Quite a tourist spot due to the location. More a diner rather than an Italian restaurant. Realized after that they also have a lunch sandwich menu, which wasn't offered. The salad was ok, although my friend throughly enjoyed her eggplant.

Came here for dinner with a friend from out of town. We both needed some Italian and seeing that it's right by Madison Square Gardens (MSG), it was a great choice. Just a few people were in house when we arrived. We had reservations for 7:15p and were seated right away. It is a large restaurant, so would be ideal for big groups. Our server Tina was amazing!!!!! She was such a pleasure to have. She gave us her recommendations on the menu. It was a pleasure to have conversation with her. For appetizer, we had the fried calamari, which was great! It came out hot and crispy, and the spicy marinara sauce was a perfect match! For dinner, we had the shrimp calamari and the bolognese pappardelle. Again, both came out hot and were full of flavor and was just the right portion for both of us. We both enjoyed our entrees. And to top off the night, we had the cheesecake for dessert, which was amazing!!! Made fresh everyday in house and was not too creamy or not too sweet, it was just right!! I will definitely be back to try more items on the menu. Prices were definitely not bad at all, seeing that it's in the smack of Midtown.

**Service:**The service at Trattoria Bianca was outstanding. Tina, our server, was warm, welcoming, and exceptionally informative with her recommendations. Her attentiveness and friendly demeanor enhanced our dining experience, making us feel right at home.**Taste:**We sampled a variety of dishes from their expansive menu, and each one was a hit. The calamari was perfectly crispy, the shrimp scampi was succulent and flavorful, and the bolognese pappardelle was rich and hearty. We paired our meal with both red and white wine, which complemented the dishes beautifully. To top it off, the house-made cheesecake was creamy and decadent - the perfect ending to a fantastic meal.**Ambiance:**Trattoria Bianca boasts a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere, ideal for both small and big groups. The ambiance is charming and inviting, with a touch of classic Italian decor that makes for a pleasant dining experience.**Recommendation:**If you're in the city and craving authentic Italian cuisine that won't break the bank, Trattoria Bianca is a must-visit. The combination of excellent food, exceptional service, and a welcoming environment makes it a standout spot near Penn Station.Definitely a place worth returning to whenever you're in the area!

We were the only customers for a weekday dinner around 5pm. They give you some bread with hummus. It's cold but alright. Then we ordered fried calamari and it was crunchy and delicious. The spicy marinara on the side was perfect. The short rib cannelloni was decent. It was filled with ricotta cheese, mozarella cheese and well cooked short ribs blanketed with pasta and pasta sauce. Honestly, you can make it at home. Nothing special. My boyfriend enjoyed the banana magarita and they gave me a large glass of malbec. We were satisfied and the customer service was fantastic because we were the only ones there.

Just steps away from Penn Station to Madison Square Garden. We are in need of a quick bite for lunch, and we stumbled upon this place. Thank goodness for the AC that day. The had a full menu for lunch. The pappardelle bolognese was made with fresh pasta. It was delicious. My buddy said the margarita pizza was great.

this place is large and good for big groups. we were able to get a last minute reservation for 10 people on a weekday for lunch. the service was friendly and pretty prompt, had no complaints. the food was fine. the pizzas were pretty good, but very very thin. still not bad at all. the pappardelle was ok but nothing special; lacked a bit of flavor and lacked some richness. the pasta was soft. my lunchmates said the salmon was good, the short rib cannelloni was good, the carbonara was just ok. overall, not a bad spot if you have a big party and need a work lunch.

We made our way to Trattoria Bianca after a play. Upon being seated, we were brought water and, quickly after, a basket of bread along with a small bowl of hummus with olive oil and what appeared to be red pepper aioli. I found that dip to be unusual for an Italian restaurant and requested olive oil with Parmesan for dipping. Our waiter told us he couldn't do that, which really surprised me, but a few minutes later he did indeed bring it to me. It would've been nice if the bread was warm but it was still tasty. I ordered the cheese tortellini (with red sauce instead of the cream sauce) and the man ordered veal scallopini. Both were delicious. The bottle of red we ordered was also pretty good. Our waiter was attentive at exactly the right times. Considering its midtown, close to Times Square location, we were pleased with our experience at Trattoria Bianca.

Came here before a show around the corner as a last minute reservation. Overall the food and service was fine, nothing special to write home about but nothing bad. Prices are standard for the area, but a little high in my opinion. The cannelloni was the favorite of the table in terms of dishes (but that was also the most expensive dish). The peach martini was also quite good. Overall this is a spot I would say is fine if you need to get dinner in the area in a pinch, but not a place I would go out of my way for.

The service was super slow and inattentive despite it being a quiet night. The food was subpar, especially for the price. The chicken saltimbocca was at least somewhat decent, but the Margherita pizza tasted like generic frozen pizza and was so thin and crisp (see picture). There are so many other great Italian restaurants in the city-- skip this one.
