Cool bar with great atmosphere! It was a little dead when we went, but still great time! I loved the interior, and the speakeasy aspect made it fun. The food is a little expensive, but we shared the rainbow cake together. Drinks were good! You're really coming for the atmosphere if anything. There's not much bar area, so be prepared to sit at a table!

Your dress code for a Sunday night is absurd. Turning down paying customers because they look "too sporty"... really? As you know there are thousands of choices in NYC and your bouncers certainly separated your business from the rest, swaying a group of customers to never return. The goal is to make money not turn it away. I understand if we have ragged torn up clothes and smell bad but literally nice jackets with brand new solid black sweatpants.... You'll learn it's ok.I highly doubt someone is going to come in and say hey they're wearing sweatpants this isn't fancy, I want to leave. I've gotten into steakhouses that charge well over 100$ for a simple fillet and they aren't even this bad. It's sad.I highly encourage other potential customers to boycott this place due to their childish dress code discrimination policies and support other Resturaunts that see paying customers for who they are.

I loved the idea of a Speakeasy, as I had never been to one. As promised, we needed a password that was asked for before they unlocked the door. We walked down stairs that were spray painted with 80s everything. When we reached the hostess stand, there was a little museum like area with everything sex. It reminded me of the Provincetown sex museum. We all had to provide an ID to enter. We pushed a button and moved a wall rack of VHS tapes as promised and entered into a very cool restaurant. There were lights everywhere, amazing 80s music and 80s movies playing on every tv. We had a waitress and a waiter come to our table within minutes. We ordered cocktails and then when he came back, our food. The menu was great. My wife had the Big Mac quesadilla and she said it was amazing. Two of us had the grilled cheese beefsteak and the meat inside was SO GOOD. It came with tortilla chips and homemade guac that was fantastic. The nacho fries were so good and a meal in themselves. The truffle fries were a little weak and flavorless but the fry itself was good. Our reservation was at 615 and we knew there was a 90 minute time limit for tables but we were asked to leave at 730. Our bill was $357 which included 4 meals, 2 sides and 7 drinks with tip. We were a little disappointed that we could stay the full 90 minutes because I still had a drink. I'd like to try it again but maybe in the less busy season.

Truly unique speakeasy bar that hits all the right (80's) notes. First off, this is a true speakeasy: it's hard to find, you have to make reservations, and the cocktail are original! Second, the whole vibe is like 80's NY grime while tripping on acid, even if you are sober. Still intrigued? Good you should be! This is one of the best bars in Manhattan. Drinks: 5/5. creative, strong, and tasty. They look as good as they taste! Food: 4/5. A lot of tasty fried choices but wish they had pizza! Still, the options are goodAnd prices are as expected for a midtown bar.Service: 4/5. Although it can be quite loud and dark (being a speakeasy) the waiters were pretty attentive and seemed to be just care free enough to reflect the 80's under the influence vibe Atmosphere: 5/5. If you don't want loud 80's music and neon spray painted walls, don't visit. But if you're cool with it, you will immerse yourself in the vibe!

A friend and I planned a date night and wanted to go somewhere we've never been before. Knowing I like speakeasy's my friend recommended we try The Woo Woo. Located right next to The Mean Fiddler, we walked up to a bouncer in all black who asked for the password to enter The Woo Woo. Once given, he asked for our ID and pressed the buzzer. The person who answered also asked for the password and once we said it, they let us in. The inside was well lite and completely full of graffiti. You have to go down two flights of stairs and when you get to the bottom you entered into a very small porn shop. It felt like you stepped into the 80s/early 90s. We had the option to take photos and look around and then the hostess told us how to enter the actually bar itself. Once in, we were meet with an 90's style bar with multiple TVs playing shows from that era. My friend and I sat closer to the bar; I was facing a TV playing The Fresh Prince and my friend was facing the TV that played Sex In the City. The music was also from the 90's. It was a cool vibe. The drinks and food have funny, sexual names and we ordered a few things. For drinks, I ordered Sex Cures Anxiety, which was a spin on a French 75. I thought it was tasty but just a little too sweet. My friend ordered Morning Wood. For food we ordered the Slide'her In Chicken Sliders and the French Fry Nachos. The sandwiches were good, you get three per serving and the nachos were spicy and delicious. Overall, I enjoyed it and could see how it would be a fun spot to hang with friends. It didnt give me the "speakeasy" vibe I was looking for. It was very 90s and kinda give me Stranger Things era.

Apparently you're not supposed to take photos or videos, but I didn't get that memo until I was already in the process. This bar was amazing. You don't have to order one of the specialty cocktails, but they do come in a fun looking glass, my partner and I ordered wine, thinking that this was a happy hour spot to our pleasant surprise. It was just what we needed for a quick drink in New York. Make sure to look on their website, the access folder for the special code to enter. Have fun!

It's a speakeasy introduced to me by sister. We returned together. The passage phrase has changed. It can be found on the website. I recommend you make a reservation as even on a Wednesday night; it fills for only bar access. We got lucky after ordering and starting our first libation with a table. Table service brought bites; chicken egg rolls and guacamole & chips. Of coursexwe added a second libation mixed in with ample water and lime (hydration).Great music, entertaining and attentive staff.
