Alexander's Steakhouse is one of my and my fiancé's favorite special occasion spots. Service and ambiance are always flawless without it being too stuffy. Our favorites? Alexander Trio, the Tomahawk, and the bone-in ribeye. Their wagyu melts in your mouth, and their steaks are always flavorful. Don't skip their bone marrow either -- goodness. So rich & delicious.Save room for dessert if you can. We've tried all of them and always enjoyed them -- from presentation to taste, it's a decadent experience. Treat yoself next time you're in Cupertino. You won't regret it!

I don't want to be too harsh in this review, so let's see. I went here for a special occasion, and at first, everything seemed pretty good. Our server was very nice and friendly. This was my first time trying this restaurant in Cup., and overall, the food was great. As for the atmosphere, I really appreciated how professional and welcoming the staff inside were. That being said, I would have to take off two stars compared to the Alex location in SF. The main reason comes down to an experience with one of the hosts that day. I won't go into details for personal reasons, but I hope the staff understands that when guests - especially couples - come in, the hosts should be mindful of their actions and avoid overreacting. The way one of the hosts looked at me with a "wow" reaction felt really weird and, to be honest, quite rude. I don't mean to sound too direct, but it was impolite. While I understand that creating a friendly environment is important for a business, there's a balance to maintain so that guests still feel respected and comfortable. We truly appreciate the hospitality, but professionalism should always come first.

My friends and I have an annual tradition for the last couple of years to go to a steakhouse on New Year's Eve and indulge. For 2024 NYE, we chose Alexander steakhouse. The meal started off with a complimentary bread basket and crab salad amuse bouche. Both were delicious! We knew we were going to go heavy on the entree so we added truffle fries to start in the beginning. Keep it light, haha. Fries were delicious! For my entree, I shared the split-bone ribeye with my hubs. I like my steak medium well. This was cooked to perfection! It was served with a Bordelaise sauce. For sides, we shared truffle mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, mushrooms, and creamed spinach. Yum, yum, yum and yum!! A few of my friends shared the porterhouse. Sadly, they weren't impressed . And another friend ordered the Mero which she loved! Finally, we ordered the Shibuya crossing, banana bombe and ice cream trio. I personally thought the dessert was just okay but my friends loved them! The restaurant also served complimentary cotton candy and sweets.Overall, I had a great time at Alexander's Steakhouse!

FLAVOR (4/5): We tried their 7 course omakase experience and majority of the dishes were a hit! Let's start off with the free bread because the croissants are insanely buttery and flakey! They have a free started strawberry shooter which was okay. The trio appetizers blew our minds with the tuna tartar being not fishy at all, the lobster cavier was my favorite and the hamachi shots is a classic for this restaurant! The beef tataki is mouth watering and literally melts after 3 bites! The scallop is decent, the sea bass was decent. The short rib was my least favorite course, a bit too salty and a bit too dry. The steak at the end really brought us back to heaven, so tender and so delectable! The dessert was also amazing as a horchata ice cream! INSTAGRAM WORTHY (5/5): There is prestige that comes with the restaurant and if you're eating a 7 course meal it definitely instagram worthy! SERVICE (5/5): After every meal they came over to wipe the crumbs off our table cloth, always had our waters refilled without us asking and the courses flowed out so well. There was very minimal wait time between. TAKEAWAYS: Not giving it 5 stars because despite going on my birthday they just gave me a birthday card and nothing else. It's expensive for what it is but I would say to try it at least once!

