We got here to celebrate a very special birthday on a weeknight. Made a reservation on Resy and it was probably the right choice, seeing that tables were pretty packed. We got a nice cozy table along the wall and started our dinner in due course. The ambiance in the evening is super romantic with the dim lights and such. Fortunately, we had a small iPad with the menu, which we needed in order to see what to order.Originally, we thought we'd only get full with a small and medium item.... but instead decided later to order a proper large item to split between the two of us. Anyhow, here's everything we ordered:1) Tayim cocktail: Pretty solid cocktail. Great presentation2) Lama Lo: This was mine. I personally enjoyed it. Great choice of single malt and the orange dash was perfect3) Spicy Rainbow Moroccan Carrots: This was really good. Nice kick to the carrots. Better presentation.4) Harissa Butternut Squash: We felt this one complemented the carrots pretty well. Again, a nice kick to it too, but also very fresh and the herbs added a zing to it.5) Oyster Mushroom: One of our favorites. After chowing all of this down, we were treated to not one baklava, but TWO as we got the fun birthday celebration with the second one.Price is at Chelsea levels, but the ambiance was so awesome. I highly recommend.

Solid spot for Mediterranean food. The food was pretty good. I especially liked the lamb chops, which were cooked perfectly and the halloumi, with its saltiness offset nicely by a tomato jam. The shawarma lover was also decent, though I did find it a bit overpriced for the portion. It's definitely a vibey spot, with dim lighting and pumping music. Will probably be back!

Zizi is fantastic Mediterranean food. They have two locations in Chelsea and the Upper West Side. I ended up visiting the Chelsea location and was stunned by how good the food was. The service was great, and they were very hospitable. It has a great vibe to the restaurant, and I enjoyed the music that was playing throughout my meal. Here is all the yummy food that I shared:Crazy baba with pitaBurkas BenedictShakshukaTel Aviv Breakfast with poached eggs

This Mediterranean spot is a must-visit! The warm pita bread, creamy hummus, and "crazy baba" were fantastic starters, and the chicken shawarma was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I made it just in time for the 6:30 end of happy hour and enjoyed an $11 martini that was perfectly strong. The menus are displayed on iPads, which was an interesting touch, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Great food, great drinks, and a cozy atmosphere--I'll definitely be back!

In one word: inedible. Between main course and dessert i had 3 bites. I had the over night lamb which absolutely turned my stomach and was revolting after two bites. The salmon i saw at my table was literally gray. To call this food is generous to call it Mediterranean is criminal. I don't know how they are in business. I have had a lot of food in my day and this is absolutely the worst by a mile and i have eaten at a C rated resturant before. Dessert: the chocolate mousse was swimming in the most vile luke warm liquid (i have no idea what it was) and the whipped cream was somehow worst than canned whipped cream? Truly unspeakable. Alcohol was fine felt like the only safe thing to eat. Would never go back. Didn't even bother giving away my left overs because no human should be subject to this crime aganist ingredients.

I came here for dinner on a Wednesday night. I was ten minutes early for my reservation, but they sat me right away. The restaurant has pleasantly low lighting. Not loud at all. Their menus are conveniently displayed on handheld digital tablets. They have two single stall bathrooms located down a flight of stairs near the kitchen. To drink, I had the Harif. It was quite spicy, which I enjoyed, and not overly sweet. The seasoned rim had a slightly sour taste that I didn't care for. The jalapeño in the drink still had the seeds in and definitely brought maximum heat when I ate it, so be warned! To start, we shared the brussel sprouts. These were on the soft roasted side rather than crispy, but they were very well seasoned with chili and parmesan. A nice sweet and savory dish with the maple glaze. For my main, I got the oyster mushroom skewer. It was light and tasty. The mushrooms were drizzled with a flavorful green sauce and nicely complemented by the freekeh, which was similar to wheat berries or farro, but quite tender. Our waitress wasn't the most attentive, but overall it was a good meal.

Atmosphere: 10/10Super great, nice, and efficient waitstaff. We called for a reservation, accidentally made it for outside, and they were able to accommodate a change to the inside. The vibe was super trendy and was perfect for a night out.Food: 10/10Overnight Lamb: 1000/10 Best dish in nyc, maybe even my life. Starting with the bread, it was extremely soft, fluffy, and flavorful. It was the perfect base for the lamb. The lamb was tender, flavorful, and sweet. It was balanced by all of the fresh herbs, which added a nice crispness and freshness to the dish. The pine nuts with the yogurt drizzle added the perfect nuttiness and finish to the dish. - my boyfriend's review We also ordered the Artichokes & Cauliflower dish and Small Z 's (hummus, eggplant, falafel). These were vegetarian friendly and super awesome. The pita was really warm and fluffy, we could've done with a bit more, but that's only cause they were so generous with the dips. The falafel was also perfectly fried and came with a really delicious dip.Overall, would definitely come again, get the lamb and try out more dips!
