I'm writing a time capsule from half a year ago. I just moved to NYC and my buddy wanted to get happy hour at this place. He works at empire so it was pretty close. It definitely had a lot of people inside so was a little wait. The host was super nice and saw I was drenched from the sudden rain. She gave me a bunch of towels to wipe myself off. Drinks and food were incredibly cheap on happy hour.We also got a free keychain for checking in and promising to give a review (here it is 7 months later). This ain't omakase, but it's a great place to get value sushi and drinks!!

One of the pros is their Happy Hour menu which is good everyday from 4-8p. Even thought the sushi pieces are smaller than the ones you order from the really menu, it's a decent deal. I was there yesterday and noticed they have expanded and now also have the second floor. I ordered my usuals and only received two crispy wings (it was three). So I am helping to pay for the expansion and renovation I guess.

Great meal/drinks here! We came on a Wednesday around 6 and the happy hour is amazing and goes until 8! We had ramen (not on hh) but also the hh sushi, chicken wings, shrimp shumai, and gyoza. All were great! We did have to wait for about 20 minutes to be seated, but well worth the wait for the quality and price!

Price + quality for sushi in NYC is unmatched, in my opinion. Especially for their happy hour!This place seems very popular and busy - we called for a reservation in advance and I'm glad we did because our table was the only one open when we went in for dinner. Despite the popularity, our service was fine (I've seen varying reviews on it) - I have no complaints.Everything was just wonderful - if I lived in the area, I'd be a regular. When I'm visiting again, I'll be back!

SERVICE- located near the Macy's on 34th street on a quieter alley- no wait even on a weekend evening- good amount of seating for groups of 2-4- ambiance good for a casual lunch or dinner- tables are a bit tight togetherMENU- wide selection of appetizers, noodles, and sushi- vegan options available- average price ($20 per ramen)FOOD- spicy vegetable udon (7/10): soy based broth with noodles of choice, fried tofu puffs, bok choy, mixed mushrooms, pickled greens, and drizzled with sriracha. The server told us this was a 5/10 spicy so I asked for it to be a 7/10. It felt like they just added extra sriracha to make it more spicy. I liked the mix of toppings, especially the fresh greens and earthy mushrooms. The tofu tasted over fried and had an oily mouthfeel. While the broth was warming, I found it to be a bit too salty. WOULD I GO BACK? Possibly. It was a decent option but did not stand out as the best ramen I have ever had.

A group of us were exploring the city and were craving some ramen. We were in the area and searched "ramen near me" on Google maps, and Zen popped up! We were seated almost immediately at a table in the back. The menu was extensive, and we were pleased to see it was happy hour still (4-8pm). We selected a few sushi rolls and dumplings to share and then each ordered ramen. Special shout out to the spinach noodles! These were so unique and tasty. Everything we ate tasted fresh and so so good. The restaurant was also very clean, and the service was attentive. I highly recommend coming here if you are in the area!
