Three different appetites. Three happy campers. I took my parents here for a random special night out. I'm more into chicken, my mom prefers fish, and my dad "goes to steakhouses for the steak for two." So it's often difficult to find a nice place with good food for all of us.Vinyl did not disappoint. Three completely different meals, with three wildly different sides (broccolini, potatoes, onion rings), came out perfectly at the same time. And they were all fantastic. My mom: I couldn't even finish my vegetables because the salmon was so good. My dad: The steak was just what I wanted. I'm not sharing the quinoa rings. Me: This chicken parm is on a different level. Short story, the guys at Vinyl know what they are doing. Special shout out to Christian (our server) who was so patient with my elderly parents and so attentive. He was on top of his game and was able to spin on a dime to offer great recommendations to three totally different diners. But seriously. We had the best time and the best food. This place is a welcoming, unpretentious, hip, steakhouse and it's in the right spot. If you want guys in tuxes in a stuffy spot, go to the corporate steakhouses north in Times Square or south in FiDi. If you want amazing food, in a unique, dynamic, and artsy, environment, here's the place.

This is my ideal steakhouse -- great food that feels both comforting and modern in a chill, non-pretentious atmosphere. The filet was well seasoned and cooked to the requested medium rare. The roasted broccolini was charred just enough to soften its texture and had a great balance of flavors with hints of citrus, a touch of spice and sweetness. The truffle mac and cheese was classic comfort food, large enough to share. For dessert, the key lime mousse was excellent. Smooth, creamy and tart with plenty of graham cracker crust layered in glassware. Hearing Bowie and Velvet Underground playing overhead throughout dinner was the cherry on top to an exceptional experience and the perfect way to end my trip to New York.

Cozy and warm with hundreds of vinyl records displayed and played as your food is served! Our servers were great, and we got to pick a song from the collection as we had a birthday celebration. The steaks were cooked perfectly!

What a great place!! The vibes were so great with walls covered with shelves upon shelves of records. Vinyls were always playing great music. The food was also very good! We loved everything we got. The crispy sushi and short rib potstickers were great to start! We then got the New York Strip and shared it between the 2 of us. For sides we got the Mac and cheese, green beans, and creamed spinach. Surprisingly, our favorite had to be the green beans which were covered in Parmesan and onions and had a savory sauce on them. My favorite thing of the night tbh. Finally we got the crème brûlée and I CLEANED that plate. Everything was so good!! Very good for a date spot

I've had better steaks, but overall I enjoyed my experience and would recommend checking out, especially since it's so different from other traditional steakhouses (which adds to the charm!) Ambiance / Service: definitely laid back, chill vibes - they play rock music. Definitely not your typical steakhouse, which I enjoyed. However, it's still nice - candles, cloth napkins, etc. You could definitely do a nice date night here. Service was phenomenal. Big shoutout to our male server with glasses! Food: like I said, not the best steak I've had. I thought it was very under seasoned, but I still enjoyed the meal. I ordered:-Vinyl Wedge: this was good. I would order again. They automatically split in 2 which was nice. -Crispy Sushi: comes with 6. I love crispy rice and this hit the spot. -NY Strip 14 oz: good size. Very under seasoned and a little chewy, but it may have been an off night. I got it with the cognac peppercorn sauce and I think I would get a different sauce next time. It was a bit too creamy for me. -Loaded Potato Pave: this was good. I would order again. It's almost like a potato lasagna.-Creamed Spinach Carbonara: good flavor, but I think I should've asked for no egg yolk. Just a personal preference.

Celebrating my daughter's new apartment and first day of Spring Break and wanted to find somewhere that she and her friend would enjoy. They love albums and Vinyl looked perfect. It was.We arrived early and enjoyed Zapata Rum old fashions at the bar. Bar service and cocktails are 5/5.Music and ambiance is real solid. Spinning what the guests request. The hosts are the ones that operate the turntables and it is a really cool setup. We split the 28 oz "dry aged" porterhouse. My daughter had the filet. Filet was good. Fries and Mac were too. For $150 the porterhouse was average. The bone butter was eh. Bottle of 21 Honig. This would have been 5/5, if "dry aged" steak was appropriate quality for $150. Next time I will get the standard NY strip for $59 and might bump this up to 5/5. I love legit dry aged prepared well and for us a big splurge, maybe one or two times a year. I think it should blow your mind for $150. This was like a $75 - $85 steak IMO.

What a fantastic end to our trip to NYC to drop our youngest off at college. Great concept with the records. They brought out a tablet loaded with choices of records we could request to be played. They play a side at a time and I bopped along to the music the whole time we were there. Food always tastes better with good music playing in the background! Beyond that fun and the great music being played, the actual food was amazing! We both had the 8 oz filets and they were seasoned and cooked to perfection. I like horseradish with my steak and they had the uncreamy, straight horseradish which I prefer. The loaded potato was actually a casserole and was super yummy. The broccolini would make a toddler ask for seconds. Our server was attentive and all the rest of the staff was as well. Could not have been happier to find this place! It was a great date night and meal. The only suggestion I would have for them is to include smaller cuts for this of us who can't choke down 14 oz of steak! That was the smallest portioned steak other than the filets on their shared meal list. If we lived there, it would've made a good leftover steak sandwich! The 8oz filet was the smallest choice (albeit the only smaller choice) so that's what we went with and it was perfect size for one person. It would be good to have a few other smaller portions of the different cuts. When we come back to the city to visit our daughter, we are definitely bringing her to Vinyl! It's special. Thanks for a great night!

Wow! What a night! Every bite was off the chain. Love their atmosphere, dimmed lights and awesome tunes off some stellar old vinyl tracks. A bit pricey, but worth every penny (dollar). Definitely eating here again! Thanks, Vinyl!
