The food at THEP Thai was absolutely delicious!Everything from the wings, to the calamari, to the Cashew King wok dish I got were 10/10!!My wife said the drinks were amazing too and with the waitlist feature we didn't even have to wait long! It is gorgeous on the inside and I highly recommend it for your next stop if you haven't been!!

A great alternative if you can't get into Tha Phraya or Up Thai :)I don't love the large communal dining table in the middle... but the small tables in the covered outdoor space is a nice alternative. We grabbed:- Tom Yum Soup- fried shrimp dumplings- Crispy pork basil over rice- Green curryEverything was delicious and it was definitely more than enough food for 2 people. Attentive staff. No critique of the food except that we wished there was more veggies/substance in the Tom yum soup and green curry, but we enjoyed it all nonetheless. Shorter wait times (if any) than the more popular Thai spots with pretty decent portion sizes. We'd come back!

Thep Thai is an absolute standout not just for its delicious food but also for its surprisingly amazing cocktail menu. The drinks are artistically crafted, with each one looking like a work of art. Hats off to the talented bartender! As for the food, it was delicious! I started with the Papaya Salad and the Thep Platter which was a mix of different starters that gave me a little taste of everything--perfect for sharing or if you love variety. For my main, I had the Pad See Ew, and it was absolutely delicious.

Thai is one of my favorite foods and I was excited to try this place. The restaurant was nice and small, we waited about 30 minutes until we were seated. It was a very busy evening, but the service was good, and the food came out quickly. I ordered the thai iced tea and my other half had the thai iced coffee. For appetizers, we ordered the crispy spring rolls and tom kha soup with chicken. That was my favorite part of the meal. I was not impressed with the beef pad see ew and avocado massaman curry with chicken. I thought the curry was too spicy. For dessert, they only had ice cream, I thought they would have more options so we skipped dessert. Not sure if I'll return since I prefer making reservations instead of a walk-in and I've had better Thai food else where.

This is a must try in NYC. I've thoroughly enjoyed everything I've eaten here (pad Thai, drunken noodles, crab & basil fried rices, satay, pad see ew, thep platter, curry). Also for as busy as it can get, I've never had any trouble getting a table at the last minute or with their waitlist. Definitely recommend getting the THEP platter as a starter to try a bunch of their best apps!

Super empty at 7pm on a Sunday in the winter, luckily we didn't have to wait for a table! Our favorites are the chicken satay and pad see ew. Service is very attentive! It is nicely decorated inside.

Elegant decor and inventive Thai dishes await your visit at this busy UESider, where you can't make reservations and need to sign up in a waiting list. We went at a weird time (4pm) on a Sunday afternoon and didn't have to wait. By the time we left, a few people were already waiting for a table (even at 5pm). Expect a rushed service. Although they're not rude, they constantly come to your table making sure you order as fast as possible. We were asked 4 times if we were ready to order, and it only took 10 minutes to navigate their menu for our choices. The food came in less than 2 minutes, even the entree. It wasn't steaming hot, but it was good nonetheless. Spare ribs: tender and really yummy. Listed as "bites" on the menu, it's a sizable portion of 4 succulent skillfully marinated pork spare ribs. Get them. Crispy calamari: I had to order this for my 6-year old daughter who would eat little else. They were fine. Seared duck in red curry: very good. $30 well spent. Somehow, pineapple and lychee work perfectly in this sweet red curry. The duck is brought perfectly medium rare and you'd bathe in that curry sauce if you could (luckily there's plenty). Overall, it's not a cheap meal ($70 before tip for just those 3 dishes), but the ribs were delicious and the duck something I'd never had before. They have lots of dishes I'd like to try, so I think I'll go back to try some. But don't go if you want to take your time eating: they're fast and furious.

I go to thai restaurants a lot. I also cook Thai food myself. This food is okay. Deep fried appetizers are all too deep fried and stiff. Pat thai with shrimp was 4 starts out of 5. All others were 2 stats.

Checked out THEP Thai and they have such a beautiful interior and outdoor dining setup. The decor creates an intimidate and romantic ambiance. The Pad Thai was amazing however the Pad See Eew didn't live up to my expectations. Would definitely stop by to try other items from their menu!

Thep Thai is always a reliable and delicious option for Thai food on the upper East side. This is a popular spot that usually has a long wait time. I came on a Friday night around 8:30pm and was luckily seated right away. We were seated outside and it was heated. The service was very attentive. We ordered the herb wings as an appetizer. It was crispy on the outside, yet soft and juicy on the inside. The herbs were flavorful and the sauce was sweet adding dimension to the wings. I enjoyed the khao soi as well. The chicken on the bone is the classic way of ordering as recommended on their menu. It was cooked perfectly. The chicken was soft and absorbed the sauce of the khao soi. The noodles were not overcooked and the crispy noodles provided a fun change of texture. I like the khao soi here compared to other Thai establishments because the sauce is not overpowered by the rich and creamy elements it has. We also enjoyed the drunken noodle with beef and pad Thai with shrimp. Both noodle dishes were flavorful and saucy. Overall, the dining experience at Thep Thai considering taste, price, and friendly service is why I keep coming back for more.
