We stopped by for their lunch specials. There wasn't much of a lunch crowd here as their lunch specials are dine in only. The lighting inside their main dining area was a bit dim but I liked that there were coat hooks near each table. The theming of the restaurant was really nice, it felt on par with themed restaurants I've visited at Universal/Disney. I got the bulgogi and my brother tried the boneless fried chicken breast with soy garlic sauce. Both came with salad and rice. The portions were very generous and we both left fulling full! The chicken wasn't as crunchy as I had hoped but the flavor was good and it was really tender and juicy. The beef was nicely seasoned and tasted like your typical bulgogi. Overall it's a pretty good deal if you're looking for lunch in the Midtown area. The plastic cups could use a bit more TLC as quite a few of them were chipped (which I guess you can't really tell with the dim lighting).

You Turn Me Right Round Baby Right Round...If you're in search of a dining experience that hits all the right notes, this jazz-themed Korean eatery is a must-visit. From the moment you step in, the warm lighting and the soulful tunes of jazz transport you to a cozy yet sophisticated space. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between relaxed and upscale, making it ideal for both casual dinners and special occasions. Now, let's talk about the star of the show--the food! Their fried chicken is delicious. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned with just the right kick, it's the kind of dish you'll be thinking about long after your meal. They also offer a curated drink menu that features craft cocktails which complement the food beautifully. But what truly sets this place apart is the vibe. The playlist keeps the atmosphere lively yet laid-back.Will definitely pre-game here again!

Solid time at Turntable Chicken Jazz! They also have another location nearby called Turntable Chicken Rock. One location plays all jazz and one rock which is a funny concept. I never knew it existed until my friend suggested for a dinner with our other friend. We stopped by after work on a Thursday. It wasn't busy and we were seated quickly. I had the Fresh Cucumber Martini that was refreshing but small (served in a martini cup) which sucks because it was yummy! My friend ordered the Twister and fried rice and the other ordered Miso Ramen. We all picked at her Twister because she raved about how good it was and it was delicious! It's just potato on a stick drenched in parm cheese, spicy mayo, and ketchup. I could've finished it all myself. She said she always orders that and the rice because it's good. My other friend finished all of her ramen so I'm guessing she liked it. I got the Bulgogi platter and I thought it'd be too small to be full but it was a deep dish and packed to the brim. It was the perfect portion size. Very flavorful. I also really like the decor. Very old school and nostalgic.

I liked the vibes of TCJ - the decor was cool and the music was fun. We got the kimchi pancake to split and I ordered the chicken fried rice. The kimchi pancake was good, and the chicken fried rice was kinda bland. Our waitress was nice, but it took quite some time to get the check.

Fun spot to hang with large groups - good for bigger parties / celebrations as a dinner before karaoke or going out in K-town. As you may guess from their name, chicken is their specialty, but even so it's only just decent and all the other food was a bit of a miss. My friend described the cheesy corn as "soapy" and the kimchi pancake as "stretchy", which we all felt were pretty accurate labels for both. For chicken, we got a combo with soy garlic and spicy, and the flavors were pretty similar. My spice tolerance is pretty low and even I felt the spicy was quite mild.Drinks however were pretty decent! We got peach bombs and lots of "soju cocktails" which were very similar to regular flavored soju. Do keep in mind that all the drinks feel very very weak, but they have a fun variety of options that are all quite tasty. We also saw others order this vessel with lots of smoke as we were leaving which looked like such a fun drink! In terms of service, they were good at keeping to our reservation and booking us a nice spot (vs. squishing people in as some people do); however, they aren't the most attentive (not enough sets / cups), slow service generally, which is fine for a larger group, but not as nice if you're expecting regular service.

I came here for lunch after watching a movie nearby with a group of 4 people. I'm always down for KFC (Korean fried chicken), not the Kentucky kind haha. We ordered the truffle fries, the seafood pancake, and the large size Korean fried chicken (half and half, soy garlic and spicy). I liked the atmosphere, very retro and rustic. They're known for their Korean fried chicken and it seems to be the best dish to get here. It was actually spicy and soy garlic was pretty flavorful as well. The seafood pancake barely had any seafood so would pass on it. The fries were okay, not very crispy though. If you're craving KFC, it's a solid choice.

A cool bar for the music lover.Turntable Chicken Jazz is a bar dedicated to good music and good service. Every inch of this bar is filled with vinyl records and music memorabilia. If I could, I'd spend ours exploring their selection of antique music, but I'll gladly settle for a nice drink while listening to fantastic music and watching retro TV screens playing black and white musical performances from days past.Drinks are a standard mix of beers, wines, shots, cocktails, and liquors. Prices are what I'd call "NYC fair" and you can't do much better for what's available in the area. Our servers and bartender were quick and attentive. Whenever myself or a friend needed a refill, within seconds, someone was there to take our next order. We came in early on a Saturday night, before the dinner rush, so that might have helped, but it was still appreciated. Unfortunately, I didn't sample their food, but it's something I'll look out for in the future. If you like easy listening and a hard drink, Turntable is the ideal blend for you.

Love the ambiance and decor, but the food wasn't thaaat memorable. Got the hand cut fries with spicy mayo dipping sauce. Fries were surprisingly crispy and paired wonderfully with the sauce. Kimchi pancake was okay- wish it was a bit more crispy (maybe it's a personal preference thing). Friends shared the fried calamari. They said it was good, but I didn't personally try. As for the chicken, we got half soy half spicy wings and boneless breasts. Boneless breasts were a bit dry- would probably just get the wings if we ever come back. The spicy flavor was underwhelming... no kick to it. Would probably come back for the atmosphere. definitely makes for a fun time with friends ! just wouldn't come with the highest expectations for the food lol
