Been wanting to try YUBU for some time. I'm glad I finally got around to swinging by one of their locations. I was a little disappointed at how tiny the shop was (only one tiny table and chairs), but that isn't the most important part. The woman that took our order was nice, the food was delicious, and the drinks were quite nice, too! I was particularly impressed with the dalgona coffee. Be sure to mix it up and let things dissolve, though. That is when the coffee really gets good.

I was looking for a lunch spot in SoHo area, and I found this spot. It is a small Korean casual eatery, and they focus on Yubushobap, which is a Korean style inari sushi. They have a few different box set you can order. You choose the number of Yubu in the box, and then choose the toppings. We went with the YUBU Box of 8. They have total of 14 different toppings, and chose top 4 toppings that we wanted, and ordered two of each. Beef Bulgogi was juicy with sweet beef bulgogi. The bottom part is filled with sushi rice, which is sweet and vinegared rice. It was quite tasty.Spicy Chicken Cheese had a nice kick to it, but not too spicy. Didn't get much cheese flavor, the sauce overpowered it I think.Pork Jaeyook was very similar to the Spicy Chicken Cheese, I wonder if they use the same spicy marinate? It was a bit difficult to distinguish between the two.Salmon (Torched) was really good. Torched just right, moist inside, not dry. It was really tasty. We enjoyed our experience at YUBU. The staff was friendly and efficient. People kept coming in while we were there, seems like a popular spot among the locals. The spicy marinated meats kind of tasted the same, so I would like to try something different the next time.

Most people say this is good for a quick snack but I was fairly full off of my three yubus! It's a small shop with no indoor seating but they do have outdoor seating. Service was quick and at dinner time on a weekday there was no wait. The torched salmon is by far my favorite. The mentaiko was also solid, and the tuna mayo was just as you'd expect.

I stoped by YUBU to try some of their tofu pockets today and they were so tasty! YUBU had several locations, this is from the East Village location (they also have a SoHo location). You can either buy the individual tofu pockets or you can buy sets of 3, 4, 5, or 8. You can order online if you're in a time crunch or you can order inside. I recommend the torched salmon and mushroom bolgogi! But they're all super tasty. Also note, inside there are only 2 seats, so this is definitely best as a to-go place. In terms of tofu pocket flavors, they have: beef bulgogi, pork jaeyook, spicy chicken, spicy mushroom, avocado, crabmeat, salmon, salmon with spicy mayo, torched salmon, spicy tuna mayo, tuna mayo, and a few others. They also have a variety of different matcha drinks as well as some coffee drinks!

Delicious place for a small snack! Their yubuchobap are big and full of flavor. I got a box of 3 with seared salmon, crabmeat, and pork jaeyook. The seared salmon one blew my mind, it was delicious! The salmon was smoky and tender. The pork jaeyook was also very good, warm and savory. I would love to come back to try the other flavors! The place is quite small, with only one small table. The staff are extremely friendly.

Yubu is a small shop in the East Village where you can stop by for a quick snack. There is only one table inside for seating, but service was quick and friendly. The yubuchobap / inari has a good balance of sweetness, with a variety of toppings to choose from. Ordered four and I was stuffed. My favorite was the salmon and spicy crab.

This is perfect if you want a small snack! by the way, the shop has no seating but they do have seating outside! The rice pocket was a good balance of sweetness from the tofu skin and the savory from the filling. The rice was also well seasoned. I ended up ordering:Spicy tuna mayo: (4/5) This one was my favorite out of the two I ordered since it was more flavorful and slightly creamy from the mayo.Torched salmon: (3/5) This one didnt have that much flavor to it aside from the charred flavor. It also tasted kinda dry and I would honestly skip this one

This was so delicious! Definitely an unassuming place as it's a pretty small shop in the east village. I got the spicy tuna, salmon, mushroom bulgogi, and the spicy chicken. I have a decently high spice tolerance and I would say the spice was a good level. My favorite was the spicy chicken. I definitely wish I got the spicy salmon instead of just salmon because I think it needed a sauce or another flavor profile in general. Service was quick. There's no space to eat inside but there is some seating outside on the road.

This small Korean restaurant/cafe offers some incredibly delicious tofu skin filled with rice and topped various topping ranging from crab meat, torched salmon, and bulgogi. I've tried a variety of tofu skin but this location in the East Village is an absolute must-try spot. They offer box sets which I highly recommend so you can try an array of flavors paired with a Korean beverage. I personally like the green grape soda paired with my box of 8 order. My personal top 3 favorites are Crab Meat, Bulgogi, and Torched Salmon. This small spot is beautifully decorated and organized showcasing a variety of drinks and mock sample of the tofu skin box sets. The cashier was attentive and thoroughly explained how each one is made (also you cannot substitute or alternate any item). There are available outdoor seatings so you can enjoy at the spot or take to-go. Overall an ideal spot to try one tofu skin as a small treat or an assortment to have a mini feast with friends or enjoy by yourself. Plus they give you Chupa Chups lollipops as a dessert which I presume to be mostly strawberry flavor
