Love the interior ambiance. Very lively setting and kind workers. Great location as well.In a city where the Thai food scene is super fierce, this isn't my favorite recommendation however. The general flavor palettes seem toned down and light overall.

Food:Food was absolutely amazing! I'm always on the lookout for the best thai restaurant in NY and this might take the cake for me. I got the Kaeng Jee Juan curry to try something new and I was not disappointed. If you're a fan of green curry, I think you'll like this one too. Best Pineapple fried rice I have had! The pineapple was so fresh and juicy. Rice was cooked perfectly. Wait: We got there 10 mins after opening and there were two 2 person tables left. If you don't want to wait, I think you'll have to get there as soon as it opens. It's a small restaurant with maybe 16ish seats.

At least for their weekday lunch special, 5/5. For their weekday lunch special, Thonglor offers an appetizer (soup/salad/spring roll) and an entrée (noodle dishes/rice dishes/curries) for just $11.Taste is good alone, but with the options and price, pretty hard to beat the value you get. Can't go wrong with Tom Yum Soup and Pad See Ew or Drunken Noodle.

Food was pretty good-- I loved the shrimp and the noodles. The curry was pretty good too.Service was really, really slow, considering that it wasn't particularly busy that day. Ambiance is very casual.

I tried the jeen Juan curry which id never heard of before. It reminded me a little bit of massaman curry minus the potato and a stronger taste of cloves. I ordered mine with extra protein and it was enough to eat two days. The curry was flavorful albeit it a bit oily for my liking. I would order from here again but maybe try another dish.

This place is so cute! It seems like this place was reported as closed on Yelp but I just went today so maybe it was closed temporarily. The restaurant is really small but it is so nicely decorated and beautiful inside. There was only one server but she was super nice even though it was very busy for her. My friend and I got the lunch special. I got the massaman curry with spring roll and my friend got the red curry with Tom yum soup. There are also other appetizers to choose from for the lunch special. We also ordered Thai iced teas which was delicious. I really loved it here and will be back!

I came here for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. This place was a bit small but great if you only have 2 people. If you come for lunch, there's no wait but I would think there would be a wait for dinner since the place is so small. We ordered the lunch special which is a great deal ($11-$12 for appetizer and entree) for midtown (or NYC in general haha). We ordered the chicken drunken noodles with a spring roll appetizer ($11) and the shrimp basil fried rice with a Thai house salad appetizer ($12). The noodles and the rice were actually a bit spicy which was surprising. It's not super spicy, just a little bit spicy. The food was delicious and great value for the price. Service was friendly and fast. I would definitely come back for lunch!

Good Thai in hells kitchen area. Very cool decorations and plates inside and most importantly, good food. I felt they had very unique things not normally served at other Thai restaurants. We got chiang mai noodle (chicken curry crispy + soft noodle), khao soi moo krob (crispy pork curry with crispy + soft noodle) and Kai jeaw crab (crab omlet)! The curry noodle dishes tasted similar to masaman and perfect for cold days!

The beau and I made the outlandish choice to go here on the hottest day of the summer. Needless to say this tiny storefront of a restaurant does not have adequate air conditioning but I will not penalize them for that in this review. The food is some of the best Thai I have had in the neighborhood. The food was piping hot and full of flavor. Currently they only have beer available but hopefully they get the ability to expand to wine and liquor. Then we will have a truly great asset to the neighborhood as far as causal Thai goes. Will definitely go back in the cooler months and definitely order to go.

They don't accept reservations but luckily, my friend and I met up early enough (6 pm on a Wednesday) and we got the last table. The restaurant is very small with maybe six tables inside and two outside. They have a drink menu but I don't think they have their alcohol license yet so I saw other people BYOB.We decided to order a bunch of things to share:-Phla Kung (shrimp salad - chili paste, red onion, mint, lettuce in a spicy lime dressing) - we originally wanted to get the soft shell crab salad, but the waitress said it wasn't that good, which I appreciated. We really enjoyed the shrimp salad. The shrimp were big and perfectly cooked, and the lime dressing was so fragrant/flavorful/delicious-Khao Soi (egg noodles and chicken in a Thai curry broth) - the broth was good but the chicken was not. It had that old leftover chicken taste. You also have to eat the noodles pretty quickly, otherwise it becomes a soggy mess-Chicken larb - the flavors were good but the chicken again had this leftover taste. The spicy lime dressing from the shrimp salad helped make this dish a bit more palatable-Pad Thai with mixed seafood wrapped in egg - this was on the "Chef's Specials" section of the menu, which I guess meant they put an egg on it and charged $25 on it. So not worth it. There was barely any seafood - just whatever is on top, which was three pieces of squid, two shrimp, and two mussels. The noodles itself were good so you're better off just ordering the regular Pad Thai. That'll save you $9I would probably come back just for the shrimp salad and maybe even the pad Thai. But just stay away from anything that has chicken in it.
