A really great restaurant that focuses on an upper scale, Galician Spanish food. Tomiño brings me back to my times in Spain and I think it might be the best Spanish restaurant in the city. The place is fairly lively and is great for drinks as well as food. It's a good date spot. The house made limoncello cocktail is incredible. The food features some fancy plating, and the menu is largely comprised of small plates (though they aren't that small frankly). Everything was cooked well, but the highlight was the Arroz Negro. The squid was very tender and the fish tasted of the sea. Service was great. The servers were super attentive.

My friend made a reservation for 11 and we came here on a Monday evening (8 pm). We had to sit really close to each other since we had a big group. The atmosphere of this space is very cozy. It was very loud when I first arrived since the place was packed. We decided to order family style for the tapas (2-3 tapas each). We had chorizo al inferno (my fav), croquettes, jamon, empanadillas, ribs, and squid. In addition to the tapas, we ordered the arroz caldoso con bogavante (it feed more than 2) and black rice. I wish the arroz caldoso con bogavante had less fish, it was in every bite. The black rice was ok, nothing special.Everything else was very delicious and we were all really full. The bill came out to about 70 per person (and a little more if you ordered a drink).

Food 8/10A solid spot if you're craving tapas! Their octopus was seasoned very thoroughly and came out extremely tender-might be my favorite dish of the meal. I also really enjoyed the croquetas, even though I usually view potatoes as having no value add. The salad was also very refreshing, full of tomatoes and olives, while the iberica was my least favorite, simply because it didn't stand out as much as the others.Atmosphere 8/10Located on Grand Street, the restaurant has quite a good number of seats. There's a bar at the front, with tables in the back. Ceilings were high, and I recall getting some natural sunlight. Service 8/10Good service, fast and efficient.

This is the closest I've gotten to finding an authentic Spanish place in the city! Not only were there many Spaniards dining here, but the smell was comforting as it had that traditional smell only Spanish restaurants have. The service was incredible, waiters very helpful, kind, and attentive. Presentation of the food was very nice and everything was super delicious. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the pulpo because I was too busy eating it - ha! Great to see some tapas that remind me of home and were typical to Galicia. The drink menu is impressive and they definitely have a kick. Lovely spot, can't wait to come back!

Food was super tasty for the most part- they have got that right. Ambience was pleasant and the place has a decent vibe. I took out one star because the food arrival seemed random- hard to explain but there was a weird amount of waiting time. Things you would think would come out first like the salad came out in the middle. cooked stuff came out before non cooked stuff...The meat came out the absolute last (maybe it's the cooking so I'll give them that). It's hard to explain- There were 4 people in my party and we ordered maybe 10-12 small dishes (yeah- we eat a lot lol). None of us were drinkers- so no comment on the drinks.

I ran into this restaurant when I was planning my trip to Little Italy. It's definitely a hidden gem among rows of Italian restaurants. Amazing Spanish food. Not surprised that it received Michelin star in 2020. Since coming back from Spain, I have been craving for a Spanish food that can transport me back to the moment when I was enjoying an authentic Spanish food. Tomińo definitely exceeds my expectations. Pimientos pardon is a great way to start. Spanish tortilla is made in perfection. Better than the one I had in Madrid. Runny center as it's supposed to be. Not too salty and has some sweetness. Octopus aka Pulpo is another winner. Well seasoned and perfectly executed with good quality of olive oil and some smokiness. I cannot wait to come back. It's worth it to travel from Philly to enjoy a delicious authentic Spanish food. Not too formal ambiance. There's a bar area where you can watch sports. Several jamón are also hanging by the bar area. Great service. My food came out right away.

My friend and I were reminiscing about Spain and stumbled upon a charming tapas spot here that really captures the vibe. It's perfect for groups or date nights. Here's what we tried: * Empanada Gallega: Recommended by our server. Not the traditional empanadas you might expect--it's a baked savory pie. Decent, but I'd pass on this one. * Chorizos al Infierno: Fire-grilled spicy sausage that's juicy and full of flavor. An absolute must-try! * Plancha Mixta: A mix of four buttery clams, two prawns, and two langoustines. * Sardinas a la Brasa: Another standout! Grilled sardines paired with charred shishito peppers and bread. * Pulpo á Feira: Tender octopus, seasoned with paprika and drizzled with olive oil. * Arroz Caldoso: Perfect for sharing. A comforting, soupy rice dish with lobster, monkfish, and seafood broth. Delicious and satisfying!Highly recommend this spot if you're craving authentic flavors.

Come for the space, they've got an open, brightly lit dining room that feels incredibly spacious -- good for groups and entertaining out of town guests, perhaps.Service was also excellent, the staff were so friendly and professional throughout our meal. The food itself, however, didn't blow me away. We had an octopus dish that was far too salty, and the octopus itself was almost mealy with each bite. Not a great start. The scallops dish was great, that was the highlight for me. They were prepared nicely and full of flavor. Finally, the arroz dish, almost like a soupy paella, was fine, but didn't stand out. The lobster was a really nice touch, and prepared perfectly, but overall, the dish isn't going to have me racing to come back.Overall a decent spot, especially for groups and for a nicer meal that won't break the bank.

Loved the food and the environment at Tomiño. The service was very attentive and friendly.Really recommend getting the the perfectly cooked Pulpo or octopus tapas and the Squid Ink Rice! We finished with the assorted sorbet. Please try the yogurt sorbet, it's so refreshing and creamy!I'll definitely be back again to try other items on the menu!

Overall: I went here on a Friday night with my girlfriend. Reservations can sometimes be difficult to get for peak times, so I recommend booking a couple weeks in advance if possible. Most of the food was delicious, though some dishes were a much better than others. The octopus in particular was a very large portion and some of the most tender we have tried. We're looking forward to going back!Food: 5Drinks: 4Service: 4Value: 4Atmosphere: 4Food: We ordered several tapas (listed below). Our waitress recommended ~3 dishes per person, but that seemed to be on the high side - we probably could have done with 4-5 between the two of us. The octopus was fantastic (some of our favorite we've tried) and the tortilla and churrasco were highlights. The sardines tasted good, but were full of tiny bones that were near impossible to remove. In hindsight, I wish we had tried some of the tinned fish instead of the grilled sardines. But overall, all of the food ranged from good to great.- Pan con Tomate- Churrasco con Chimichurri- Sardinas a la Brasa- Tortilla de Betanzos- Tomate, Higos, y Ventresca- Pulpo a FeiraDrinks: The drink menu here is dominated by a large gin and tonic menu. We each ordered one, and they came in enormous goblets. The drink itself was just alright, but at least the portion was good. We spent the entire meal trying to finish them.Service: Our waitress was very friendly and helpful, though not the most attentive. There were several times that we were completely left alone for long stretches of the meal, and there was a ~30 minute gap at one point between some of our dishes. We still had a good time and the slow pace was probably good considering the amount of food that was provided, but the service had potential to be more prompt and attentive.Value: Each of the tapas that we ordered ranged from $9-$20. They were generally all good portion sizes for a tapas place, but tapas in general tend not to be the most efficient for value purposes.Atmosphere: The place was very lively. We were seated near the kitchen and could see all of the hustle and bustle of the staff. It was a fun place to be without being so loud that we couldn't hear each other.
