I usually go to a different location, but I was close by to Almaden Expressway and decided I wanted to give it a try here. I usually order takeout as there are a lot of good deals on takeout. Plus, I can eat it along my way. I am not disappointed at all. The food and service are just as consistently good as the other location and the decor is more cafe restaurant casual. My take out came with everything I needed and I am enjoying a wonderful lunch. There are spicy salmon, Hand Roll and spicy tuna handles are both delicious and their chicken teriyaki roll was extra special today. They put some extra pieces of chicken teriyaki on the outside and covered the roll with teriyaki sauce . I haven't had it that way before and I absolutely loved it. All in all Akita sushi is an excellent sushi bar. I recommend it.

I decided to try this restaurant as I was in the area. It's a small hole in the wall place, but very good. I came during their lunchtime and they had a bento box special two item for $12. It was a decent size portion and everything was really good. I had the Chicken Katsu and Calif roll combo. The CA roll had real crab!I also had a Saba nigiri sushi, which was good. The fish was fresh and nicely presented. I would definitely come here again.

God why did I come back?The service is somehow even worse than before. Waiting forever to get what I ordered, not a single time was my water refilled, and to top it off the waitress forgot half my order. And the restaurant was half full!Gosh I really want to like a place with decent quality and good prices. But the distracted and half ass service is just intolerable.And it looks like now they aren't even keeping the floors clean. Did the owners give up?

I really like their poki bowls! It's a good portion size to share. We also tried their tempura which wasn't cooked all the way, so the veggies were super crunchy but the batter was soggy. I would also skip the edamame because the chili sauce they throw it in wasn't the best Or order them plain and use the spices on the table to season them is the best way to go. Otherwise the sushi is good, fish tastes fresh.

Had a chance try Akita Sushi and this was a nice experience. If you are looking for Japanese food this is a decent spot. I had a to go order from here and I got to try a variety of different things. I got to try an assortment of nigiri which was yummy. The fish was fresh and delicious. I so tried the California roll which was really yummy. I would go back and try more!

Came here for lunch with my bf. We wanted something kinda and a bit local to where we were. The food was ok. We ordered the Big G and Blossom Hill roll, which were both huge rolls and the mango roll and tropical roll. The mango and tropical roll were both very flavorful, while the two large rolls which we were looking forward to, was a bit of a disappointment. The flavors didn't quite fit together, it was too much, but at the same time a bit bland. The only thing that stood out was the "spicy" from the spicy tuna. The service could use work. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't good either. We were greeted upon coming in. The server got our order and then we never saw the server again. My BFs water was filled once. The only time they checked up on us was to ask if we were ready for the check. They did give us a complimentary appetizer, which was nice, but overall it was just a basic experience and hard to say that there was something that would be a highlight to come back,

I got a bento box with three items, and I selected terriyaki salmon, terriyaki beef, and beef bulgogi. The beef was great as it was flavorful and juicy, made medium rare plus. The salmon was also cooked well. The bulgogi was not as flavorful to me although it was a generous portion. I also got a small scoo of white rice and salad. My friend ordered sushi roll and vegetable tempura, which I really liked.Menu had lots of variety of both sushi and non-sushi items. Place is located in the corner, near Trader Joe's in the shopping center.

This little place used to be the very worst Happi House, and that's hard for me to say, since I really like Happi House, in general.It is so much better now! The Sushi was very good. I had a tekka maki that was really good. A nice thick portion of tuna, with a good roll of rice. I also had the Hamachi Handroll. They subbed out the cucumber for Avocado for me, which was really nice of them. Unfortunately, there were no green onions.My mom had a 49'er roll and some tempura sweet potato, which she really liked, but it was a bit too much food for her, so we took the extra home for my partner. He was very Happy with it.The shop was clean and well laid out, plenty of four tops and a few two tops inside as well as a couple of tables out front.The staff were very friendly, and the service was quick.Watch yourself of the soft drink orders, though, the lemonade was HUGE, I couldn't finish it.We'll definitely be going back, my main regret is we waited so long to finally try it out.

I went there to grab a quick dinner, as I placed my order & listed my disposable chopsticks. There was a cockroach on the napkin with various of black dots. I literally cancelled my order immediately & informed the hostess and all she did was laughed. As I left to my car, she just left the napkin with the cockroach on the table and didn't bother to clean it up. For them to serve food, yet alone sushi & not be clean is concerning.
