I'm so glad we caught the last 15 minutes of happy hour! Great happy hour food and drink prices. We had a few drinks and ordered the fried squid tentacles, chicken wings, and tteokbokki. The electronic ordering system made it really easy for us to get everything we wanted. We were able to place a second order easily when we realized we weren't full after the first few dishes. Funny story and totally not within the restaurant staff's control - when we arrived the elevator wasn't working and we took the stairs up by following one of the staff members. By the time we left, the elevator was working again. Not gonna lie, I was a little scared to get inside... thankfully we made it down fine! Typical K-town mishaps :)

I've been trying to give K-Town bars another chance, but my experience here has been disappointing. A military friend and I decided to check this place out. While the ambiance was nice at first, it quickly became clear that they take advantage of patrons, especially tourists. As a Queens resident, I've decided to stick to bars in my neighborhood, like those in Rego Park or Astoria, where I can enjoy fair prices without feeling ripped off. For instance, there's a spot I frequent where I can get a Long Island Iced Tea on a Beer pint glass for $11 plus a free shot--and I happily tip more there than I ever would here.At "The Maze," their so-called "20% off" happy hour seemed like a gimmick. They added extra beers to the bill as if we'd invited more people, all without my consent. To make matters worse, my friend, who had an open tab, gave me a set amount to pay, only for us to be blindsided by a much higher bill. It's a reminder to always have a sober person keep an eye on things when visiting places like this.Overall, just be cautious when ordering here, and good luck if you decide to give it a try.

A friend suggested we grab a quick bite to eat at Maze after karaoke in the area. We showed up around 8pm without a reservation and was seated right away. That should've been an indication. We ordered a few items off the menu. We had the chicken wings, grilled shishito peppers, uni cream croquette, and spicy rice cakes. The uni cream croquettes were pretty good, but everything else was pretty disappointing. The chicken wings tasted like McDonalds chicken nuggets. The shishito peppers had basically no flavor and the spicy rice cakes was the smallest portion known to man. There was hardly any rice cakes. Service was forgettable. And it's not as if it was cheap either...

Dinner here was so freaking good! The space inside is so big and perfect for a spot to catch up with friends or coworkers after a day out. The drinks were slightly sweet and not extremely strong which we loved and the appetizers blew us away! The fries were crispy but also starchy because they use fresh sweet potatoes. The corn cheese blew our minds. The bacon and gnocchi inside of it added so much texture and flavor. The rice cakes in the soup were so chewy and mildly spicy. As for the risotto, it was creamy and soft like a wet rice but with lots of cheese and meat! And to end, the mochi was cold and chewy perfection. The bartender and servers were also really kind and quick with our drinks and food.

I was looking forward to trying this restaurant in the city. When I arrived I found parking on the street nearby. I found the restaurant, and it was on the upper level. When I walked in, I loved the decor. We were sat and served by Serin and Roberto. We started with Maze Martini and the Maze Mojito, which were really good drinks. For our appetizers, we had the Grilled scallops, which were good but a tad rubbery and the chicken wings, which were good. For our entrées we had the garlic butter shrimp and the scallop gorgonzola gnocchi. The shrimp was good, but the gnocchi was delicious! For dessert, we had the green tea mochi, which was tasty. We ordered everything via computer. It was a really good experience!

Was one of the last bars open around K-Town and squeezed in at 1AMGnocchi corn cheese slapped and was perfect amount to share. Yuzu highball was also solid, but nothing too special. Vibes are very modern, edgy, almost punky?Staff were kind and chill. Order on a tablet.
