I had a nice lunch here recently when in the area. They are probably much busier at pre-theater dinner time being in Times Square, but there were not many people there at lunch time. The complimentary bread was fresh and warm. My gnocchi tasted homemade and fresh and was excellent. The service was friendly and prompt. It was a good meal, and I will add it to my list of options in the Times Square area.

This is a great Italian restaurant in the Broadway area of Manhattan, not far from Times Square. Had dinner here before a show. The theater next door (The Lena Horne theater) had recommended this restaurant, and they have a great ability to serve hundreds of people fast. I saw many tables turn over before and after the show, and the servers here work hard. Special thanks to the main bartender, who said he was from Bangaladesh, and who was very fast and efficient. The restaurant inside was somewhat noisy due to the fact it was packed with people, but you can still have a conversation here. The tables and walls and bar are dark wood, but it's very well lit in here. My salad was brought out fast, the bartender poured my wine selections rapidly, and the house special - chicken parmesan with spaghetti - was brought out piping hot and was very flavorful.

We came here while visiting New York. We had a 5:30pm reservation but our Rideshare got lost so I called to inform them we were running 5 minutes late. I was told that it was okay and they'd hold the table. When we got there, we were checked in and the lady host asked us if we wanted to take the 7:15pm slot and be seated upstairs in a nicer area. I told her we did not want to because we were watching a show afterwards, she asked me what time, I said Lion King 8pm at Minskoff. No explanation was given for her query, so I am not sure what that was about, but I thought that it was odd to be asked such. They serve complimentary bread. We ordered the Fritto Misto for our appetizer. I like that it was a combination of calamari and shrimp. For our entree, we ordered 3 pastas (rigatoni, angel hair and pappardelle) which all had good flavor and ample amount of ingredients, and a chicken dish (Scarpariello) which was good but nothing extraordinary. All entrees had a good-sized portion. For dessert we orders the pistachio tartufo which was delicious, and the sorbet which was good (we opted for 2 scoops of mango and 1 scoop raspberry). Service was adequate - no issue noted nor was it above and beyond. Price is reasonable. Place was packed and a bit loud while we were there- if you want to enjoy a quiet dinner, this is not the place.

8 years after my first review of Trattoria Trecolori, just stopping back in to rave about how amazing the consistency is here! If I'm in the theater district and want Italian, there's really only one choice, and it's Trattoria Trecolori. The gnocchi alla baba remains the best pasta dish I've ever had, always cooked to perfection and flavored incredibly. The penne arrabbiata my friend had was also amazing and spiced perfectly, and the mozzarella in carrozza was a great way to start the meal. For dessert you can never go wrong with the tartuffo. The restaurant is beautiful, the service is always top notch, and the food can't be beat - all prices that continue to be some of the most affordable in the area. Trecolori is a gem and I'm so glad it continues to impress time after time.

We hit this spot right after we saw Six (it's Nextdoor). They weren't busy so we could be seated right away. Our server was friendly and helpful. She listed specials and they all sounded amazing. We ordered one of them (mushroom ravioli). We got mozzarella for the table - 2 giant pieces good for sharing. I ordered the linguini a la vongole but subbed spaghetti. Two of us got that. Another got the chicken parm. That was also flavorful. I ordered an espresso martini that was nice and creamy. We all enjoyed our meals here.

This food was so good!!! So we made the controversial choice of ordering a pasta dish as our appetizer because everyone in my group wanted to try the gnocchi but weren't bold enough to commit to it and this may revolutionize how we approach appetizer selection in the future! The gnocchi was amazing! I ordered the veal sorrentino which was good but my mom's order of eggplant Parmesan was the best dish of the table (this was not on the dinner menu but they are able to make it on request). The unanimous winner of dinner was the eggplant parm with the gnocchi being a close runner up! But really, everyone loved their food. The pasta was all so good and we left pretty full! I'd come back here again and will have to make sure we snag some reservations a few weeks ahead of time on open table like we did for this trip.

Good food, decent prices for Times Square. Surprisingly large inside. Quick service for when you have show tickets. Pasta tastes homemade and the sauces taste fresh and piping hot. A bit noisy and no theater prix fixe but still a good choice for a nice pre-show dinner in the area.

We have been in NYC almost every other week since October for work so we have eaten at many, many restaurants. Tonight we had a hankering for Italian. We read great things about Trecolori and it did not disappoint. We made a reservation as were greeted and seated immediately. We started with a meat and cheese board. Everything was fresh and tasty. You know it was high quality product. We both wanted fresh pasta. Sherry had tortellini in a light cream sauce and I had squid ink pasta with mixed seafood in a spicy red sauce. Wow - we loved both. Flavorful and well portioned. Service was excellent but not overbearing. The restaurant had a bistro look with brick exposed walls. We were too full for dessert but I had an espresso before leaving. Prices were reasonable for a theater district restaurant. Definitely will visit here again. Try it!

Dropped in while on the way home. Pleasant restaurant with lots of seating! Would recommend making a reservation before coming, it is a high volume restaurant. The vongole pasta was my personal favorite! The noodles were perfectly al dente and seasoned to my liking. Four dishes in total came to about ~ $130

The Caprese was very well done. It was delicious. The bread was nice. The waiter assured me that I could get a replacement for spaghetti for my penne arrabiatta and then proceeded to bring me penne arabiatta. On top of this the pasta was way too spicy. The chocolate mousse cake was way too sweet and not worth the price. In addition, service was very slow and as a table of one I was ignored for larger tables even though I should've received at least partial attention. Overall a mediocre experience I would not come back for the price tag.
