After the closing of my beloved Chef Liu, Ace King BBQ is the only thing that somewhat fills the void. It's on par with taste, has better service, and is a bit less grimy (less oily and not as salty). Here's what I always order for a big boy, this should leave you full af:-Cucumber salad to share-4 Beef-2 Lamb-Chicken Skin-A Vegetable-Chives-String Beans-Tofu Wrap to share-RiceService is great, they speak both Mandarin and English. They recently implemented a customer rewards program with a spin the wheel freebie which is nice. The decor is loud and bright to simulate nightlife in Asia. This place can get busy so go earlier to avoid long waiting times. Best for groups of 4, come earlier if you have a bigger party.

Pro Tip: Bring cash for a discount. At time of visit, there was a wheel to spin for a chance at some small prizes, and the portions are adequate. Highly recommend coming for an evening snack or even for dinner. Staff are aware, conversive, and friendly.- - - - - -Skewers... my excitement over skewers is quite easily stated as nonexistent, but I have to admit that the ones served here were welcoming. Upon entering, the aggressively bright lights remind me of the night life in China. What was entertaining at the time was to spin the wheel for a chance to win prizes from free appetizers to 5% off your meal - we somehow won the 5% :)The staff were unexpectedly friendly and conversive; despite our limited Chinese, they were very attentive throughout the entire meal. We ordered quite a few items: chicken skin, beef, lamb, chives, A choy / vegetable, toasted buns, pork trotters, etc. As aggressive as the neon lights were their use of the same spice to season their skewers, so to no surprise was the numerous cups of water that we drank. Despite this, the staff were always around to check and refill our waters! While we were eating the pork trotters, we were supposed to get plastic gloves, but they forgot. It was a messy - but otherwise fun - experience. Cleanup was fairly straightforward, and they also have free WiFi! Paying was straightforward, too, as they provide a cash discount (which stacks with the wheel), but paying by card is also possible.

I was a little worried when I saw 3.7 but wow it was actually SO good. I just came back from China this summer so I can confidently say that this was very authentic and in some ways even BETTER. What I got:1) green beans 2) cucumber salad 3) New Orleans house chicken - MUST GET - crispy, juicy, flavorful4) potatoes 5) squid tentacles6) chicken skin - MUST GET - so crispy all around7) beef skewers - very tender and juicy 8) 5 mini corns skewers9) 10 mini lamb skewers 10) dumplingsI would skip the minis and and get the full sizes! Dumplings are standard fare and I would focus on skewers here. Service is prompt and helpful. The interior is brightly lit with futuristic neon lights and it feels like being in Shanghai. Go now and spin the 10 year anniversary wheel because those deals are AMAZING

At 8 pm there was still a small line out the door, but we already had a reservation so were able to quickly get in. The interior is reminiscent of a night club - with neon signs, and loud decor. Each table is supplied with a food warming platter and some paper bowls. Make sure to also bring a phone, because ordering happens via QR code. Once we selected the items we wanted, someone came pretty promptly to our table and gave us our receipt with our ordered items (doesn't limit you from ordering more amounts as you go). The food was served in waves - with someone coming by every few minutes with prepared skewers. The food was overall pretty salty and cumin-y, and some of the skewers were not as good as the others. Overall, we had a decent experience and it's a pretty fun concept!

I've been here a couple of times now and it's never disappointed me! The ambience in here is lively, depending on what time you go! Staff are quick and always helpful. I think the prices for everything are pretty fair and the food is great. Everything is cooked perfectly and the seasoning is so yummy. The beef and squid skewers are some of my favorites! Definitely recommend getting the fish cakes and corn as well. Great place to come with friends and get together! Please give this place a visit!

Tucked away in the corner of this plaza, is a Chinese style bbq place that is to try! The ambience is . The neon lights, and 2000 Chinese pop music is the vibe you'll get. I will say their ventilation is not great. The dining area smells very smokey, and when I took a peak into the kitchen, it was extremely Smokey. Food is ordered via QR code. And the food comes out pretty quick. The quality of the skewers were solid. Very meaty with not too much fat. The flavors of the skewer were so-so. The cumin-fennel flavor did not come through. Looking at the skewers, we saw mostly red pepper flakes. Could use a touch more salt. To get yourself on the waitlist, there is a QR code to scan. The code is located inside the restaurant at the cash register. You can probably add yourself to the wait-list on MiniPass if you live nearby to avoid a long wait. Overall, I would come back again to try their other food items. However, would love to be in an environment that is better ventilated.

The last time I had Ace King, I rated it 3 stars, but after trying it again, I think it's much better, especially when dining in compared to takeout. This spot is perfect for late-night BBQ cravings! They offer a wide selection of flavorful skewers and shared dishes that are great for groups. My favorite skewers were the Chicken, Beef Tripe, and Pork Belly, each flavorful and tender, not chewy. The laid-back vibe and cool neon lighting really add to the experience. Service was quick, and the skewers came out promptly. TIP: get here early when the restaurant opens at 5pm because the wait can go up to 1-2 hours.

I love the ambiance of this spot, there's a lot of neon lighting which makes the place look so lively and fun. The food here is so good, it's perfectly seasoned and a tad bit spicy. My favorite thing to order is the pig feet and steamed bun slices. I need to come back here asap.

Ace King has a wait of 1-2.hrs, sometimes...The question is, is it worth it?Service: for sure! Staff are very responsive to requests and orders and checking on tables. They are very sweet for sure and they make sure all the tables are taken care of. The vibe here are sticks and spirits...not the other side of the vile kind spirits but etoh and meat skewers. Which is a great combo for the Asian G's sipping on Tsingtao and whisky after a long day of manual labor and the younger fresh-faced crowd shooting-da-shiz about sustainability and global warming and bitcoin over some sweet soju... As a GenXr, my expectation of a meal differs a bit. I felt it was just one big snack sesh versus a real supper. (I am surely showing my age by this statement oh well lol) However we were not dissatisfied w/ the food possibilities and options, as we were all fairly full since we ate more than enough for each person but my satiation level was not reached lol The 5 spice, the peppers, the herbs and the smoke hits every.single.skewer. And momentarily, your pallet is a little overwhelmed w/ all those flavors. What really helped was the cold cucumbers for cleansing your pallet...1.5 hrs later and $200 lighter, we've hit our max of 5 spice flavors and stomach capacity...I like it, but ACE King wouldn't be my goto for a "meal" but for fun size snacks and a night of throwing back some etoh. I think it it's worth the hype and wait for someone who enjoys the themed courses, but an aged mama like me I prefer little more substance and tangibility in a meal, less jazzy seasonings, smoke, and lights. BUT Xièxiè very much, staff really were the high notes of this place!

I can't remember how many times I come back for their food. The rice noodle is my must order carbs with the skewers. Crawfish was not bad, but kinda oily since it's spicy crawfish. Customer service was okay, they kept checking on customers, refilled water to all the table, but just barely communicate with customers. If you're a talker, this is not a right place to dine in if you eating alone. JK LOLI pretty like the LED lights and the steam fire in the store, and it's actually a pretty good spot to take pics too!
