The service was excellent at dinner, with waiters attentive to our needs and cognizant of refilling water which was appreciated. The food was also very good:Calamari: 4/5 served with garlic chips and cabbage which was a little too much but the calamari itself was fresh and not greasyXiao long bao: 5/5 Half Peking duck: 3/5 great portion and the skin was extra crispy however it was really really greasySesame chicken: 5/5 probably one of the best sesame chicken I've ever had - it was fresh and crispy and the sauce was not covered with sugar like most placesLychee peach tini: 5/5

Wonderful new Asian cuisine restaurant in Tribeca! Had not heard much about it but had walked by it a few times and decided to give it a try. We went on a Saturday evening and even though it had opened only recently, the restaurant was busy and lively. We started with the Shanghai Pork Wonton and the Chicken Egg Corn Soups - both were very good and really hit the spot on a relatively cool evening. We also had the King Salmon Tartar as an appetizer and it was excellent. For our mains, we had the Pan-Seared Foie Gras, Walnut Prawns and Foie Gras Fried Rice - all nicely prepared and presented and all terrific. The only issue we had was that there were too many dishes we wanted to try - will have to come back.John our server was very helpful and friendly as was the rest of the staff. The restaurant is nicely decorated with a lively, classy feel.Highly recommend!

Solid new Asian spot in TriBeCa although a little pricey for what you get. Appreciate that there's some more modern twists on Chinese classics. We really enjoyed the soup dumplings and the truffle fried rice. Also recommend the mapo tofu lunar new year special

Upon the Palace is a great new Asian restaurant in Tribeca. The space is beautiful and the service is very good. Their cocktails are also excellent with a decent wine list. The sushi is good. Although it is high quality and well done, it is nothing special given the amazing sushi options in the area. The Chinese food is truly outstanding, creative and delicious.

Food was good overall. Service was an issue. Was rushed to order immediately. Then took 20+ min for martinis. Sushi very fresh but was falling apart. Rest of food was ok but nothing special - a bit disappointed because it is a beautiful restaurant and has potential to be great

I live across the street and noticed that this opened recently. Finally decided to try it on Sunday night and I was not disappointed. The ambiance is great and they have a nice little bar area. The food is definitely the star of the show, there is a wide menu which makes ordering fun and means you can get a little bit of everything. We got the soup dumplings, hero roll, half Peking duck, and foie gras fried rice. Everything was amazing. The service was definitely a bit slow but I imagine they are still working through some kinks. Overall we will definitely be back!

have given this restaurant a try 3x and that was enough. The sesame shrimp has batter that makes the shrimp look bigger, but the dish is tasteless... It comes with 2 tiny pieces of broccoli and the chicken lo mein has virtually no chicken in it. The spring rolls are not crisp and flavorless.. the bill was $81

Great new addition to the Tribeca restaurant scene! The atmosphere Saturday night was lively and crowded, but never felt overwhelmingly loud. The staff was friendly and accommodating to our specific seating requirements. The pork dumplings were standard, but the half Peking duck was crispy and flavorful and the seafood pan-fried noodles came with lots of delicious shrimp and squid. The standout dish was the Lunar New Year Special of the mapo tofu with filet mignon - WOW! Absolutely delicious with the perfect amount of spice. I hope this becomes a menu staple.
