A family run food truck by pit master Samual Fletcher. I ordered ahead and picked up: BQ Chicken with creamy Mac & Cheese and String Beans; and BQ Chicken and Sliced Beef Rib Eye Steak with sweet and savory Baked Beans and Potato Salad. Everything is so delicious!Thank you Mr & Mrs Fletcher!

On 10/1 I attended my grandmothers repass after a rough service for my family and I we all expected to attend the repass and enjoy a delicious meal with our family (this is especially important to my family and I because my granny loved food!) to my surprise that is not what 4Family Bar B Que had in store for us! This is by far the worst experience I've ever had with a catering service! Not mention they didn't even try to accommodate us after ruining such an important day for our family!

Didn't think I would enjoy this like I did! At first I thought it was going to be a small amount of food, because the tray it comes in seems smaller than your typical bbq plate. The way they serve it makes it work, and you quickly realize the bang for your buck you're getting. I had greens and mac & cheese, with the ribs on top. It was amazing! The greens were loaded with flavors, ribs falling off the bone, mac was hittin' too! It was really that good! I wasn't expecting flavor like that from this little truck. Will be a repeat customer for sure..

This little food truck is a gem. I walked by hungry at lunch and decided to order. I was recommended to try the Loaded Potatoes (a home skillet of Steak, Potatoes and Vegetables, mixed with an blend of BBQ Sause, Cheese, and Sour Cream). I ordered the chef recommendation and was enamored by the size of the plate given to me. It came in a takeout box that was packed to the roof with goodness. The contents are BOLD with BBQ FLAVOR and are not for people that do not like rich and intense flavor profile meals. The food is great and my portion is enough to share between 2 people or split into 2 meals. Thumbs Up.

They came to an event at Black Repertory Group Theater. I had ordered 3 steak tacos for $5. Not only was it affordable, it was very TASTY!

This place is a find! An "around the way" spot in front of a little store and right next to the barbershop. You might even mistake it as just some folks on the sidewalk cooking up some ribs ... Has maybe one or two tables for outside seating (not really a restaurant though). The brother(s) are doing work on the sidewalk. It's a nice vibe. Friendly people to greet you and the even take credit/debit cardsI am here to tell you that this place is the real deal down home good to to bone barB-cue spot!I really want to give a shout to this spot. It's small, black owned and needs our support. Forget Everrett and Jones ( the one on MacArthur) go here. They're probably friendlier anywayBtw it's not just bar-b-que beef and or pork!! It's links, chicken sirloin and I believe something else I am missing!This is my shout out in the most harmonious way ...

Amazing! Absolutely the best ribs. They certainly don't jip you in portions. And the jojo potatoes are delicious. It's the only rib place for me. A+ for sure.

Tried this local Oakland BBQ Spot. Interesting that they have a food truck for most days and they open up a standing "Sundays Only" location out of a donut shop. The owners seem very down to earth and you can see that they love BBQ and attempting to share that love to everyone. Today I tried the 2 meat plate with ribs and hot links. The portions were decent the ribs had a slight firm bite to it, which always seems nice. Many times I try bbq ribs and they are mushy. The hot links did not spark a dopamine response, but they had decent flavor. They however, did not have any heat to them. Along with the meats, I had a turkey chili which was surprisingly great. The mac salad was better then most I have tried. Needless to say, I would be happy to search for them in the future.

My husband and I ordered food for my moms repass service. I requested Mac n cheese, yams, baked and bbq chicken, beef brisket, and green beans with potatoes. JuWhere do I start?? Now the food was on time, which was the only right thing.Man N Cheese-unseasoned, tasted like noodles and melted cheese.Green Beans- the simplest thing in the world to make, had peppers, and tasted like vinegar was used with no seasoning. They also put some type of cream on op that we had to spoon off. I only requested potatoes! (This should be told to the customer so it can be omitted, not everyone eats that).Yams-not cooked all the way through, no spices added, not sweet!Chicken- the chicken was ok, although some were not cooked all the way through.Beef Brisket- was horrible and chewy. We did speak with Sam the owner and all he could say was "I apologize". Very poor customer! We literally wasted $1200, left the repass and went to Lake Chalet and spent $800 for the family to eat. The next day at the family dinner, that was the talk....how horrible the food was yesterday. This is what happens when you try and support black owned businesses. Needless to say, the repass was ruined.

This is a great business! There should be more reviews but sadly alot of people don't take the time to give feedback. Anyway my husband and I were fortunate enough to experience 4family's delicious foods at an event yesterday. The menu was preset obviously because it was a pre-paid catering event. The BBQ chicken was amazing. It had a smoky flavor and was very tender. The other items were also delicious. Surprisingly my favorite was the yams. I say surprisingly because I normally don't like yams. (Even though as a Black person it seems I would). 4BBQ's yams were not overcooked, and were seasoned well - not salty and not too sweet. In fact nothing was over-salted. Everything was seasoned to perfection but the seasonings allowed the food to speak for itself. I was so impressed when the owner substituted VEGAN Alfredo on my plate when I mentioned that I don't do Mac 'n cheese because of being Lactose intolerant. I learned online that they tailor their food selections to the needs of their client when they cater. The owner is a very nice guy who along with his family donates food to the community on the regular! Very impressed by this small business. Please support it! They have a place at 82 and Hilside. Go now!
