Amazing Katsu

Got the Pork Soboro Don to go, and it was delicious! The pork was tender and flavorful, and the rice was spot-on. Even as takeout, everything stayed fresh and tasty. Definitely will be back! Highly recommend!

Located along Evelyn Ave right alongside Central Expressway, parking is limited but availability usually and should open up quite quickly since each parking spot has a 5 minute limit.Pork loin katsu (4/5): good serving size and balance of rice, katsu and salad. The katsu wasn't bad. Crispy exterior but was a bit mushy.Ordering was done online but you can also order there. The wait for the food is about 20-30 minutes. Overall, Amazing Katsu

We ordered the cheese katsu and pork lion katsu deluxe set. Overall, the cheese katsu was good, but the pork lion katsu was a little dry for my taste. We waited about 50 minutes for the food- which is honestly a really long time. After FINALLY getting our food and driving home, we realized we weren't given our rice and cabbage included in the deluxe set. Disappointed, yes. Super annoyed, forsure! Luckily we didn't live too far so we drove back and got our rice and cabbage. All in all- don't come here if you are already feeling hungry and check your bags before you leave.

Amazing Katsu is correctly named.The katsu is amazing. Perfectly crispy. Tender meat.I found something in my food that shouldn't have been in there - which is the one knock we had against the place. Don't know if being a "takeout/delivery only" place affects the cooking and preparation. But if the katsu wasn't so tasty, I would probably be angrier at it.Still, the chicken / pork / pork tenderloin katsu + gooey melted cheese katsu were all delicious - and all were consumed in its entirety.

Amazing Katsu offers a unique take on katsu, with some hits and a few quirks. The chicken katsu seemed to be sous vide rather than pounded thin, which gave it a different texture than I'm used to. While it wasn't bad, it did feel a bit unconventional. On the other hand, the cheese katsu was a standout--gooey, indulgent, and exactly like what you'd expect to find in Asia.The tenderloin katsu, while tasty, felt a bit underwhelming for the price, especially considering that the regular pork tonkatsu was just as tender and satisfying. That said, the overall experience was enjoyable, with good flavors and solid execution. It's definitely a spot worth trying, especially if you're craving a taste of katsu done differently!

I thought it was fun, but others weren't as excited. 3.5 stars Midlights:- Pickup process: my first time at a dark kitchen so was bit confusing. You scan your order info at the tablet and then it says to pickup at the counter. The app said my order was ready but there wasn't anyone at the counter. When I finally got a hold of someone they said it is ready but I still needed to wait. After a while when I heard noises on the other side, I scanned again and a locker opened with my food. Lowlights:- Order wasn't quite right--but I got refunded right away and they were very nice and apologetic about it as the menu recently changed. People make mistakes, but good customer service is so hard to come by these days and greatly appreciated.Enjoyed this nearby katsu takeout spot and would order it again.

Pretty good and highly recommended. The pork Katsu was golden and perfectly crispy, with a juicy and tender center. The breading wasn't too oily, which is a big plus. The katsu thick sauce was tangy and slightly sweet, complementing the pork nicely without overpowering it. The dish was served with a fresh cabbage slaw that added a nice crunch and a side of steaming white rice--simple but well-executed. Scam!! The pick up location is actually Santa Clara and not Sunnyvale but they don't tell you that until after you've ordered and been charged. And when I called to inquire, I was told they said the location when we ordered. No they did not or I would not have ordered 15 more miles away.
