I remember biting into a white slice from Village Square pizza back in 2022 and being absolutely mesmerized. Recently while on a train back from Albany I was stuffed in the car with several students yapping endlessly about all the pizza and food they're going to eat once they get to New York, and all that discourse got me feeling super hungry. I walked out of penn station to this old beloved gem, this time I asked for mushrooms on top. This location is pretty much a little hole in the wall with standing room only. Best to take your slice to go. They do have the essentials like toppings and napkins. Service was fast. I didn't think the topping of mushrooms would be this ginormous. It also felt like they came out of a can?? I would've liked fresh mushrooms and peeps less of them. The slice was still amazing though, but I think toppings should be made in house and added in sensible quantities.

The place looks clean but it's small. There are no sit down but there is a small section to stand and eat your slice. This is typically a grab and go spot. There are a variety of pizza to choose from that are already made. I chose two slices - pepperoni and pepperoni/sausage slices. The good about these slices is that the pizza has a nice crunch on the bottom, it is not burnt but has that nice crispiness. There are plenty of sauce to cover the slice and generous amount on the pepperoni on the pepperoni slice. On the contrary, the pepperoni/sausage slice was lacking the pepperonis. The bad about these slices is that it is SUPER SALTY for some reason! I don't know if they mix up the sugar for the salt or was it the parmesan cheese they have added to the pepperonis... but damn I needed a whole glass of water right after.

Hidden gem for pizza in Midtown! They have a couple of other locations in the city. Definitely better than the overhyped Prince Street. This is square shaped pizza with a thinner crust (different from the dollar slice places on every corner in the city). Pizza: You can order by slice or pie. I recommend ordering a few different flavors to try! They are quite filling though. I think next time I would order at least one veggie because we went really meat heavy this time. Pepperoni: Get the hot honey drizzled on top! It really adds a nice twist to the classic pepperoni. I love that they use the small pepperoni and really stuff as many as they can on top, so every bite has some. Sausage and Peppers: This was another great one if you're a fan of this classic combination! Sausage and Pepperoni: If you're a meat lover, then this one is for you! I wish we had put the hot honey on this one to see what it would taste like...Buffalo Chicken: This was my least favorite of the three because I like my buffalo chicken to have a lot of sauce on it. Service/Ambiance: Looked like just one guy working there when we came, but the pizza was warmed up quickly! Their midtown location is a little neighborhood spot. No sit down area available, but you can stand and eat at the counter top.Overall: Want to go back to try the eggplant one!

Pizza here is soooo good, especially when they just make the pies. My go-to's are the grandma slice and the pepperoni. I also ordered pizza pie here for parties and it's always loved by everyone!

Perfectly passable thick crust slice. I found it a bit dry in both the dough and a lack of sauce. Better than all the 99-cent value spots around, but I'd stick to old reliable Joe's. Completely bright and florescent inside, this is a place you slam a slice down and keep walking.
