Amazing food, affordable without the frills. Small joint and the service is very good for a small business.I go there once a month for my soup dumplings and noddles.

We were in need of some dinner. So we decided on some dumplings so 88 Bao Bao here we go! It's been a while for us since we've been here so it was nice to try it again. In short, it was just okay.L O C A T I O N88 Bao Bao is located in the plaza on Fallon Rd. and Dublin Blvd. Parking in this area has a dedicated parking lot but it was definitely hard to find a spot. I N S I D EI forgot how small this place is. It's small but there are definitely a good amount of tables and seats inside. It may be easier to just take food to go or if you do want to eat in with a group maybe come in earlier during the peak eating times.M E N UI'm glad there were some menus on Yelp because when I went on my phone to attempt to go to the online ordering system, I couldn't on my iPhone. There was no way to get past the warning text about making sure you order at the right location. There are good variety of items from steamed, boiled, and pan fried dumplings as well as some noodles and soups.~ Chili Oil Wontons ~It was hurts so good kind of wontons. The spiciness was definitely one that hit and just lingered for a while. So if don't like that kind of spice then you may not want to let those wontons swim in that chili or douse it in more of the sauce or just avoid this dish.~ Pork Xiao Long Bao ~I feel like this would be better if eaten in person. But regardless, the top is thick, the inside fine but I've definitely had better. I recall the first time I had this in the actual restaurant, I found it too fatty.~ Boiled Pork, Shrimp, Leek Dumplings ~Full of flavor and that's probably due to the shrimp and leek. I'd get this again.~ Pan Fried Pork Buns ~I didn't get to eat one but the inside is different than what I'm used to. It's ground meat that's loose inside the bun. The others who had it in our group said that it isn't the best they've had but it was different.~ Beef Roll ~A nice chew and slightly sweet. I kind of liked this.~ Stir-fried Green Beans ~Very garlic forward with slices of garlic. A little oily, but it was good.S E R V I C EWe called in our order. We were told about 15-20 minutes. It was probably done closer to 15 minutes as we felt the food was sitting there for a while. We easily paid by card.O V E R A L LIf you're looking for some dumpling, this place isn't too shabby and has a good variety of items to choose from to get a good sampler of food. It was very easy to order calling in, but ordering online on my phone not so much. Check them out!

Came here on a Sunday shortly before noon. We were able to get seated promptly but we had to share a table with other customers. We checked the items we wanted to order then had to go to the cashier and order. Kinda interesting cuz we had to pay tips before we've been served and the tips was on top of tax.All the food was good. Better than the one we tried in San Ramon recently . XLB was good but didn't blow me away . Maybe the soup wasn't as rich.Beef roll did blow me away. Usually it's pan-fried but they had it deep fried and the crust was crispy but not too thick. The ratio of crust, beef, sauce and everything else was good!! Highly recommend it.Pan fried pork bun was good too it's lots of soup inside. We like it pan fried and not deep fried as other places do.Beef noodle soup- I asked the person who takes our order if it's spicy and he said no. But it came with chili oil on the top. It's not super spicy but it's not non-spicy either. Beef was tender. Soup can be more flavorful.Overall , we enjoyed it. Customer service was very good!!! Not the usual Chinese restaurant service you get! From the moment we went in to the time we left, they were so attentive and friendly. It's quite a small place so it gets crowded and lots of people waiting when we left. And you might need to share a table with others. But the food was good! Will definitely come back!

Whenever we're in town and need our dumpling fix, 88 Bao Bao is the spot.Their food never misses. That main pic? Yeah, that's my sesame & scallion pancake because it was too good not to capture lol. The beef roll? Easily my favorite, alongside those chili oil wontons that bring just the right amount of heat. The pan fried pork & shrimp dumplings? Juicy, crispy perfection. And of course, the Xiao Long Bao always hit the spot just don't burn your mouth trying to eat them too fast (we've all been there) The staff is super friendly, but fair warning: this place gets BUSY. Today, it was so packed they sat us right by the door. And guess what? It was so windy, our napkins literally flew off the table like they had somewhere better to be lol. Luckily, a couple next to us was just about to leave land we got moved to a better spot. But hey, even though today was a windy day , the food was 100% worth it. Can't wait to come back : )

