This very small intimate restaurant was a nice surprise.Luckily snagged a last minute resy for dinner & was not disappointed. The service was good for a place that only seats 12. Food is prepared in front of you & comes out quickly. The roasted potatoes were really delicious, seasoned well &had a nice kick to them. Served really hot & fresh, the shallot mayo complimented this dish really well. The tunakotsu was delicious, packed with flavor, ingredients & tuna tasted fresh. Not overly heavy broth, noodles were cooked perfectly. A pleasant surprise. The okonomi was extremely delicious, a combination of fish & chicken broth. I throughly enjoyed how fresh and delicious this dish was. The only downside is that it came with about 2 pieces of tuna, could have used a couple pieces more.I believe the menu changes daily so don't except any reoccurring options. I would dine here again.

I was very happy to see a reservation pop up for YUJI ramen. The restaurant is very small and they take walk-ins but it seems like they turn away most people by 7 pm. We got the eggplant and the salad appetizers. The eggplant was great - I loved the crunchy bits and the miso. The salad was pretty bitter and while it had orange pieces in it, I didn't think the sweetness from that and the saltiness from the cheese quite balanced out the bitterness of the salad. The ramen was very good but slightly salty. I loved the fish chashu and loved the thin noodles. The noodles were perfectly cooked and had a great bite to them. They also have Dassai Blue ($10 per glass) which went great with the food. I enjoyed my experience and would definitely bring my parents here.

If you like seafood, this is the place to be! Very chic and cozy vibes, the small restaurant does comfortably sit a number of people. Came here on a weeknight and we were sat without a reservation. The Orion beer was very cold and I opted for the karakotsu ramen. Really delicious seafood broth with a great warming and kind of spicy taste. Lots of tonkatsu style tuna in with the noodles and I actually really liked heat and umami. Terrific soft boiled egg as well. If you are a little wary of seafood, probably find a place that does more pork or chicken based dishes because there is a heavy fish presence here but I certainly loved it! I would come back on a cold and rainy night in search of some delicious ramen!

Was excited to check this place out since I hadn't had fish-based broth before. It's a very quaint/small space. Seats 12. It wasn't packed when we went over the weekend but definitely best to make a reservation-we grabbed 2 seats at the bar seating. Started with the roasted potato which I truly did not expect to be that impressed by, but really was. It had such a great texture to the potatoes and the sauce/flavoring/toppings really complemented each other well.Ordered the spicy tuna, which was one of the brothless option. This was done nicely, the noodles were a wonderful texture and the flavor profile was what I was expecting from this dish. Also got the tunakotsu, which was the fish-flavored broth with tuna. This was pretty good, I don't know that I would necessarily need to ever have it again. We grabbed a poached egg on top, which really amplified the flavor. The sake prices were super reasonable and were a nice addition to the meal, as well. Service was quick and not cumbersome at all. Overall, different ramen experience worth trying.

Yuji ramen was on my list to go for a while and I was happy to get a chance to go with my parents and husband for my birthday. You have to make a reservation prior to your visit and reservations open 2 weeks in advance. It's a very small restaurant so a reservation makes sense. We went in and were sat down at a table and were given menus and water. We wanted to order the firefly squid because we had it in Japan before and it was good but the server said there was a misprint in the menu and they don't have it today. Bummer, but good thing we had backups. We asked about the Batara zushi and was told that this was also something the restaurant didn't have today because of supply issues. I feel like if they knew they didn't have these items in stock, they could just cross it off the paper menu for that day or explain that from the get go when we sat down to avoid confusion. We ordered the hotate, two orders of sashimi, two tunakotsu ramen, one okonomi shoyu, and one uni miso. The hotate was fine and refreshing. The scallops were good but it felt overly priced for 2 scallops cut in half. It was 4 pieces served in a small bowl and our server told us to use our spoons and get the scallop and radish and the puree and broth and eat it in one bite. We all sat there and stared at the one bowl and my husband and I had to ask for 4 small plates so that we're not dripping broth everywhere. An order of sashimi is 2 pieces of each fish so we ordered 2 orders. The tuna was good and the amberjack had good flavor. The salmon was definitely not the best out of the three fish. I also noticed that the salmon and amberjack did not have the darker part removed from the fish prior to being served. The darker part is typically cut away and thrown out and not served because it contains the blood of the fish. I understand this isn't a sushi or sashimi restaurant, but it just felt odd. The broth of the okonomi shoyu ramen was really good. It had a nice fish flavor and richness. The tunakotsu ramen was also interesting and the broth had the seared tuna flavor, but wasn't strong enough. The broth felt a little diluted or it could have been stronger. It's a tiny bit spicy. Both ramens had seared tuna that was meaty. The tunakotsu visiblly had more noodles than the shoyu and the tunakotsu noodles were a tad overcooked so there was no bounce. The uni miso is brothless but the flavors are really good. The peanut and miso and Japanese peppers are an addictive combination! The only downside is that the noodles were slightly undercooked so each bite was hard and the noodles could have cooked for 30-60 seconds longer. We also had to ask for water a couple times and I felt bad because the server was busy trying to get everyone their food. Perhaps a better way for a larger party would be to give a pitcher or carafe of water to the table. Overall I would not go back but it was definitely interesting to see different proteins be used as a ramen broth base.