5-stars all the way! From start to finish, everything was on point. To me, their strong suit is their excellent service. Everyone has a role and they dominate each position. From refills, table clean ups, surprise mini bites, food delivery, etc. Everything was great! We'd like to thank our waiter, Eddie V, for doing amazing job last night. He presented himself with such professionalism and treated us like VIP guests. He gave us complimentary Prosecco flutes, complimentary smoked salmon roe, and pumpkin pie bites for dessert. We ordered a porterhouse steak (28 oz) for about $120; medium rare with a cool center. It was served with 3 dipping service which paired beautifully with. The steak was nicely cooked but I do wish it had a better crust on it. We also paired the steak with 3 sides: mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and lobster Mac. The best was their lobster truffle Mac because of the flavors. The mashed potatoes were just eh and their spinach was good. The sides are small but I think enough to get you full. My wife and I shared everything which filled us up. For dessert, we had their banana bombe which had vanilla-banana ice cream covered with a chocolate dome and an espresso-caramel sauce to melt everything. This dessert was perfect and definitely one of our favorites. I forgot to mention their bread basket being excellent too with a buttery and flaky croissants, white bread and this sesame cracker. The bread and butter is always a must and a hit. The cotton candy in the end is just everything and the cherry on top. We had an excellent time for my birthday dinner here. They give you this tiny cupcake with a candle and a greeting message written in melted chocolate. We will be coming back for sure and this time, I'll have a glass of whiskey. Their whiskey collection is huge here with lots of top shelf and rare labels.

This. Place. Does. Not. Disappoint. From the food to the impeccable service, Alexander Steakhouse is *the* place to go for a memorable experience: a great drink, amazing sides, and a great steak. I recommend the new fashioned cocktail, filet mignon, fried rice with dancing bonito flakes, mashed potatoes, and asparagus.

It's been years since I've dined at Alexander's, mainly because there are so many other steakhouses in the Bay Area. Last night, we tried the Omakase, their prix fixe menu. While it wasn't primarily fish as you might expect from a Japanese restaurant, it was definitely inspired by Japanese influence. We paired our meal with cocktails and a great bottle of GSM. Everything was delicious, and we were so full that we had to box up our last entrée and even the cotton candy to take home. The service was fantastic! Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about both the wine and the food, and he added a wonderful presence to our evening. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name, but we closed the restaurant with him still taking care of us!Parking is easy, with street and structure options nearby. It's a great location, surrounded by other restaurants and dessert spots as well.

We recently visited Alexander's Steakhouse in Cupertino and had an amazing night, centered around their famous omakase experience with an upgrade featuring Wagyu beef. From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch, and the staff made us feel right at home. What really stood out was how they handled my husband's dietary restrictions. He has celiac disease and a serious shellfish allergy, which can make eating out tricky. But the team at Alexander's went above and beyond. They put together a special omakase menu just for him that was safe and still delicious, so he could enjoy every course without any stress. Their attention to detail with cross-contamination and finding great substitutes was impressive and really appreciated. The food itself was incredible. Each dish was creative and beautifully made. The star of the show was definitely the Wagyu beef--super tender, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. The whole lineup of courses blended traditional Japanese omakase with a modern steakhouse vibe, making it a unique and memorable meal.Alexander's Steakhouse really knocked it out of the park with their mix of amazing food and top-notch service. If you're looking for a special dining experience where dietary needs are handled with care, this place is a must-visit.

Amazing! Amazing! The food and service was outstanding! We left feeling special and happy. Starting off with great drinks a dark bourbon beer and the Drunk Munchkin alongside a complementary trio of different breads and butter. Chef prepared a tasting of tuna tartar which was incredible. Then we had the scallops, filet mignon, sea bass and for the sides we ordered the asparagus with king crab meat on top and some golden mash potatoes! We cleared our plates. Being too full for dessert they brought out a sweet treat on the house. I was expecting chocolate candy or something small. NO we got cotton candy, a delicious soft pistachio pastry and gumdrops. I couldn't agree more with the staff, the dessert was a trip down memory lane and transporting you to childhood. Felt so special throughout the whole night. Storm was our server and he was very kind and attentive. Will definitely be coming back here!

4 Stars - Great for Special Occasions, But PriceyWe came to Alexander's Steakhouse to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a nice experience. We ordered the three-course prix fixe lunch at $70 per person, and after tax and tip, it came close to $100 per person--definitely an expensive lunch. The portions were small, but the presentation and taste were excellent. The restaurant environment was nice and quiet, with only a few tables occupied during lunch, so we were able to dine very comfortably. A nice touch was the complimentary appetizer and cotton candy at the end.Overall, it's a great place for a special occasion, but it's too pricey for everyday dining. Worth trying once in a while!