My go to place for quick- on the go dimsum/dumplings/bao/or quick meals!I come here once a month for my cravings. My usual order:- chili wontons: 10/10 MY FAV! The amount of chili oil and the flavor- it's seriously so good. Chefs kiss. You have to try!- beef rolls: 9/10 - super crispy on the outside and packed with flavor inside. Tastes better when eaten in the restaurant vs to go, but nonetheless, this is a must.- cucumber salad: 8/10- They give you a good amount of cucumber, but my favorite is the light sauce on it. It's not overbearing and it's a great refreshing appetizer for your meal.- golden rolls with condensed milk: 9/10 - my boyfriend introduced me to this and I cannot stop getting it. It's a fried roll (hollow inside) but super light and fluffy that comes with condensed milk on the side. What could go wrong?! It is very busy, so I recommend finding a time where it's not a usual lunch/dinner time or placing to go! It's just as good.

Very good quality Northern Chinese comfort food located in a very competitive food strip mall. Lots of different types of food restaurants to choose from. We decided on 88 Bao Bao as the interior looked modern, simple, and inviting with glass allowing you to look in.A menu is given to you, you mark what you want, bring it to the counter, and they deliver the food to your table. We had: Xiao Long Bao (8 pieces, no broken skins, wish they had bigger spoons, tasty, and hot out of the steamer), Beef Roll (2 long pan fried rolls with a lot of meat and hoisin sauce), Popcorn Chicken (large plate of freshly fried and temperature hot chicken pieces).Food comes out quick and hot.

Great place for soup dumplings, lo mein, cucumber salad and beef wraps. This is my go-to order for a family of 3 and we always have lo mein and beef wraps leftovers. Their chili oil is delicious too so make sure you try that! It's quite small inside the restaurant so big party dinners wouldn't be the best idea. I've dined in and have taken food to-go. Both experiences were enjoyable. Great service too!

OMG I loved this! Food: WOW the soup dumplings were to die for same with the green beans and green onion pancake. I will be back here when I am in town for sure. I think this is my favorite spot for dim sum besides Din tai fungService: service was amazing, there was a miscommunication about the dumplings we ordered and they remade them immediately for us.Ambiance: nothing fancy but perfect for dim sum, it gives hole in the wall but I loved it and it was cle

My first review for 2025! W00t! We recently ordered takeout from 88 Bao Bao in Dublin to treat our friends who came over. The Mrs. and I have noticed the restaurant a few times while visiting Ramen 101 and BBQ 85 but never tried it until now. Glad we finally got the chance. The food tasted great, but the online ordering system was a bit of a hassle. It kept rejecting my transactions, despite trying one credit card twice , and then an alternate. That's a total of 3 times! So I ended up phoning in the order instead. Here are the goodies we tried:- Golden Fried Buns: These were like little Chinese donuts, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Drizzling them with condensed milk made them absolutely irresistible. Almost like glazing your own donut. - Shrimp Dumplings: Essentially a har gao, which was surprising since the place doesn't strike me as Cantonese cuisine. They were solid, dim sum-quality dumplings with no complaints from us.- Beef Rolls: A Yelp favorite, and I can see why! Crispy on the outside, with tender beef and a sweet sauce inside. My only gripe? I wish there had been a little more meat.- Pan-Fried Buns: These seemed to be the most popular item, and they didn't disappoint. Loved the savory soup inside and the perfectly doughy exterior.- Sesame Scallion Pancake: This was fluffy and hearty, though not the thin, crispy scallion pancake I was expecting. Still, it was excellent and a great complement to the meal.As you can see from the pics, we ate some before I could snap any. That's how hungry we were. Overall, it was a fantastic meal, though it's definitely heavy on the carbs. Depending on your diet, that could be a plus or a minus. We'll definitely be coming back to try more.

Great place to get fresh dumplings. So many choices to pick from. Just don't make the mistake we did and wait on our table for someone to take our order. You mark what you want on the menu and walk it up to the counter to pay before you get your food. Food came out fairly fast and everything was made perfectly. Place is nothing fancy and lunch time on the weekends gets pretty busy. Very laid back place.
