The Long Room not only lives up to its name but delivers on everything a restaurant should. We came here with a big group (20 people) and reserved the front area of tables. We wanted the back section but were denied (long story). That said, we made the best of it and had a good time.Booking and organizing everything ahead of time was a pretty seamless process and the execution day-of was nearly painless. We had a lot of passed finger foods that were bottleless for two hours - needless to say no one left hungry - and a cash bar. It was phenomenal! The place was pretty packed around happy hour / dinner time but we, and our waitress, made due. The food was kept in good supply and she did a decent job of making sure everyone had a drink at all times. The only hiccup was paying the final bill. I'm not sure why it too so long to get it together for me to sign but it was at least fifteen minutes of me just waiting (& waiting..). However, that was the only sub-par thing that occurred. So a win overall! We enjoyed our visit to TLR and I'd come back again next time I find myself in the city.

The Long Room is dimly lit and cozy like all of the bars I went to in Ireland. It's located immediately next door to the Aura Hotel and across from the Belasco Theater. They offer Broadway themed to drink specials, like the Once Upon a Mattress vodka cocktail I ordered. The cauliflower hummus ($15) was peppery, served with warm naan and crunchy raw veggies. It was a large portion and there was plenty to share. I ordered the Turmeric Roasted Cauliflower salad ($17) and added sticky tofu ($7). The salad - lots of quinoa, avocado, and arugula - was really big, mostly very tasty though the cauliflower was underwhelming. My husband got the black bean burger and fries and enjoyed it.We did do a reservation here as we needed to make a show on time. Service was speedy until we were done eating, then we had to flag someone down for the check. Overall a pleasant experience.

I had a TERRIBLE experience at the Long Room, even though it was on my NYC dining bucket list. A friend was visiting from out of town who is a whiskey lover. Our server, Kwayesi was great. But the bar back working that evening was horrendous. Most notably, as our server explained the menu to us, the bar back SCREAMED across the loud restaurant to tell him something and waved him down to leave us. I've never experienced something like that before. Then, at the end of the night, that same bar back was arguing for my guest to pay his bill before the bar was even closed. We also didn't know our server had left. The barback came up to us with a nasty disposition and didn't help us when one of his staff members (assuming it was him) moved my guest's scarf that was hanging on the stair railing. He said "no there was no scarf" with a deadpan look. He had no decorum nor did he try to help us. I walked to the front of the restaurant to see it was balled up on the bar. He needs to be retrained or let go. The whiskey was ok and the holiday decor was cute. That's it. I wish I read the other reviews about this location's terrible service before spending time and money there. I've included a picture of the rude barback.

Spent a couple hours here at the bar. They do a great pint of Guinness and cocktails were also superb. It's a classic Irish bar. We did have spinach and artichoke dip which was great as well. $17 for a cocktail.

Let me first say, this place looked GORGEOUS for the holidays! But, other than the aesthetics, it wasn't the best visit. We sat down and were greeted promptly. But, after placing our orders we waited about 35 mins for our food to arrive. The restaurant didn't seem to be all that busy. Servers didn't really check in or we would have asked what the delay was. When the food did come it just wasn't all that good. The Burger was super dry, it's bun toasted but not terribly warm. For a burger infused with Frank's Red Hot, it lacked flavor. The flatbread was nothing to write home about either. The sauce didn't taste like it was made in-house. The price vs. quality of it all was just off. Disappointed overall.

This place hit the spot. I loved the Mac and wings. We sat at the bar and the Bar Tender was great. This place was packed but the food came out fast. Ambiance was nice. If you're looking for a nice spot near broadway this is it. It's

I'll start with the positive - the holiday decorations were beautiful and made the space feel very cozy on a cold winter day. Other than that, though, quite a disappointing experience. We arrived a few minutes early for our 6:00 reservation, and were seated with just a short wait - but no one came to take any orders until 6:27. Being in the theater district when many diners - including us - had shows to get to requires a level of promptness, so sitting for 25 minutes waiting to get anyone's attention was problematic. The same issue was true when we needed the cheque later in the evening - it took 15 minutes to flag someone down for it. As for the food itself - the spinach artichoke dip was good, though it came with very few chips, the s'mousse dessert was the star of the show, the margherita flatbread tasted like something I'd get from the food court of a roller skating rink, and the chicken sandwich was okay. Nothing special, and when coupled with the service, a rather disappointing pre-show meal.

Okay. Mac and cheese lovers out there, DO NOT SKIP THIS PLACE. Just a heads up, the Mac is not very photogenic but the FLAVOR is out of control. Easily in my top 10. I only got it as a side but afterwards wished it was my main. The Long Room burger didn't disappoint either. The atmosphere is super cool, def recommend sitting towards the back so you get the full experience. They have a cute fireplace area in the back that makes for a great pre dinner cocktail spot. We sat at the bar and the service was quick for a Saturday!

We were here the 2nd week of December and YES, it's COLD! Walked in an immediately felt the warmth! I'd say it was about 2pm and we went straight to the bar for drinks. The staff was cordial and we were served promptly. The Classic Margaritas and Bombay Sapphire drinks were on point! I'd definitely come here again on our next trip!

I love a simple Irish pub in Midtown. Especially when their bartenders willing to interact with the customers, and not just the regular. The old fashion was awesome. The bar table is long and roomy before the everyone come in. However, the host know how to keep control of the crowd. We got "L" as our bartender and she is friendly and always smile : ) I hope she know. However, the other bartender not in our section was hot and cool looking (I really want to tell her that I know her from some where : ). The price is affordable. Also, I saw more than few single hotties walked to the back to meet up with their friends which was a good sign. There are few improvement might need: the restroom is too small and line can be long.
