This may not offer the most upscale environment compared to other omakase spots in the city, but the value, service, and experience are outstanding. Every course was well-seasoned and truly unique, with highlights included the Shirako stew, monkfish liver, Kanpachi, Otoro, Hotate, Uni, and more. We visited during their anniversary promo, which included free sake and additional nigiri course at the end, making an already fantastic meal even better in terms of value.

This omakase place was really good. I am a fan of regular, high grade quality sushi and not over doing it on the toppings or the foie gra. This place delivered exactly that. Amazing and fresh pieces of fish, each serving more delicious than the last. On the day we happened to go, there was $120/pp special which included free sake and a few unlimited options. $120 is steep but for the amount of food we received, I think it was well worth it. Only thing I wasn't crazy about was the appetizers which included a mushroom soup and a liver dish. They were good but not something I would gravitate towards. Highly recommend checking this place out!!Place was really nice and had about 10 seats. Chef shared details about each dish and was accommodating for our needs.

We will not be returning. The fish did not taste fresh AT ALL. All these good reviews are either fake or those people never had decent omakase before. Every single piece tasted like defrosted fish / freezer-burned fish / bad fishy smell taste that lingers. Every food was served ice cold. This is not authentic Japanese sushi. Not worth the money. That seaweed salad is just water soaked wakame seaweed with Kewpie sesame dressing. I could make that at home but I won't because it tasted foul.

This place has decent omakase for a decent price ($120/pp). Omakase for 2, a bottle of sake, and 2 Sapporo beers came out to $360, including tax and tip. The sushi chef is very nice and explains what each piece is as it's served. The service is great overall. I wasn't a particular fan of the fish liver which were unfortunately 2 of the 16 pieces served.

"Unique" is a bit of a misnomer. More like "less commonplace than all the other boring Edomae omakase spots". See also: Sushi chef is Chinese. Is that unique?Anyway, this is one of the more affordable options in the city for 15 courses ngiri and small apps. $85 will nab you some fun dishes like shrimp in shell with uni and seasoned seaweed. But the main reason to come here? Your birthday. We did a group birthday dinner here (3 out of 4 of us had May birthdays) and were surprised with not one but two generous dishes of birthday sashimi and rice--for free! And those were some pretty generous cuts of salmon, tuna and yellowtail. Me like free.

I came here to enjoy omakase. There was a party in which the people were drunk and somehow affecting my experience. The chef gave me a free course and added more uni (sea urchin) to the courses which I enjoyed a lot.I'd definitely come back to this place.

I am SO impressed with this place! This is very worth the price. Very unique in NYC, and I have had quite a few omakase places! We made reservations here day of a few hours before while wandering around NYC and it was such a happy surprise. A few pros- 15 courses!!!!! VERY GENEROUS. I remember being at course 7, and I could not believe we weren't even half way over. It was insane. And the portions were HUGE. - No time rush. Usually cheaper omakase places are like 60 or 90 minutes and you feel like you are heaving down all the food. It makes it more about eating than actually enjoying the company and time. I LOVED this one. We ended up being there for close to 2.5hours. It was nice getting to spend time and chat with the people I came with.- Very intimate setting. Not a big restaurant! I say there was 10 to 12 people at the bar max. ANYWAYS, in general I am a huge huge fan of this place and I will be coming back! I'm almost kind of sad to be leaving a review, bc I think this place will blow up and be annoying hard to get reservations.

Made a reservation for Tues. at 7:30pm for 2 and we were the only people dining there the entire time. Maybe we went on an off day but they had to substitute a couple of the pieces with different fishes since they were out. That was disappointing. The pieces are more creative than the traditional omakase spots. We also got the Sexy Mac as an add on and it was a really good rich mouthful, worth the $26.Overall, I had high expectations since I was recommended this place but my experience was a little different than my friend's and I was left feeling like something was missing. However, 15 pieces for $85 is definitely a steal since other places nearby are charging more for less. I would recommend coming on the weekend when they have done most of the prep for their busy days and perhaps all the fishes will be in stock.

This place doesn't look like very much and you can walk right past it. They've only been open for 2 months. Currently it's BYOB since they are still awaiting their liquor license. It's best to make reservations since it's a relatively small restaurant. For $85 and 15 pieces it's a good deal and compatible to other omakase places in the neighborhood. The chef was catering about 6 of us at a time. They were very consistent with the tea and water were served and the cups were never empty. Service was very good. I look forward to the next time I'm back.

I will say this omakase lives up to its name, it is unique (in a good way)! For $85 you get 15 courses and I will say it is well worth the price. I was excited and engaged in each course because not all were traditional nigiri. There were composed sashimi bites and a miso soup (on the house) course integrated in the omakase, which was a nice respite and all so complex and perfectly timed. Atmosphere was modern and service was impeccable. Definitely check out this spot especially to those looking for a stray from a traditional omakase!
