Drinks only reviews. 1 very friendly - funny waiter 1st night. Stayed at hotel - given a $25 per day credit. Drink pours were incredibly small - plus a bit high priced- even for n.y. $25 for tiny glass of wine. Guess they are smart - was mostly packed every day

This bar and lounge was tucked away in the corner of my hotel. This bar and lounge was warm, welcoming, and upscale. The staff was friendly, extremely well trained, and very knowledgeable. To drink, I had the Intercontinental 75. This drink was refreshing, balanced, and delicious. To eat, I had the Cheese and Charcuterie Platter and the French Onion Soup. The Cheese and Charcuterie Platter had a wide variety of meats and cheeses and came with different made in-house breads, olives, and figs. The cheeses and meats complemented one another. The French Onion Soup was rich and had complex flavors. This was a wonderful experience and I definitely will be back for another visit.

The cocktails here are absolutely awesome - delicious, strong, and aesthetically pleasing. I do think they're pretty expensive (even on happy hour prices), but you're also in NYC so what can you expect? Service was very fast, and it wasn't too crowded at all.

If you're a guest staying at the hotel, don't waste your time here. A pretty-but-rude hostess came over to our table to ask us to leave after two rounds of drinks because we had already paid our bill. She was smug and said there were lots of people waiting to take our table. Meanwhile, we were hotel guests who were just finishing up our drinks who had just paid our check minutes ago. What's the rush? Let this be a warning: this place cares more about turning over tables than its actual paying hotel guests.

Food was a solid 3... drinks & service were a 5. Ordered the charcuterie board and it was okay. The cheese lacked any real flavor and likely just average quality. The meats were the same. The olives and nuts though made the plate good. Ordered a Negroni Americano style and the bartender did it well- enjoyed it! Also bartender went out of his way to make me a tea even though it's not on the menu. It did cost me $10 so I guess I paid for the kindness. I'd go back here for drinks but probably skip the food.

My friend is getting married. Another one bites the dust! Being a banker, his past relationships have been opportunistic women that did not contribute much to the relationship so I wanted to make sure he was not getting married because he had the need to be married in his early 30s. Friends, thank goodness his fiancé turned out to be great. Anyways, in order to subtly pry, one needs a place to have drinks. Since I was with a banker, I was obviously going to have him buy me expensive drinks (aren't I such a hypocrit? Times are rough...). We have this unwanted tradition of roaming the cold looking for decent places to go. First we tried Bar Downstairs. Closed. Then we tried Fine and Rare. There was an event. We eventually decided to go here because it was close to where my friend had to take the ferry. I am not a big Hell's Kitchen person, but what are friends for? My my my, what a hidden gem. I think my drink was called the Stinger so I had to get it. A vodka moment or did I make it a vodka moment? All I know is I drank like three of them and was real buzzed. Talk about a Stinger. So we ordered the truffle fries. Steak fries came out and we quietly ate them because we were hungry and tipsy. Also, they were good so why not? Then the waiter came with the truffle fries. They looked and smelt right. So we had two things of fries here. Oh my goodness, I want to say Chris was our person and want to give him a shout out but I am 85% likely to be wrong... Would go here again if I happen to be in the area and am looking for a place.

The breakfast buffet is very good, but the evening drinks/snacks are just mediocre, and the evening hostess could use a little more friendliness.

I've been staying at this hotel FOR YEARS. My stays are usually anywhere from 3-5 days to 5-7 days. I have NEVER had such poor service at this Stinger restaurant as I have in the last 24 hours.Last night, while checking in (which took 15 - 20 mins) after traveling all day I quickly went to check in with the restaurant to see if the kitchen was open while check in was dragging. They told me I had another 5 minutes to order. I replied that I'd be back in less than 5 mins to order.I came back in 3, with the manager (or security) asking me where I was going. Like, really???I explained that I was going to order food. They replied that it has to be takeout as they were closing up. Not a "can I help you?". Nothing. Just rude and completely contradictory to what the server just told me.I took a minute to look at the menu and told them I can't rush a decision and left. Today, I sit down at a high top (small) and order a drink and a bottle of water. Like who orders a bottle of water? well, I did, because I'm a good sport and don't want to be cheap. I wasn't hungry quite yet, and so I sat on my laptop for a bit.I noted after an hour and a half, or so that I was starting to get hungry but still had not even had a quality control check from the server. I see him come over and instead of asking me if I needed anything, proceeds to ask me if I'm waiting for someone, and if I am I could wait "over there", showing me the lobby. I explained I'm not waiting for anyone, and then tell him he's rude and ask for my bill.I was going to tip the server extra ( always tip well, usually 20% but often more if the service is great - I've given taxi drivers $100 tips just for being considerate) since I wasn't ordering much, but after that remark he got ZERO. And I told him it was rude to ask me to leave. Then the manager from last night came over to proceed to tell me that the tables are only for dining guests...I explained that I didn't even get a quality control check, let alone be asked if I wanted to order something, and then the manager asked me if I would be back tomorrow. I explained how much I paid for my room (not cheap - my stay here is probably more than his monthly wage), how tired and hungry I was yesterday when they were quick to usher me out at 11PM, and how I got no quality control check today, and that I wouldn't be returning. I literally live in hotels and the service industry and I don't recall EVER being treated so rudely by a greedy staff like this place. Utter garbage, selfish, self centered and small minded. I would avoid at all costs.

Their so called breakfast "buffet" is one step above a continental breakfast. Very little variety including premade scrambled eggs, bacon burnt to a crisp and some other items. In my four day trip I was sick of the food after the 2nd day. No way to order off the menu either so forced to eat the disappointing buffet. Ambiance is fine. Good sized tables. Service is okay too.
