Really love this place pre theatre matinee as I was in the mood for breakfast. They were quite busy, but found seats at the counter. Everyone was very nice and we didn't feel rushed. Next time I need to try dessert.I think they try to seat everyone in a timely manner as I noticed a small table wedged in where a table shouldn't be for an older woman by herself that couldn't sit at the counter. And kudos to an old fashioned self service coat rack.Will definitely be coming back here again.

The Red Flame Diner serves great breakfasts, are super-fast and clean. It can also be an expensive breakfast. Don't be surprised at breakfast for 2 at $48 (French toast and 1 egg with bacon) and then the taxes and mandatory tip take you to $60. So look at the specials and be careful or ordering a la carte. Nice having a coat rack to use as some of the booths are small.

FOOD: I didn't try any "food", though I will say they had a pretty large menu. From breakfast delights to dinner, they seemed to offer a little bit of everything. I did order cheesecake and a hot chocolate, and my Judez ordered hot chocolate and key lime. My cheesecake was delicious btw... as long as the cocoa. SERVICE: Fast. Accurate. Polite. Nothing more, nothing less. AMBIANCE: If you're from NYC, then it's just a typical diner. This one is off 42nd and 6th I think. So, midtown, Times Square (just not IN Times Square, which is obviously a good thing). If you're not from NYC, just imagine what you'd think a diner in the city is like; it's like that. I really liked it. Cheesecake was good and hot cocoa was too. Close enough to Times Square and Broadway without being RIGHT on it. Neat little diner. Fast service. Decent prices (actually on the cheap side as far as other places in the city go, which is a good thing). Good food. Big menu. Open late.

As Diner food goes, this was one of the better places to go. Staple diner style bacon cheese burger deluxe was very good. Served with a quarter head of lettuce (fresh) a beefsteak tomato slice and golden brown French fries. A small sealed container of coleslaw, deli mustard, mayonnaise, and a wedge of deli pickle is offered on a condiments plate. The only suggestion I would provide is to serve a better bun, albeit the current on is not completely bad. Service was fine and the staff were also pleasant.Prices for Manhattan, were reasonable. The Ambience was ok, bright lighting and a more modern look as well.
