Came here on a business trip and stumbled across it while walking, you won't regret it! Taking advantage of their specials, I ordered a limited time Negroni and it was an absolute delight. Enjoyed a great night aloneService was attentive and I look forward to coming back. You'll definitely hear fun music that will have you shaking your head with excitement.

Randomly walked in without expecting much, my husband and I were just looking for a quick place to eat before going to the Met. But well well well, didn't we get a total surprise by the food here. First of all, the restaurant has a really nice ambiance, with great music and loved the interior design, it's exactly how I imaged a traditional New York restaurant would love like. A bit retro vibe.We got the carrot hummus as an appetizer, it came with a few warm pita bread and some lettuces, it was fresh, but it wasn't outstanding. However the fried chicken sandwich and the tomato soup with grilled cheese were surprisingly delicious. The sandwich had great texture and a great sauce going with it. And soup was so creamy and the flavor was just perfect. It looked small in the beginning but it was quite filling. The service was fast however the lady seemed like she was in a bad mood while serving us and the table next to us. By the end of our dining experience she seemed a bit happier. I would probably not travel far just to eat at this restaurant again, but if im in the area I would certainly come in and grab the soup and the sandwich again!

It was my first time here this past weekend and I definitely still think about this place. We made a reservation and upon entering, there was a lot of seating as well as customers at the restaurant. The outside and inside seating area were practically full, so we knew that this place was going to be great.We ordered from their brunch menu and the food was delicious! We left with empty plates in front of us. The waiters were very friendly and took our order promptly as well. It made me want to come back again with a group of friends to experience how it would be like to go and grab a couple of drinks.Food was yummy. Service was amazing. Ambiance was great. The Penrose definitely has a great vibe. The dim lighting and chill atmosphere make it perfect for a casual date or catching up with friends. The drinks are affordable, and I'll give them credit--they look pretty and are well-presented. As for the taste, they're not bad, but not the best I've had either. The cocktails could use a little more depth or creativity, but they're still enjoyable enough for the price. Overall, it's a solid spot if you're looking for a relaxed place to hang out, even though there's room for improvement in the drink quality.

Drinks were delish! Didn't get anything besides drinks but the food looked good and the servers were friendly and attentive at the bar.

This place had a nice aesthetic to it but it was very dark inside. Also got seated at a high top table that was in an awkward spot, but it was fine. On first glance at the food, it seemed small and underwhelming, but never judge a book by its cover. The eggs Benedict was among the best I've ever had. The muffin was toasted well and actually had flavor (butter). The eggs were nicely poached. There was some lettuce under the muffin that was seasoned and paired nicely (never had it like that before). Overall a good spot and I would like to try out more items.

Get the shishito peppers and don't forget to put lime juice over it. You will not regret it! Take advantage of their specials, we got the limited time negroni one and it was definitely a good time.The service was down to earth and I am looking forward to coming back. You are bound to hear fun music that you can bop your head to excitedly.

The Penrose was adorable for a cute Sunday brunch! We had a carafe of Bellini's, delicious food and a wait staff that was extremely sweet & hospitable. A really cute neighborhood joint if you're ever in the area but even still, one I'd travel to. Absolutely would visit again, the food surprised me I must say everything was absolutely delicious!

Delicious cocktails and good, friendly service! Plenty of different spaces to go around.

Colette is a gem, pours immaculate Guinness glasses! So heart warming and makes the bar vibes 10/10!
