The Wicked Monk

This is a classic bay ridge staple! They put multiple sports games on at once, if that's what you're looking for. Definitely kept my whole group happy. The food is amazing - can't speak any more highly of the appetizers. I will say, we got the Philly cheesesteak Mac and cheese which was good but contained ENTIRELY too many mushrooms, taking away from the Philly cheesesteak flavor. It had a great crunch from the breadcrumbs, though. The service is also wonderful - our lovely waitress tended to our table and discreetly took my "happy birthday" request for a member of my party, as well as a sneaky card pass to pay the check without anyone noticing.

Went with a few coworkers on a Friday night and it's a great place to go after a work week. It was pretty loud and difficult to hear my coworkers but what is to expect on a Friday night. The servers are very helpful. They clear your plates pretty quickly. Maybe since it was a Friday, we had to flag our server a couple times to get her attention. The food was ok. The tacos and wings were delicious. I got a the monk burger and it was good but very small compared to other bar burgers I've gotten. It was cooked to my order which I appreciated but was just very surprised at the size of my burger. All in all great experience.

There a few times and it's been consistently good. Definitely enough choices on the menu to choose from. Service was good also. Tried the drink wake and bake for the first time and it was delicious lol burgers and the chicken sandwich really good.

Came here with some friends for dinner and some drinks. The service was really great and everyone was kind and welcoming. The decor is beautiful inside and makes you feel like you're in a medieval castle or fancy church. But the vibes are casual and cool. We started with the honey sriracha wings and the sauce was delicious but I felt like the actual wings were not seasoned underneath. My friends got dry rub wings with the honey sriracha sauce on the side and I think that is the way to go! I got the bacon cheeseburger with fries and the burger was cooked perfectly. The fries were delicious and the portion size was great. My husband got shepherds pie and really enjoyed it as well. I would definitely come back when craving bar food and good vibes!

Very big fan of The Monk!Whether you are just stopping by for a quick drink or sitting down for a meal, it's always a good time.The brunch menu on the weekend is great and their dinner menu has a great selection too!The Reuben spring rolls are amazing!The wake and bake is the best brunch cocktail!All the brunch dishes are delicious. We will keep on coming back! The staff is pleasant and kind and everyone really welcomes you!

I really love the ambiance of this place with gothic/church style decor taken from the previous location. Dining in the pews. The food is American with Irish influence.We got french onion soups, boneless wings, Philly Cheese Mac n Cheese, Chicken Pot Pie, Chicago Style Sandwich, and some Mushroom Guinness gravy on the side. Nothing special to point out overall. Except the mushroom sauce, it was out of this world, I would return just for the sauce. Mac n Cheese was good, but too greasy for me - might be the point of the dish.Service was good.I would recommend trying this place once, just wasn't for me, personally.

This place is located in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. This Irish Pub serves excellent meal. We reserved a private room for 30 of our close friends and family. The place is like an old church with a pulpit, statue of a monk, stained Glass and a large bar. They served us salad, calamari and Shrimp for appetizers, ziti pasta, short ribs and chicken corden blue. They provide soda, water and coffee. The bar offers a page full of different bears from around the world. The short ribs are exceptionally tender. Fried Calamari and shrimps are freshly cooked. Everyone love the ziti pasta. Every bite of chicken corden blue is filled with amazing taste of chicken, ham and cream sauce. Our server and our host Meghan keep our event exceptionally memorable. They continues to replenish the food until everyone had enough. We have so much food to take home. Ask for Meghan to make a reservation. You won't regret having a date or party.
