Look at how silky that rice noodle. You can taste how soft, but not overcooked.

I have been looking for the best rice rolls since the closure of Hak Box (closed down during pandemic). That heart break is real. It was the best rice rolls. I had eaten there so many times. But heart is definitely amended tonight. I went to that TikTok location for BBQ take out, it was insane - everyone was in line. TikTok is powerful. But I'm very glad that I did not wait. Started to wander about instead of the BBQ take out place, and I've stumbled onto this new rice roll joint. It was excellent. I ordered 6 different kinds. Absolutely heavenly! Super chewy soft tasty and filled with freshness. This is by far the best I have ever had.To note, I'm a rice roll snob. I have been to the Michelin recommended rice roll place in Singapore a few times and this is still the best.I am excited to say after a year and half gap of looking for rice roll, this place is it for me.I'll be back!

Stopped by on Thanksgiving Day for some delicious, delicious shrimp rice roll. The store is a typical small joint, walk in, order and take it to go or enjoy sitting across from the kitchen. There's a ledge with bar stools that you can sit and enjoy a quick bite, but then, keep it movin' because it's a tight squeeze in there. The fixin's can be found on the ledge and of course, help yourself to as much as you'd like. The real treat is that you get to watch the crew make the rice roll. It's a skilled art and so cool to watch. After the show, the rice roll of your choice is done and you get to enjoy. They keep it simple here and therefore, they keep it delicious - they do one thing and they do it well. Cash only.

After taking care of some errands, I decided to come here for a quick meal. I was nearby and their review looked great so I gave them a shot. The joint is small. Only seat about 6 people max and the wait was a bit longer then I'm use too but when I received my order, I knew why. I ordered their fresh shrimp noodles and added extra corn. I also ordered their dried shrimp noodle and added extra cilantro. Both order was $7 dollar each. The noodles are made fresh to order and the portion is good. I was really impressed how al dente the noodles was and it wasn't super oily. Overall, I enjoyed it a lot and with their hot sauce oil, it kicked my dish up a notch. With that said, I definitely see myself coming back here as I'm confident it will hit the spot again.

Probably top two rice roll spots in Manhattan Chinatown for me. Insanely long wait on the weekend with few seats inside - just order at the counter and come back afterwards. Tried beef with Cilantro and shrimp - good and light seasoning, and rice roll texture tasted on point. Pricing on par with other spots considering the larger portions.

I've come here three weeks in a row for their shrimp rice roll. The space is small and a bit cramped, but does not stop me from eating there! Love watching the guy make the rice rolls fresh. This place is my #1 rice roll spot at the moment! Texture is perfection, shrimp seasoning is perfection. Make sure to bring cash!

Wow! I've never even heard about Rice Rolls but saw this place recommended on an Instagram reel when researching places to eat for our NYC trip in December. We planned to spend one afternoon doing a Chinatown food crawl and try out a couple of different viral places. This was our second stop. There was a line & wait- even though it was SO COLD! I did enjoy watching the process of making the rice rolls and getting to see the different options so we were ready to order when our turn came. This rice roll was so good and my favorite of our Chinatown food stops. Highly recommend!

I'm OBSESSED with their shrimp rice roll... so thin, light and full of flavor. We had to wait around 15 minutes but honestly I would wait however long to get this dish. Add the house sauce (similar to soy sauce) and chili sauce. This is def up in my list of best things I've tried!

My favorite new rice roll place: they are handmade in front of you and the texture of the rice roll is so thin but chewy with great bite and perfectly steamed. It is just unlike any other place. I always get shrimp which are nice and juicy. Tiny place that just takes cash but well worth it!

West Rice Roll King is a super great spot to grab absolutely fresh rice rolls in Chinatown! Although I've been a fan of across Chinatown Tonii's on Bayard, West Rice Roll King has a few advantages: (1) what I ordered was a tad less expensive (although unsure if the portions were different); (2) you can watch your steamed rice roll being prepared from scratch, with the batter poured and fillings added, through the plexiglass; plus (3) they have a narrow counter for you to eat right there! That being said, there are only 2 sauces provided with your order compared to a few with Tonii's delicious satay sauce. Also, be sure to request scallions or other toppings, if you'd like them on your steamed rice roll.My order, the fresh shrimp rice roll, was something I enjoyed and gobbled down on the spot! When on that side of Chinatown, will definitely stop by West Rice Roll King again!
