A local chinese spot. I came with a few friends for dim sum and for what you share, you can get decently full for a really cheap price. It is a local spot and a lot of the staff here are immigrants, so ideally its best to speak chinese with them if you can, but you can still manage with speaking English. Service is quick and attentive. Ambiance has a hint of vintage to it but authentic Chinese atmosphere. A lot of locals from the chinatown area do come here and you can tell with how a lot of people are speaking in their mother tongue. The staff may not be perceived as the friendliest but don't take it personally, they just want to make sure you get what you want. Try to know what you want ahead of time if you can.

Chinatown restaurants are so underrated. This is a cool pace to try HK style food. I had their chicken wings and was pretty good but their pan-fried chicken dumplings were really nice. Tasted home made. Service was average foe Chinese restaurant but live the decor. The place is definitely bigger than its appearance from outside. Can't wait to come back to try other dishes.

Food was great but they add 18% tip automatically and they do so on top of tax. YOU DO NOT TIP ON TAX, its shameful that the owners would do this. The

Service was quick and good. Waitstaff was attentive, explanatory and patient with us since we were indecisive. Certain dishes lacked flavor (chicken feet, dumplings) but others were flavorful and a bit on the salty side. As you can see from the pictures, there were plenty of pages to the menu; the menu is also plastered as decor all over the restaurant.

Not the best customer service but that's an Asian restaurant for you. The chow fun was really good. Beware of the 18% tip they add to your total, we didn't notice it until we paid.

If you're not getting the dumplings here, you're not getting the full experience! The dumplings that once made me salivate without even tasting them yet got me revisiting XO Taste for lunch one day. We were hit with a ton of menus upon sitting. With pictures, solely words, or specials, there's bound to be a menu to suit your needs. The store accepts credit cards so long as the meal is over $25.The Beef Chow Fun ($15.95) was not it. It was pricey for mediocre BLAND noodles. It did not have enough wok hay, or stir fry taste. The beef was also really dry.The Baked Seafood and Pork Chop w/ Cheese Over Spaghetti in Casserole ($11.95) was also very bland. The sauce from the pork chop had more flavor, although the pork chop was pretty much inedible from how tough it was to bite on. Not bad though for a singular dish that lets you experience both cheesy and tomatoey. Not so surprisingly, our Pan Fried Japanese Dumplings ($7.95) appetizer actually came last. Best for last! They still smelled and tasted as good as I last remembered them. A pork dumpling that's also jam packed with shrimp and then bathed in soy sauce, they just can't get rid of these money makers. Overall, XO Taste is a solid quick eats place for the blander palettes. Given their abundant options, XO unfortunately doesn't specialize in any one dish. Except their dumplings!

I wanted to like this place but it throw me off by adding 18% gratuities to the bill especially from a restaurant in Chinatown. Normally, there's discount if paying by cash. This time, it was just 2 of us plus a toddler. They put 18% tip automatically. We put down the exact amount in cash and decided not coming back here ever again. The food was okay because the noodle dish was too salty.

Like previous reviews say - DO NOT EAT HERE!! We used to come here once in a while for some soup and basic Chinese food until ..... One of the kitchen stuff / cook, went into the bathroom, flashed the toilet, didn't wash his hands inside either - because it was flush and door was open... walked out pass me and all the sinks (located also outside of the bathroom) without washing his hands. His job - as I noticed walking out was making some dumplings or wantons with his bare hands. I nearly vomited. We noticed our food was also not up to the usual standard, just tasted old or reheated... just not fresh at all. We won't be going back.

I was very hungry in Chinatown and saw this asian restaurant while I was walking down the street. Although the Health department check was pending, I decided to still give it a try. Ordered dumplings and as I ate them, I noticed a non chewable piece. I spat it out and can you guess what it was? A piece of plastic! This ruined my whole day and now I can't even eat my food without thinking about that one piece of plastic in my salty dumplings.

DO NOT COME HERE!! Ordered their Tom yum Thai style noodles and noticed that the egg was moldy!!!The waitress offered to swap the egg but we declined because we've lost our appetite. When the bill came, they didn't offer to cancel the order with the moldy egg or offered any compensation. Usually, 18% gratuity is included which is already eh but apparently it wasn't this time. We then got asked to pay for tip TWICE as we were leaving.Might even be sick after eating. This is insane!!
