It was pretty good and I had a pleasant dining for a quick check on its XLB! As a Din Tai Fung XLB lover, I would give the XLB 9 out of 10. Not greasy and the filling is solid. A bit lacking flavor but it is what it is. Will post an update with more dishes when I have another lunch or to go dinner. The service is good and attentive even it's a busy lunchtime.

I was very excited of this knock-off-Din-Tai-Fung menu opening in downtown Manhattan. But it was a very underwhelming dinner.*Garlic Cucumber Salad - huge pieces and under seasoned.*Fried Pork Chop - thin, dry...*Wontons in Chili Oil - wonton filling was very dense*Scallion Pancake Wrapped Beef - dry, cold, missing sauce/seasoning*Soybean Dry Noodles (Zhajiangmian) - not loving the noodle type*Braised Beef Noodle Soup (Half Tendon, Half Meat) - lukewarm, not enough flavor (prob waterdown), beef was okay.*Signature Kurobuta Pork XLB - very thin skin i appreciate that but very light on flavor.*Shrimp and Loofah XLB - I was so excited for this as I could only get in Asia, but it was bland. This has such potential.Hope it gets better.

Brought some family here recently and we had a pleasant time. The food was good and service was quick and friendly. Some of the standout dishes we had included chicken lo mein and spicy wontons in chili oil. The vibe is pretty lowkey making it a good casual meal in the area.

The ambiance is great! The restaurant is very clean and staffs are very friendly and considerate. We have a toddler with us and he offered a lot of things before we asked. The food was great! It doesn't have very strong seasoning so we can taste the original taste from the ingredients.

The absolute best Chinese I have EVER eaten!!! Stir Fry Pepper Beef & Okra was 11/10 absolutely phenomenal! The chicken Lomein was different than what we are used to but it's not heavy and perfectly cooked. The plum Vinegar was sooo tender and perfectly sweet bit not oversweet. The edemame was served cold and that was a nice change, the plum Vinegar matched perfectly. Very kind, attentive and polite. WILL BE ON OUR LIST WHEN WE RETURN FOR SURE!! I can only imagine the other menu items are just as awesome.

I don't know if anything here is fresh. The General Tsao's chicken was stringy and dry and mostly batter. The seaweed salad was like chewing shoelaces. The service was extremely spotty. Now it might be that I'm not familiar with this particular regional food but it was not good.

Cute Chinese fusion restaurant in Financial District selling hot soup dumplings. The quality is very good and everything is made to orderToo bad they only had two types of steamed dumplings and their spicy shrimp wonton is a letdown. Otherwise, a very solid choice in Financial District.

I really liked this cute little restaurant in the Financial District. I am a huge fan of Xiao long bao and was craving some, from the pictures online this looked legitimate so I decided to take a chance in this new-ish restaurant. I'm very impressed with the authentic Xiao long bao. They are perfectly made: thin wrapper, pocket full of hot umami soup when you take the first bite, perfectly seasoned pork with slight sweetness, and served with ginger and vinegar the traditional Chinese way. I ordered some yam with wood ear appetizer and that was very tasty too, very crunchy and a little sour and sweet. I vouch for the authentic tastes at this restaurant based on the dishes I ordered. The complimentary edamame was a nice touch, but not really Chinese... so I think they are trying to appeal to the average American consumer with that. Service was fine, the waiter and the staff were standing around looking bored most of the time because they didn't have much business while I was there. I really hope their business will pick up, because the food is great and this is such a popular area (walkable from Battery Park and from the World Trade Center). I would definitely take my family here when we visit the financial district next time.
