. This is now my favorite Indian restaurant.

First things first, the food is Excellent! We had a small gathering of 4 families & were looking for a central place in the Bay area & stumbled upon Amber. Believe, they have recently moved from Santana row to Milpitas. Back to food, the quality is Amber-SFO like, their signature Palak chat is a must. Chicken Hara(Green) tikka & 65 both nicely done. The main courses - Dum ka Mutton, Goan Fish curry & Chicken Chettinad were top-notch - not overly creamed or spicy. Saag Corn is worth the risk. The portion sizes are generous & prices are pretty decent. The manager, staff are very friendly & efficient. The place is spacious, the decor could do a minor makeover. Don't get bothered by the obscure location. Overall very happy with the experience & would recommend it highly for group gatherings.

We went here by chance as we wanted an Indian place in Milpitas and found this place on Yelp. We were very happy with our discovery. The food was both plentiful, and delicious. The service and ambience were friendly and elegant. I highly recommend this place for dine in and take out.

We recently hosted our son's 1st birthday party at Amber India Milpitas. It was simply a fabulous experience. Food was very delicious and service was outstanding. The place gets a lot of natural light and just improved the overall ambience for the event. Godfrey and Vignesh really nailed it for us. Whatever they committed to us in terms of the food menu, service, timings, decor they executed it religiously. All our guests were so happy and thoroughly enjoyed the event. Thank you so much Amber India for giving us a memory of life time. Certainly looking forward to hosting more such events and get togethersgoing forward !

We went to Amber india to do a wedding food tasting and this experience was absolutely out of the world. The service here was absolutely impeccable. Once we got into Amber the ambiance is very nice for a yummy Indian sit down meal. We ended up trying:* three cheese tikki asparagus - we liked our crispy this was on the outside and soft on the inside. We wish there was a little more cheese in there but otherwise enjoyed* pesto paneer tikka - this was soft and well flavored, and for any fan of paneer this is a go to!* wild mushroom chettinadu pouch - if you are looking for mushrooms wrapped around a crispy crunchy exterior, this is a nice dish for you*Peshawari murgh tikka - this was absolutely the best thing ever - if you are looking for juicy succulent pieces of chicken, well seasoned, this is absolutely something you must try* boti kabob - I really loved these also, the pieces of lamb were juicy and tender, but I also really loved the seasoning on these* karavali macchi cutlet - this was a fish cutlet made of fish and potatoes, it could use a bit more seasoning but it was nice and crispy and went well with the sauce it cane with* Sarson ka saag - this is green goodness, it's creamy and delicious and went well with the naan* Kadai paneer - made with bell peppers and onions this paneer dish was tender and flavorful. Would highly recommend* kurkuri bhindi - this was crispy and crunchy as well as super flavorful. We had some leftovers for the parents and they loved it* dal palak - this was simple yet delicious. Perfect addition to the rest of the meal* ambers butter chicken - this was creamy, flavorful and delicious. The pieces of chicken were also very tender which I loved * goat masala - this was also really yummy and the curry was very flavorful. Loved the bone in lamb! * naan/ pulao/ raita / salad - all the accompaniments were delicious and fresh. We couldn't stop eating!* Santra firni - this was nice and creamy, however I could not get the orange taste enough and felt it could be a little sweeter* kala jamun with rabdi - this was the star of the show, the warm jamun with cold cream rabdi was to die for. I could not stop eating this. Godfrey who was helping us packed us some extra for our parents who absolutely loved it Overall the food was yummy and Godfrey and the chef cooking for us was absolutely a delight to talk to and work with. Would highly recommend to check out this business and location for future events/dinners in general!

This was an interesting experience. To Note: this place does not serve alcohol. The restaurant is pretty large and we went for the lunch buffet. Considering that the restaurant was half filled, we were surprised that there was a shortage of many items while we were there. It was Mother's day and they seemed a bit short staffed. We had to wait a while (as well as other tables) to get our Naan. BUT it was nice and hot once we did get it.They ran out of plates at the buffet area . You would think that they had enough plates considering the restaurant was only half full. So people had to wait for plates to be restacked. They also kept running out of certain buffet items. Had to wait a bit but they would be make sure to refill it.The food was okay, but I think the experience is why I will not be coming back.

I got the butter chicken, rice, garlic naan, and gobi Manchurian. The butter chicken was very flavorful and tender. The garlic naan was delicious crispy and flavorful. The gobi Manchurian was slightly spicy, crispy and savory. Service was nice and waiter was attentive, the inside was spacious and incredibly clean compared other restaurants I've been too. Portions were a little small for the price but the quality made up for it so I didn't mind! I would definitely go here again.
