Up Thai is AMAZING!! Easily one of my favorite Thai restaurants in NYC! It's a trendy, yet cozy spot that serves DELICIOUS food. I ordered the Kua Gai (ordered without the egg and substituted with mock duck) and it was sooo good. The noodles were so flavorful, the "duck" was an actually enjoyable seitan, and the side of hot sauce tied the dish together. The portions were generous and satisfying. Definitely an authentic flavor. It was a Friday night, so this place was packed with both people trying to dine-in and pick up their take-out orders. It was about a ~30 min wait time to be seated at the bar. It's typical for a NYC restaurant. The staff was super attentive, speedy without making one feel rushed, and made sure to ask of any dietary restrictions. This place is absolutely delicious and suitable for everyone. They are also super accommodating with altering dishes to fit your needs. I love Up Thai and can't wait to return :)

Up Thai has delicious Thai food. I came here for lunch and ordered their pad Thai with chicken and it was phenomenal. I liked their vegetable soup and chicken and shrimp dumplings. The service was great and attentive. I wasn't rushed whatsoever and I didn't feel like they were constantly checking in.I would definitely recommend coming here for some delicious food. Up Thai is a busy restaurant with people dining in and ordering takeout and delivery. 10/10 Thai restaurant recommendationThe ambiance felt chill since it was lunch time but I have walked by when there are people waiting for seating outside the restaurant it's a popular busy restaurant and rightfully so since the food is superb!

Oh my goodness. This place has made my personal Top 5 Restaurants of All Time list. From the food to the service, Up Thai is EXCEPTIONAL!FOOD:I ordered the Thai-herbed Wings to start and they were incredible - flavorful and unique! The Pad Thai didn't blow me out of the water, but it was still satisfactory. The Curry (pictured) was what blew me away. I forgot the exact name of the dish (maybe Similan), but I believe it was the chef's recommendation. The flavors were FLAVORING, the roti was crispy yet soft, and the portion was great. We also ordered the fried rice & meat dish pictured that was a fan favorite at my table. Lastly, the Taro Sticky Rice dessert... DELICIOUS! I'm not usually the biggest taro fan, but I had to admit that this dessert was light and perfect without being too sweet. SERVICE/AMBIENCE:The interior was really cool & dimly lit at night. It was lively and all servers were very attentive. Our server, Ome made our experience over-the-top. He cleaned up every minor spill he saw on our table and was constantly checking in. He was probably the best server I've ever had at a restaurant, ever. Overall, I will 100% be back here when I return to New York. We came for a friends birthday on a Friday night. This place was full to a brim so be sure to make a reservation ahead of time. We showed up about 10 minutes after our reservation time but we were lucky that they still had the table available for us (they informed us they were about to give it to a different group shortly). The staff there was very kind and flexible. One group member informed a waiter about our friends birthday and they provided a complementary cheesecake (which was fantastic).Our food was out and ready within 15ish minutes was quite fast. I ordered the similian curry special and I thought it was fantastic. Portions are large and all party members were happy with the amount. One of my favorite thai food dishes in NYC and based on how my friends described their meals I look forward to trying more items on the menu. The ambience is quite packed. Quite the crowd and nearly every seat was taken. There are 3 bathrooms that are all quite clean (one on the main floor, 2 downstairs). Nice and flexible service, surprisingly large crowd, and great food. I look forward to coming back at some point and trying more items on the menu.

I love Thai food and now i love Up Thai. For our tiny table I packed it with ordering what seemed like something from every segment of the menu. But it was well worth the stomachache. The only thing i didnt enjoy is what I believe was the taro sticky rice and coconut ice cream. I was told the mango one is divine so hopefully i can get it when it is in season on my next visit.

The staff are consistently friendly, always greet you with a smile, and even make a point to wish you a nice day as you leave--a small but thoughtful touch that leaves a lasting impression.The food and wine menus are extensive, offering something for everyone, along with enticing drink and food specials that are sure to satisfy your cravings. One of the best parts is how quickly they manage to serve your meal without compromising quality.This was my second time dining at Up Thai, and it certainly won't be my last. Had dinner here last night and it was very good. Would definitely return and recommend to others. We ordered the crepe dumplings (even though we didn't know what they were but they had a thumbs up next to it on the menu meaning recommended), chicken satay, chicken pad thai and the basil stir fry with tofu (medium heat which was the perfect amount of heat). Everything was delicious. Chicken satay was just okay in my opinion though. The service was prompt and they were very attentive to our requests and drinks. I didn't like how close the seating was. They also still have the covid screens up between the tables. Personally, too many people in one location. Almost a fire hazard in my opinion. Like if there was an emergency ppl would def cause a ruckus. Not much space in between tables to get by, my bottom was definitely grazing tables as our neighbors enjoyed their noodles. They were on top of us at after we closed the tab. Overall, the experience felt a bit rushed. Our main courses arrived shortly after our appetizers so we didn't get to enjoy them. Tables are small so don't understand why they thought it was a good idea to bring everything so quickly. Imagine two appetizers, two entrees, two small plates for sharing and drinks?! CRAMPED TABLE. It was Saturday night so they had tons of folks waiting outside which is great and indicative of how good their food is but don't forget about the customer experience.