Came with a group of four and got the potatoes and karakotsu. Potatoes were very delicious with roe, mayo, and bonito flakes. Ramen was delicious and nice to see a ramen place with seafood based broths.

With all the hype we've seen on the Internet, we decided to give this place a shot.Cute and cozy ambience, they only had 2 tables and bar front so maximum of 12 seats. We came for dinner so the menu focused more on mazeman and ramen.Staff was pleasant and attentive, gave us tips and recommendations on what to order. We ordered roasted potatoes for appetizer and the ramen for dinner. Both ramen had a very strong fish flavor as I presume the menu focuses alot on fish delicacies. While it was flavorful, probably not one of our favorites. They didn't have a dessert menu which was disappointing. Also towards the end we had to rush (maybe it was an hour seating time?) because they had a party coming in ten minutes that booked the whole place. Didn't get to fully enjoy the dinner.Maybe you will have a different experience? If you love fish of course.

I am a huge seafood lover so I LOVED this fish-based broth ramen place! Their yuzu tuna based broth was light citrusy and flavorful. The sea bream spicy broth was more fishy but very flavorful and just the right kick of spicy! Small space that seats 12 people so would recommend making a reservation. Service was not overwhelming but was quick!

Delicious fish-based broth ramen (at night)! This place serves Japanese breakfast during the day and uses the fish bones from the food for their ramen broth in the evening. This place is SMALL - fits 9-12 people so definitely try to get a reservation if you can!! It usually is booked out and they take walk-ins but it may be for the end of the evening. Limited menu - appetizers, sashimi of the day options, ramen and mazemen (dry/mixed ramen). Everything is DELICIOUS and well-made. The sashimi tasted super fresh. Got the bacon and egg mazemen which seemed popular and the spicy tuna ramen. Loved them both but the bacon and egg mazemen blew me out of the water! It was SO flavorful and didn't taste "dry" without a broth. The noodles were also delicious and I wish we got the larger portion from the get-go. If you want extra noodles later, you can only add it to the ramen, not the mazemen. The tuna was also delicious - broth was SUPER flavorful and fulfilling but I liked the mazemen more. Fish-based broth is definitely a different taste especially if you haven't had it before. Service was great as well and I would highly recommend anyone to go!

Food was a 3.5/5. Service was a mediocre 2/5. Server was rude and nonchalant and answered questions without even looking at us. I got up to ask him a question and without even looking up, he just waved at the bathroom door and said "bathrooms through the door" (this is not what I needed to ask)He was also wearing jeans with what my friends thought was like a pack of cigarettes sticking out of his pocket, a white almost cropped t-shirt that was ripped at the hem, and it just took away from the overall ambiance. Though the food came quick, so this was good, but this is not the treatment what were expecting for a pricier bowl of ramen such as this. We have never tried fish based ramen before so it was definitely unique. Boyfriend got the yuzu based ramen and I got the spicy Karakotsu. Mine was good but his ramen was only okay but my friends and I agreed this was not anything we need to come back for considering the portion versus the price.
